On WC, need help to pick some players.

    Which defender?

    A) Porro
    B) Doughty

    And which duo?

    1) Cunha and Palmer
    2) Toney and Neto

    I'm going to BB 25.

B2. I'd rather be carrying Doughty through the blank than Palmer atm with the 2 DGWs in the time that Chelsea have some tougher fixtures (although you may have a momentary regret this week if Palace's defensive form continues). Slightly prefer Neto to Cunha still I think especially v Spurs where he looks ideal to exploit the vacant FB spaces

Best City defender to get, thinking of getting instead of liverpool due to their BGW and City play Bournemouth

Perfectly fine, I have got greens playing with 7-9 over the years in blank weeks. Quality of players is more important than quantity. I think someone like Doughty outscores every City defender between now and 29 for example.

colwill, gordon and solanke>Walker, jota and darwin for a minus 8 ? plan then is to save in gw 25 as I have 3 city and 3 pool in place and make 3 changes in gw 26 to field 11 for a minus 4

Walker plays in gw 26 and double in gw 25. If I do the move now I can save a transfer in gw 25 and have 2 free in blank gw 26. Plus walker have a good chance og a cs against everton

    Dubravka
    TAA, Porro, Gabriel
    Saka, Palmer, Foden, Bowen
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke
    Areola, Garnacho, Udogie, Taylor

    GW24: Bowen to Jota
25: Saka to KDB or Udogie/Porro to Walker
    26: 2FT to hopefully get 11 players

I managed to post this on an old article, so moving here with a typo amended too.

So GW24 to GW29 summary mainly for my own benefit, with the more obvious/common players in brackets:

GW24: plum fixtures for DGW25 teams, consider taking a hit a week early if you wee going to take it next week anyway.

GW25: DGW for City (Haaland, Foden, Alvarez, KDB, Foden, Walker), Pool (Jota, TAA, Salah, Darwin, Robertson, Virgil, Diaz), Brentford (Toney) & Luton (Doughty, Adebayo)

GW26: Blank for Chelsea (Palmer), Pool, Spurs (Rich, Porro, Son) & Luton - so in GW25 make sure no more than 3 (ignoring keepers) from those 4 teams.

    GW27: All normal

GW28: DGW for Bournemouth (Solanke, Neto) and Luton (Doughty)

GW29: Could only be 3 games: Burnley (Taylor if fit), Brentford, Fulham (Leno), Spurs, West Ham (Areola, Bowen, JWP), Villa (Watkins, Luiz, Diaby, Bailey)

    Conclusion:
Toney has 6 Games in a 5 week period: nice and stable differential (for now)

Stable core players with a GW29 and 5 games in 5 gw's, no blanks or doubles: Taylor (if fit), Leno, Areola, Bowen, JWP, Watkins, Luiz, Diaby, Bailey

Doubling players to rotate around blanks but still with 5 games:
    - 2 doubles, 2 blanks: Doughty and Adebayo
    - 5 games than a blank: Foden, Alvarez, KDB, Haaland, Walker, Solanke, Neto

    4 games and 1 blank:
    - Richarlison, Porro, Son

Doubling players but only 4 games with 2 blanks
    - 1 double, 2 blanks: Jota, TAA, Salah, Darwin, Robertson, Diaz, Virgil

Finally, Palmer - 3 games, 2 blanks, no doubles.

    Dubravka
    Virgil, Pedro Porro, Gabriel
    Saka, Foden, Richarlison, Palmer
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

    Areola; Gross, Gusto, Saliba.

    1 FT 3.4 ITB

Team looks really good but no Liverpool attack against Burnley feels really bad.

    A) Good to go, roll the transfer.
    B) Solanke -> Darwin
    C) Palmer -> Diogo J.

Was all set on B but don't love it now that Solanke's double in 28 is confirmed. Selling Palmer against Palace just feels wrong.

      B. You can always buy Solanke back in 27 or 28.
Don't sell Palmer just yet. Palace are in turmoil at the moment and Chelsea looked very good last night.

Who to sell? Will likely have to play the other in GW26

    (A) Saliba (NEW in 26)
    (B) Estupiñan (EVE in 26, rotation)

So people that plan to field a team without using a chip in GW29. The downside is using the weeks in the run up to get players from the fixtures that have a game. So potentially missing out on points from some big hitters until GW29 (Salah etc). Is that a concern for anyone or risking it? or going for the big hitters and fielding little numbers in GW29?

I've got five confirmed fixtures for 29 as things stand so, although I'm not concentrating on that as a priority, it's in the back of my mind while I make transfers.

Might try and get by with seven or so players that week

Are there any Pool defenders worth considering other than TAA or Virgil?

I'm not sure any of them will start both games in the double. Maybe Gomez? He could start one in the middle and one out wide so that Pool can play their first choice back four fresh in the cup final.

Anyone else ended up being better set up for the blanks than DGW25 at this stage?

Some of it has been planning (brought Robinson in, two returns out of two so far, plays in 26 and 29) and some of it luck (Villa losing to Chelsea last night, having Watkins and somehow still having Cash).

But my only DGW25 players at the moment are Haaland, Foden, Kabore and Salah (fitness unknown) with 1FT to use. Seems sub-optimal.

If Salah's not fit, I'm thinking Salah to Jota this week. Then maybe a -4 next week to bring in KDB for Palmer (I'd need to find 0.6 elsewhere, maybe in defence). Seem OK?

Thoughts on gvardiols minutes over next 3 gw’s?

Was looking to bring in vvd but locks me into a -4 for gw26

He'll start at least 2. But no guarantee that he'll start both in the double.
Ake would be my pick of the City defenders but he carries the same risk.

Decent prospects but I've been hurt too many times by City's defence to go back there
