Risk is high, but there is recovery time, 4 nights to sleep. But even if he gets 120 minutes, it's fine if he plays like today.

Definitely no TC on Haaland for me. City is not creating chances for him and he has 2 defenders on his back. Will I dare not captaining him - that is the question.

And they were quite successful. Random corner with 2 deflections - do you want to bet on that happening again? If city did not score this the second goal on a conifer would not have happened. Last 3 games for City Haaland got 0.1, 0.3 and 0.3 xG.

Haaland doesn't care about XG. In fact I'd argue he's a prime example of why XG doesn't work. There's a chance in the box and you're telling me Haaland, Neal Maupay and even Ederson have the same chance of scoring it because of where it is on the pitch?

get your point but if you're the attacking focal point of a team as dominant as City chances come your way regardless. in the everton game as well there were 2 moments in the first half (nunes/alvarez) where if they found passes Haaland would've had 2 big chances

i think haaland's been around too long now at City to doubt his capability of scoring in any game

    1. F4L
      • 11 Years
      2 years, 3 months ago

its not, but foden edges it being 2.5mil cheaper imo. you could see today kdb/walker were going in the right wing channel letting foden inside again; i doubt pep takes away foden's freedom to drift inside now given his output these last 2 months

both an option as well but then both Son/Salah become tough to have

The way of looking at it is that it’s likely neither will get a full 90 in both games. It’s more a case of what damage they can do in their allotted minutes. I’d say it’s pretty even stevens.

Citeh are in a 3 way title race. Play again Saturday at 1730. That's a decent gap.

Pep has just said KDB is fresh, KDB just said he needs more minutes.

Sure but in City's next 4 they don't have any gap larger than 3 days between them (and that's ignoring the Everton and Copenhagen games which had 3 days between them). He's going to get a rest at some point surely.

    Areola
    Gabriel Doughty TAA
    Gordon Palmer Foden Jota Saka
    Haaland Watkins

    Dubravka Tripper Solanke Estupinan

Would you consider -8 with this to move TAA and Palmer to Maguire & KDB? Would then bench maguire and play Tripper. Don't normally like hits but feel like KDB could be essential for the double...

He is getting older and his minutes are managed. Annoying that Foden and KdB didn't manage to do this against Burnley.

I guess its a question if KDB scores more than Palmer+8, Trippier+8 or Solanke+8. Assuming I'd need around 12 from him to break even... Feel like I might just end up with Trent on the bench, don't see the point in -4 to bring in another defender as Tripper is ok cover

I am not certain that injured Trent is worth keeping. If he doesn't play 25, he is out out for 26+29 and I would bench him vs MCI. That's a lot of money when I don't have Salah, Son or even Saka.

Pure guesswork, maybe Ake if Gvardiol is injured but then hes played so many in a row, hes due a benching. Dias probably most likely of the 2 to play both but not sure its worth the extra cost

Sell Trent and Neto (-4), and bring in Son and Bradley?

I have .7 value in Trent and want him generally but don’t want to be strung along with middling health, as I need that spot to return to differentiate my very similar team from league leader. Also am planning for FH for following gameweek so Son blank would be mitigated.
