    If TAA is out, should I;

    A) TAA to VVD
    B) TAA to Gabriel

If I do B, I can afford Palmer to Saka.

      B

I have Trent and I don't think he plays in the DGW.

I'm tempted to just leave him and have Branthwaite off the bench if he misses out on both games.

Considering this myself, unless he's confirmed out. Guess I'll see.

But if I go B, I'll have a playing bench player for 26.

Transfers this GW need to factor in 26. VVD and Gabriel have the same amount of fixtures in 25/26. Depends how you are setup for 26.

Afternoon all. Looking at possible transfers ahead of the dgw.

Didn’t see the game last night but apparently KDB played the full 90mins.

I can do Archer to Alvarez for free or Palmer and downgrade Estu or Anderson (Cpl) to KDB and cheaper defender such as Senesi for a -4.

Already have Haaland (Tc) and Foden and Jota.

    1. Tonyawesome69

In isolation, Alvarez is a don't buy don't sell. He may get the mins but his FPL appeal has dropped with Haaland/KDB back

      1. Mumfie

Thanks, KDB seems capable of returning in every match even it’s a 30 minute outing.

Of course he is capable but the odds aren't as high with reduced mins

    Afternoon all,

    All set to go here;

    Areola
    VVD** Bell**Trippier Gabriel
    Jota** KDB** Foden** Gordon
    Haaland(TC)** Watkins

    Leno Palmer Estupinan Archer

    Anything worth a hit?

Also feels not great benching Estu playing Sheff U or Palmer in his form.. Is it worth starting one of these above Bell even though he has a double?

    1. DARK SIDE OF THE LOON

Aerola over Leno, I’m still not sure which to start?

I hear you on Palmer, I’m debating switching him to KDB but his points have been great.

I’m currently benching Estu and playing Doughty.

If i do my planned transfers i would be in the same boat.

I know Doughty has a double but the fixtures are horrendous, especially from a defence perspective. All it would take is a Brighton clean sheet and Etsu outscores Doughty in my opinion.

Etsu also more than capable of attacking returns....potentially multiple aswell!

        Food for thought

        1. Mumfie

          Definitely!

Might swap and play Estu then. Luton’s second double is a lot more appealing.

Sociedad are in a bit of a slump at the minute (no wins in last 4) but they've not been easy to break down either (only 5 goals conceded in last 10). Bayern are hardly flying either though, and bookies have them both at exactly the same odds to score.

All that said, I'm leaning towards Mbappe because of the home fixture.

Also going for Mbappé because 12 in last 9 is great form, Ligue 1 notwithstanding.
If he biffs it, and he might for the reasons you've given, I'm down to DiMarco as captain...

I'm taking a punt on Hakimi (C) today. Think both games might be quite tight looking at recent results for Sociedad & Lazio and Bayern's slightly lacklustre away form

    TAA to VVD
TAA & Alvarez to VVD & Darwin -4
TAA & Alvarez to Ake & Darwin -4

    Hi Guys,
Can I get some opinions on this plan please?

Porro & Richarlison > Regullon and Jota (-4)

    Pro's
    - 6 doublers for GW25
    - No hit needed to field 11 in GW26
    - I don't lose Solanke who doubles in GW28 or Watkins who has nice fixtures and plays in GW29

    Con's
    - Only 1 Liverpool for GW25
    - Spurs have a decent GW25 fixture and play in GW29

    Dubravka, Areola,
    Porro, Estu, Gabriel, Doughty, Taylor
    Saka, KDB, Foden, Richarlison, Palmer
    Haaland, Watkins, Solanke

Hard, prefer Gabriel over Saliba (more goal threat), flip a coin for Porto/Estu but if you’re looking to bring one of Jota/Foden in then bear in mind Foden plays next week and Jota doesn’t

A couple of options with these guys assuming Trent is out (2 FTs in hand):

    Areola
    Trent-Porro-Schär-Estupinan-Dalot
    Saka-Richarlison-Foden-Palmer-Jota
    Haaland-Watkins-Archer

    A) Trent, Porro & Palmer to Pau Torres, Branthwaite & KDB (-4) and then rolling FT GW26
    B) Trent & Archer to Ake & Darwin and then taking af hit next week by adding Solanke & Garnacho for Darwin & Palmer

Toss up between Triple Captain Haaland or Bench Boost. Currently favour bench boost, dead end into 29 and wildcard out not having to consider bench players as much. X2 = DGW Thoughts?

