I did Zabarnyi over Doughty (will FH 29). Wondering if Estu -> Doughty is worth a -4.

Would you prioritise shifting KDB for Bowen or bringing in a DGW defender this week? Or even both for a hit?

      Am doing FH in 29.

There are some shocking Wild Cards being touted on X by Content Creators ... trying to cover all bases of a double, break, blank ... and trying to stretch to the double in 34 ... double gameweek blank fever is in those ones strong 😉

      Areola / Neto
      Doughty / Udogie / Zabaryni / Gabriel / reguilon
      Bowen / Kudus / Maddison / Son / Saka
      Morris / Watkins / Solanke

How so? keen to hear some thoughts why.

With the above team, i can do the following so i'm struggling to see what's not to like:

          GW28: 5 doubles
GW29: Play with 10 and roll, or 11 by getting Toney
          GW30: Salah in for free
GW31: Haaland for a -4, or for free if roll 29 transfer

You think the only assets your team needs are Salah and Haaland. You've not taken Newcastle, Chelsea, Man United and other Liverpool assets into consideration. How many of your squad are actually long-term picks?

The landscape will change fast post-30. Not having even Salah and Haaland ready puts you on the backfoot. Is the upside in 28 and 29 worth it? If so, crack on.

              hmmm fair builds.

I would say that things are always changing in fantasy so who is to say that Newcastle / United / chelsea assets will actually be appealing when that comes around? Plus have transfers to get those players in alongside FH in one of the doubles makes one of them achieveable.

Will need to consider how many of the squad are long term picks but from what I've looked through the team doens't look particularly weak post 32 that can't be dealt with transfers

not at all, haaland back in 31.

of course its a risk not having him for liverpool & arsenal. but if there was ever a time to do it, it's with those fixtures. Very aware the result of that could be that there is NEVER a time to do it!

I would want Doughty, Udogie, Zab, Kudus, Morris out by GW 30. I expect city to recover point difference from double in 1 to 2 gws.
We don't actually know the form of Spurs. Could be massive fail. Right now they look decent only, not like they did earlier in season.
Bowen despite of 1 GW ave been in poor form. You might want to change him too.
I left Neto as you have backup for him.
So I would expect I would want 6 transfers in GW 30 to recover from that...

Why would you want them all out by 30!?

          Udogie has Luton at home
Kudus has Newcastle (or might be sold for Salah - him or Bowen)
          Morris & Doughty 100% benched.
Zab currently bench, but has palace at home.

Sorry but 3 transfers to recover from that doesn't make sense at all.

Palmer comes in GW31 alongside Haaland.

in terms of others, depending on doubles then i guess they will have more appeal so in say 32 i could do a Udogie > Colwill, or a reg / zab / doughty > Gusto

That is all on the basis you can use your transfers as you perceive them now ... this never happens and why planned moves following a WC never works ... a WC at its best negates the need for planned transfers for the next 4-6 weeks or is a week before a double and bench boost in 34 or 37.

FH 29 removes all of the need for planning to bring in dross and then having to shift them in 30+ rather than attack the fixtures with a move each week based upon contemporary knowledge.

Just think about it, having to plan to bring in Haaland when you already own him is just barmy ... and to do so for a Luton attacker ? That is certifiable:)

similarly you could say holding onto WC and not attacking the opportunity in front of you can not work out the way planned?

FH29 i think is the weakest use of the chip really, I would prefer to use that in a week where there are lots of fixtures, or doubles, and plenty of options to pick from. feels like it has considerably more upside.

I still don't see this dross you are referring to for 30. Double spurs midfield vs Luton, bournemouth with everton at home still having saka, salah, watkins etc in place. Yes, could say would prefer more Liverpool from 30, but will have the main guy and if needed could get others if prepared to hit. City have Arsenal, so not exactly the best fixture.

