Salah, Son & Edouard > Rich/Saka, Groß and Toney -8?

Would give me a playing 11

Very Very Tempted to Wildcard, despite having 2 Free Transfers. Someone talk me out of it. The timing of these injuries have butchered me

    Areola, Dubravka
Trent (Out) Taylor (Flagged) Zinchenko (Flagged) Gabriel, Porro
Salah (AFCON), Son (Asia Cup), Hwang (Asia Cup), Bowen (Out), Gordon
    Watkins, Darwin, Solanke

Would take a -4 and do Salah, Son and Hwang to Saka, Gross and Palmer.

    OR would wildcard into

    Areola, Dubravka
    Gabriel, Porro, Doughty, Walker, Estupinan
    Gross, Richarlison, Saka, Palmer, Foden
    Haaland, Watkins, Pedro
(Would leave enough money in the bank to do Foden and Saka to Son and Salah when they're back from their tournaments.

    Current OR: 15k

You will be more than fine with - 4. You can field at least 10 respectable players that way, and this does not look like a gameweek with a lot of points.

Failed to answer under the correct question twice lol.

    Salah, Son to (pick 2):
    A - Foden
    B - Grob
    C - Richarlison
    Also for -4, Archer to:
1 - Joao Pedro (got money for Haal)
    2 - play Archer

I reckon there could be a Sheff utd goal against a depleted hammers side away from home so maybe its a coin toss. The feedback is appreciated though.

    Turner

    Watkins Alvarez Solanke

    2 FT

    Any suggestions please ?
    I am currently thinking
    1. Salah and Son -> Saka and Foden
    2. Salah and Trent -> Saka/Foden and Estu
    3. All above for -4

It's close but I think you're okay without the hit. Estu probably gets ~6 and Udogie/Porro probably concede but can get attacking returns too. Plus Salah/TAA may both be necessary to get back by GW25.

Thank you - I think that's the right order. For me I'm at:

        Areola, Dubravka
        Trippier, Porro, Gabriel (TAA, Taylor)
        Saka, Palmer (Salah, Son, Hwang)
        Watkins, Solanke, Archer

        2ft

I think I'm stuck with Trippier and Hwang who doesn't help me get funds. Want Haaland for 22 and TAA for 25. Will have money for Salah for free in 24 if necessary. I'd hold Salah now but don't think I can guarantee getting out 11 with Taylor uncertainty

So it's seemingly Salah, Son -> Foden and then 1 of Bernardo, Gross, Richarlison, Jota, etc. I don't love any of them so almost just considering going with as many fixtures as possible...

I'm the last five PL games Gross has got 2 assists. He's not even in the Top 30 midfielders when sorted by form. He is however 13th for xGI.

At best, it's a move that's just based on potential - I don't think he really warrants the bandwagon that the content creators have made.

I mean tbf it's convenient to cut it off at last 5. Also multiple assists in FA cup. Probably not getting him but hard to deny he's a great pick for value when virtually everyone else is a rotation risk or may blank

I'm thinking Bernardo in too because he doubles. I feel like I'm on an island though! Garnacho's a fine pick if you need the funds for a later move, just doesn't double and you never know if the team around him could just not turn up and in so doing not allow him to get in certain games.

I already did Son and Salah to Bowen and Foden for a hit. With Bowen and TAA and Nkunku crocked, should I take another hit to get Gross in for Hee Chan?

    Areola (Leno)
    Virgil, Saliba, Taylor, Mengi (TAA)

To other wildcarders if it is of any use:

    WC GW21
    (14.7 ITB):

    Areola (shu)
Porro (mun) - Estu (WOL) - Doughty (bur)
Saka (CRY) - Foden (new) - Gross (WOL) - Palmer (FUL)
Watkins (eve) - Toney (NFO) - Solanke (LIV)

    (Dubravka, Garnacho, Walker, Taylor)

    GW22:
(save FT or Toney/Watkins -> Haaland - will probably only sell Watkins if Toney had a GW21 haul or confirmed double in GW25). Otherwise save FT if Haaland still not fit.

    Areola (BOU)
Porro (BRE) - Walker (BUR) - Estu (lut)
Saka (nfo) - Foden (BUR) - Gross (lut) - Palmer (liv)
Haaland (BUR) - Watkins (NEW) - Solanke (whu)

    (Dubravka, Doughty, Garnacho, Taylor)

    GW23:
(save FT unless saved from GW22 and Haaland is finally fit)

    Dubravka (LUT)
Porro (eve) - Walker (bre) - Estu (CRY)
Saka (LIV) - Foden (bre) - Gross (CRY) - Palmer (WOL)
Haaland (bre) - Watkins (shu) - Solanke (NFO)

    (Areola, Garnacho, Taylor, Doughty)

    GW24:
(Porro + Foden/Saka -> TAA + Salah (-4) unless Haaland still not fit. Then it would be for free). Probably Foden if KDB is back in the team and minutes uncertain, but would also matter if the DGW25 occurs which could result in booting Saka.

