Morning all! Best way to afford Halaand with 2FTs? Keeping KDB would cost me -4 but might be better here?

    2FT moves:
    A) Watkins + KDB —> Haland + Gordon (Start Gordon over [Gross VS TOT])
    B) Alvarez + KDB —> Haaland + Chukwuemeka

    -4 moves:
    C) Alvarez + Gross + TAA —> Halaand + Chukwuemeka + Branthwaite (-4)
    D) Alvarez + Saka + Trippier —> Haaland + Garnacho + Doughty (-4)
    E) Watkins + Saka + Foden —> Haaland + Jota + Chukwuemeka (-4)

    Cheers!

    Current front 8:

    KDB - Saka - Foden - Gross - Palmer
    Watkins - Solanke - Alvarez - £1.0 ITB

Would be easier if you could see your full team. D is the only one that doesn't involve ditching players most are bringing in, but I don't like ditching Trippier and Saka either

Defense is: TAA - Trippier - Porro - Saliba - Taylor.

Only places to raise funds there was TAA and Trippier.

Those scrambling to get Liverpool / City players what’s your plan for gw26?

    1. The Mentaculus

Keep triple City. Sell 2 Liverpool for -4 to field 11. WC27

It's only Liverpool that blanks in 26. Likely blank in 29 so sell in 26 for players that cover 26 & 29

I am not looking it as necessarily a double week as they play 2 games and blank whereas City double and play 26 so got 3 City in place and Darwin and may leave it at that so can easily navigate 26 with no hit. I can’t afford Trent and with midfield of KDB Saka Foden Richarlison and Palmer can’t remove any for Jota ( unless for injury). Might get Van Dijk as at least we know he has best chance of playing both games in 25

Saka > Jota worth a hit?
Currently got no Pool players with DGW25 ahead. Can't get to Trippier with KDB & Haaland. Watkins will become Toney I think.
Also considering Andersen > Gomez (next GW, not a hit)

What would be the preferred City/Pool mix considering the double and the fact you can't fit them all?

Haaland KDB Foden with one of Darwin/Jota
Haaland Foden with Darwin Jota, and maybe even TAA

    Thoughts?

I've got Haaland, Foden, Jota and Taa. Would like KDB as well but messes the rest of the team up too much ahead of the blank

I have Haaland Foden KDB, and Darwin. Can’t get to Trent but don’t think he will start both games in 25 so may go Van Dijk who tends to do quite well in double- cannot get Jota as all my midfielders doing well

Have exact cash for Gordon>Jota and Porro>Chambers (fodder)(3.8) (-4). Worried Jota may rise and there won't be a 3.7 enabling defender.

people really overthinking the which city assets issue imo. i think theres things we need to accept. its not the erling from last season, even prior to his injury he was propped up by two huge GW hauls and alvarez and foden are nailed (or as good as in Pep rotation world) due to their form and importance to the team. so if you already own them i dont think theres any need to switch them out, they can easily match the two more expensive assets. and i actually think if pep does decide to rotate for champions league its more likely the players who have just come back from injury that get a rest.

I was thinking the same sort of thing last night KDB, Foden and owner). The trouble is, of course, having to bet against Haaland and his ownership every week. Just a scrawny goal and assist from him, and you're in trouble.

You have a point definitely but going without Haaland in a DGW with BRE and CHE at home, when many will use the TC chip on him... Imagine if he braces in both for example (which is not crazy), 26 pts against you in 250%EO or something like that.... its just one of those

I currently have TAA, Walker, Foden, Alvarez for DGW25 and 2FT

Alvarez -> Haaland looking like a must and I was originally planning to bring in Jota and Darwin but given that I'll need to sub them straight out in 26 again at the cost of a hit, I'm wondering if I might be better off just avoiding one or both. I'd also have to lose one or two of

Saka, Richarlison, Trippier, Watkins to fund the move who all have decent fixtures. Maybe better just to avoid altogether? Anyone doing the same?

Took a risk captaining Foden this week, my only reasoning that Walker would be back giving Foden a bit more freedom to get in those central positions a little more and i thought Kev and Haalands minutes may still be managed. I out of 3 ain’t bad 😀

How's this for an aggressive plan to navigate the next couple of weeks?

GW24: Porro, Taylor, Watkins to Walker, Doughty, Darwin (-4)
GW25: Solanke, Rich to Toney, Barkley (-4)
GW26: Salah, Darwin, Barkley to Odegaard, Watkins, Neto (-8)

It also give you a -20.

Salah is an unknown. Anyone on Liv or Brent double and then blank. So it's 2 games over 2 GWs even though it's a double in 25.

      Seems too risky to me.

I'm up for some hits too but I think when you're taking a -4 both to buy & to sell (e.g. for Darwin) you might be eating a little too much into your profit margin (over just keeping Watkins). So I would probably scale this back just a little

Yeah, Barkley would just be about funding the rest as well. Would prefer to keep Rich otherwise really

BOC610 planted the idea of going no haaland in my head and I can't shake it now.... Will allow me to put a great team out in the double and better prep for 29.... but as others said, at 250% EO there is a really high risk of disaster