One thing I could consider is maybe having Kelleher as a second goalie so either a Kelleher / Kaminski pairing, or Areola / Kelleher

I think you are falling into the trap of looking at FH29 as a one week chip ... those that committed to it are set for 28 and 30 onwards without hits or pre planned transfers that are unlikely to be delivered without other fires to put out

Good luck with your WC and hopefully with a bit of luck and a good tail wind it will work out

                        Neto
                        Robinson Virgil Doughty
                        Palmer Saka DLuiz Gross Foden
                        Haaland Solanke

Next week FH, no idea and dependent upon injuries, but 15 starters

Will probably have Werner Watkins Toney
                        Son Madds Bowen DLuiz

No Liverpool or City for a start, not even the likes of Palmer, Gordon or Doug Luiz/Villa as enablers ... then having to dial in preset moves when no doubt you will as normal have other fires to put out.

Pick a WC squad for GW 30 and compare with what you will have 😉

Hmmm i looked earlier on this week and it didn't feel too dissimilar to a Wc30 squad but with the upside of the next two weeks.

I haven't mentioned the upside of no hits either, as you could say any hits saved this week could be taken at a later point to get in the teams / players mentioned.

Ughh what should I do here? 1ft and 2.2itb. Was set on no-FH29 and WC30/31 but with Porro a doubt and Pau not playing more than 45min again has me worried.

    Ederson
    Saliba Doughty Porro*
    Son Foden Saka Garnacho
    Haaland Solanke Watkins

    Dubravka; Douglas, Pau, Reguilon

So basically down to 2 options
    A. Ederson + Garnacho -> Kaminski + Barkley/Bowen (-4, don't FH in 29)
    or
    B. Ederson + Pau -> Neto + Zabarnyi (-4, FH in 29)

I'd wait - more gains to have by maximising the bigger DGWs, and you can't really do that on WC until the fixtures are known. Take a hit to get an extra Bournemouth in this week.

    Areola ( Dubravka )
Estu Porro Branthw ( Taylor / Reguilon )
Salah Saka Palmer Son ( Garnacho )
    Watkins Haaland Solanke (c)

    I did KDB > Salah

    For a hit -4, thinking of :

    A ) Estu > Doughty
    B ) Porro > Doughty

    Is it worthy ?

    Thankssss

I'd get rid of Estupinan - he's a constant headache.

I am also touting Estu > Doughty, but he didn't start midweek so I think he will this weekend.

I'm not FH next week tho, so Doughty adds an extra GW29 player for me.

Do we have reliable Senesi news?

Defence: Estu, Saliba, Senesi, Anderson, Regu.

    A) Play Estu, Anderson, Salib
    B) -4 Senesi > Doughty
    C) -4 Estu > Doughty

    Thanks

is the below team in need of a WC or get along with a couple of hits in 28 & 30 & FH29 in between

    Areola/Dubravka

    Estupinan/Gabriel/Saliba/Branthwaite/Taylor

    Son/Saka/KdB/Richarlison/Foden

    Watkins/Haaland/Archer

    1 FT 0.1 ITB

    Planned moves are

    Estupinan/KdB/Archer-> Zabarnyi/Palmer/Solanke (-8)

    Thoughts?

Wouldn't wildcard vs taking -8. They improve the team so no against these hits/Transfers.

Pulled the trigger on Doughty coming in for the disaster that was the Senesi buy last week.

So ... Kdb > Son for a hit or nah?

    Areola
    Saliba Gabriel Doughty
    Saka Kdb Palmer Gross
    Haaland Watkins Solanke

I wouldn't sell any Man City players this GW with Liverpool's leaky defence.

And KDB playing +60min should also be guaranteed.

Why Son or any Spurs player this week already? They will be ripped apart by Watkins and Co.

You can still take a hit or two next GW and win time to see who will be to fit to play or if you suddenly need to change your chip strategy.

    Senesi* - Gabriel - Doughty

Doughty or Bou def? (Not using FH in 29)

Bou def has much better fixtures in 28 & 30.

Is the GW29 fixture enough to pick Doughty over Bou def?

    Areola-Turner
    Schär-Dalot-Estupinan-Pau-Bradley
    Saka-KdB-Son-Foden-D.Luiz
    Haaland-Watkins-Archer

    A) Saving FH and WC 30/31 via
    - GW28: Archer/KdB/Estupinan -> Solanke/Bowen/Doughty (-8)
    - GW29: Foden -> Maddison and fielding 8

    B) FH29 + WC 30/31 via