    Dubravka (nfo)
TAA (BUR) - Walker (EVE) - Doughty (SHU)
Salah (BUR) - Saka (whu)/Foden (EVE) - Gross (tot) - Palmer (cry)
Haaland (EVE) - Watkins (MUN) - Solanke (FUL)

    (Areola, Estu, Garnacho, Taylor)

    (D)GW25:
Might have 5-6 DGW'ers and probably saving FT

    Areola
    TAA* - Walker - Estu - Doughty
    Salah - Saka/Foden - Gross
    Haaland - Watkins - Solanke

    (Dubravka, Palmer, Garnacho, Taylor)

    (B)GW26:
Palmer, TAA, Salah on the bench due to blanking. Selling Doughty for a Wolves or Palace 4.5 or something.

I know it's looking planning far out, but almost 15 mil ITB. Let's say Solanke gets injured, then he will bethe one out for Haaland. The result would be a -4 from somewhere to free up the mil in difference between him and Toney so that I could still fund TAA + Salah. Think the plan is decent 😉

Great post. I always plan like this on WC as well.

With 7 doubts I will probably pull the trigger…

Compared to your draft I think I’m probably looking at Gabriel instead of Porro and maybe Pedro instead of Solanke.

Have you thought about having Alvarez as Haaland placeholder?

      1. Salarrivederci
        • 9 Years
        2 years, 3 months ago

        Thanks for the reply.

I don't like to own those CBs 😉 So no Gabriel for me, but I get it that Arsenal defense is somewhat a 'go to'.

I like Pedro I really do, but Solanke with a DGW somewhere and whu, nfo and ful coming up looks too good to pass for me.

Have thought about Alvarez, but I I think Haaland will be back for GW23/24 and i quite like Toneys next 2-3 with NFO without most players due to AFCON and his comeback game at home. Looks tasty! Might even (C) him :D. Then Spurs away, but with backs as CBs. Could get something. Alvarez will play Newcastle away and the a Burnley team so deep that I like Foden/KDB more in that matchup. But hard to chose 3/5 of Alvarez, Watkins, Solanke, Pedro and Toney for sure 🙂

          This is my situation..

Teams a mess, but if possible would like to hold the WC... But might be forced.

          Salah**
          Son**
          Taylor** (May play? presser tomorrow)
TAA* (could be good to hold 1 more gw as may be back)
Zinchenko* (Arteta gave 50/50 but positive comment)
Bowen* (Any news here? Game far away)
          Lascelles* (Maaaay get some minutes?)

          For -8 i can do:
          Son -> Saka
Lascelles -> Walker (prepare for dgw)
          Taylor -> Gabriel

          Would leave me this team:

          Turner
          Gabriel, Estupinan, Walker
          Saka, Palmer, Richarlison, Bowen*
          Watkins, Solanke, Alvarez

          Dubravka, Zinchenko*, TAA**, Salah**

No route back to Haaland... WC or not?

That's not enough, Bowen won't start. You'd have to take -12, which is close. However, I'd expect Zinchenko to play.

Salah out and you have route to Haaland.

I think my WC planning shows that you can have a good team from GW21-28 with WC. On paper only need to pay up for TAA, Salah and Haaland when time is right.
On the other hand you will probably be forced to FH in GW29 (I count on using FH in GW29).

I would WC, but again we all play it different. But if Haaland is back for GW 22/23 then you'd do Salah and Alvarez -> Cheapie + Haaland (-4) even though you say 'no route' now 😉

When Salah is back you'd have some cash and could do Bowen + Richarlison out or something like that (-4) probably.
Just think it is a mess 🙂

But then again. If Haaland is out the next 5 GWs then you look pretty good actually.

Really can't tell you 😀 But my WC is active, and had a team with slightly fewer problems.

    A -4 to get Estupinan/Foden/Palmer in

Have full 11 starting ,two playing subs and can keep Salah on the bench?

Also 6m to get Halland back for Darwin later.

    No need to overthink it?

    Anyone care to comment?

0ft and 3.2m in the bank.

Did Salah to Bowen like most earlier.

    Areola
    TAA* Porro Taylor* Gusto
    Bowen* Saka Foden Palmer
    Watkins Alvarez

    Leno Konsa Archer Salah*

Should I take any hit or just ride it out and take -4 next GW to get Haaland back?

Last time everyone needed Taylor he came through with an assist. Have faith he will come though again 😉

    Areola
    Saliba, Porro, Gabriel, Taylor
    Gordon, Saka (c), Palmer
    Solanke, Watkins, Archer

    Dubravka, TAA, Salah, Son

    2ft 3.9 itb

My gut is to go Salah to Gross. I'd then bench Archer and hope Taylor starts. This would give me enough cash to bring Haaland back in gw22.

    Yes or no?

I also feel 2ft could prove vital for gw22 once we have more information on blanks and doubles.

Do Salah to Gross but I’d play Archer ahead of Taylor