0.0 in the bank, 1 FT

    Dubravka, Areola

TAA (x2)Trippier, Gabriel, Estupinan, Doughty (x2)

    KDB(x2), Foden(x2), Saka, Gordon, Palmer

Anyone else keeping their TC for other doubles, just for fun purposes? Tired of picking same TC as 90% of players every year, i think it would be more fun to pick maybe Son in some double, or Salah down the road in the dgw. Hell, maybe KDB could be a shout this week too.

Solanke in GW28 looks like the one if you playing catch-up. The other likely DGW for City is GW37 v either ful & bha, or ful & tot. Salah could double that GW as well v either avl/eve or avl/ful. Son will only get a double if Spurs GW34 fixture v City is moved to DGW37.

    Best move here?

    A) Porro -> KONATE
    B) Porro -> Saliba
    C) Porro/Gordon -> VIRGIL/BARKLEY (-4)
    D) Gordon/Watkins -> JOTA/ADEBAYO (-4)
    E) Save FT

    D) leaves enough cash for Jota -> Son after the blank.

    Areola
    Gabriel, Estupinan, Porro
    KDB, FODEN, Saka, Gordon
    HAALAND, DARWIN, Watkins

    Turner, Palmer, Burn, Taylor
    Bank 0.1m, 1FT

      I quite like B, C and D.

      Any could pay off.

Cheers. I’m actually favoring E since both Porro & Gordon have good fixtures this week and I’m fairly well set up for the blanks next week. Darwin -> Solanke (prep for his DGW) and bench Burn/Taylor, Porro & Palmer in 26. Try to keep rolling a FT until we get news on the 29 blanks.

Would you start Salah if you still own him?

      Yes...

Definitely for the second game probably.

Otherwise no point in holding him.

      Depends on the presser.

Yep. Even if he just gets a cameo or two I'd probably take that over whoever else you have on your bench

    Which is best?

    1. Saka Trent to Salah Doughty

    2. Saka Trent Walker to KDB VVD Gabriel

    With two FTs, £0.6m itb.

Midfield of Foden Jota Saka Palmer Gross

Will lose 0.2 on Saka and go back to him soon enough.

Definitely 2 for me. Salahs game time will be dodgy and Kdbs form is too good to ignore. Worth the hit.

If Trent's out, I'd swap him for Gabriel and leave it a that.

    Bottomed:

A couple of options with these guys assuming Trent is out (2 FTs in hand):

    Areola
    Trent-Porro-Schär-Estupinan-Dalot
    Saka-Richarlison-Foden-Palmer-Jota
    Haaland-Watkins-Archer

    A) Trent, Porro & Palmer to Pau Torres, Branthwaite & KDB (-4) and then rolling FT GW26
    B) Trent & Archer to Ake & Darwin and then taking af hit next week by adding Solanke & Garnacho for Darwin & Palmer

Anyone else considering a WC27? I want Son and Salah back, which will require a lot of reshuffling of funds.

If I thought I could do it whilst not blowing FH in 29, Id definitely consider this but I think its too big an ask.

Leaning that way, yeah. Also want Salah & Son back pronto which requires quite a substantial reorganisation of funds; would be a lot of hits to pull that off while simultaneuosly preparing for DGW28. I've also played my BB so want to trim the bench as soon as I can too.

I still plan to FH29 I think as I don't want Villa / West Ham players longer-term & Watkins would really upset the balance of my WC27 draft.

Potential downside is having to compromise on GW34. But if this...

... turns out to be right, I'm fine with just a handful of doublers in 34. The only thing that could really mess up this plan is if, say, City & Liverpool blank due to the FA Cup SF that week, but I think there's a chance their fixtures could be moved to the midweek slot (of 34)

Depends on results of FAC R5 before 27
