Perfectly good 109 Bench Boost spoiled by a Palmer>Bowen for a hit.

    Field 10 or White>Reguillon for a hit?

I have 3 midfielders locked into my FH team, with the final spot being up for grabs.. seen a lot of D.Luiz, Elanga…. But is there any love for Kudus? Weirdly, I fancy West Ham as the home team in that fixture. Anyone else?

Yes, I’ve just been looking at Robinson and his stats are great. With few clean sheets predicted, an attacking defender against leaky (usually) Spurs followed by SHU seems a good shout

    Areola
    Taylor
    Son (Rich)
    Watkins Morris

I was dead set on not free hitting this week but Rich still being injured has messed it up a bit, can’t decide whether to change plan and play it or just take a -8 to get Bowen Maddison and Toney and leave it there?

    Azpi, Savic, Gabriel, Darmian

    Morata

You will make more profit FHing on DGW

Sorry, but what makes you so sure that FH in gw34 will be so great?
There’s no sure thing in fpl. GW29 might end up being really high scoring and dgw34 a damp squib with lots of SGW players doing well.
13 seasons playing has taught me never to take anything for granted in this game.

I can see a FH37 a good idea if you have no WC

There may not even be a DGW34, but that chance is low

May get rid of Estu to Richards or Muniz, and Moreno to Man U defender to bench along the way, if no injuries. Maybe Isak Olise/Eze/Newcastle defender, but the latter doesn't seem good either, unless Pope is back

            WC has to be
            GK/GK
Udogie (funds), Reg (if fit), (only get two defenders)
Maddison, Bowen, Son, (4th mid of your choice (salah)
            Toney, Watkins, Muniz

Then get rid of 4th midfielder/Bowen to Palmer (maybe have Gusto)

This is a team I can get onboard not playing FH.
If Rich plays, (doubtful) I’d say g2g. If he’s out, I’d punt on a hit for Maddison.
At least you know the player you will sell is gonna get zero, and if Maddy comes in then it’ll be richly rewarded.

Honestly it’s a purely one week punt.
          It’s nobody (+4) v’s Maddison.
Your losses are limited to 4points.
Maybe Maddison gets 2 points and you just sell him for Salah in 30 (or 31).

For those not FH this week, you could have six players playing against Sheffield United GW34

8 players with 4 point hit. Surely enough? This scout picks pretty uninspiring

Rough: Kerkez over Zabarnyi and Garnacho benched.

Smooth: Palmer, Son, Solanke (c) and a lovely assist for Kabore who took a rare trek away from my bench.

Red arrow but another 16 points gap from 2nd in my ML makes it a good week

      Smooth:
My roller-coaster of a season continued, with red and green arrows in alternate weeks ever since GW18, and this week was a green.
With five doublers and a Bench Boost, I got 83 points and rose from 653k to 373k, my highest rank of the season so far.
My biggest scorers were Son (17), Palmer (13), Gross (8), Zabarnyi (8) and Solanke (8), while my five doublers scored 33 points between them.

I had prepared for this Bench Boost by Wildcarding in GW27 and will of course now have to follow it with a Free Hit in GW29. It resulted in a red arrow in GW27, mainly because I’d sold Areola and Foden, but it allowed me to transfer cash from defence to attack and bring in Son and Gross as well as four additional doublers and to leave enough cash in the bank to upgrade Son to Salah later. The reason for playing it now was that I could get five doublers without having to sell any of the best players from my strongest starting eleven and that they were cheap enough for me to bench three of them in later Gameweeks. Very few other FPL managers appear to have adopted this strategy, but one who did (more successfully than myself) was Natasha Kainth, the new leader of The Next Great and Good mini-league, who scored 101 with six doublers and 30 points on her bench and is now 14th in the world.

      Rough:
Captained Neto (4*2) (because Solanke had blanked in each of the previous two Gameweeks and his minutes were doubtful while Sheffield United, Bournemouth’s opponents in their first match of the Gameweek, had failed to score in six of their previous away matches), but it did not go to plan.
My bench only scored 8 points, and seven of my non-doublers only scored one or two points each.

      Rough
brought in Smith's (0pts) for Senesi as my only transfer this week, that transfer meant i benched Ait Nouri's 10pt haul, i also benched Onana's 11pts for Kaminski's 4pts

      Smooth
benched Foden for Garnacho, also with Solanke(c) coming good in the end, along with hauls from Son & Palmer meant a pretty hefty green arrow with 70pts

Left it late, but the -4 for Solanke and Zabarnyi eventually came off, and snuck inside 2m! 🙂

Rough: Kept KDB instead of bringing in Son; I felt the same way he did when Pep took him off

Smooth: Illia Zabarnyi, that goal, and a tiny green arrow after three reds on the bounce

59 points. Brought in Zabarnyi as my purchase of Senesi didn't go well and he had to sit on the bench. Doughy assist, Son, no other returns. Into top 1m for the first time this season lol at 948k. I had slid to 5.5m coming into Xmas. Now had 14 greens in last 16 weeks. Hopefully my FH propels me up a bit higher.

Rough; Starting Solanke(c), who was Alvarez last week, instead of Palmer so didn't quite maximise my points this week. Other options to leave out were Son, Foden, Ode, Saka or Haaland. I knew Palmer would punish me but whichever other player I left out would have doubtless done the same!

Rough: Losing double Arsenal clean sheet because of Ramsdale!

Smooth: Another good GW and Super Zabarnyi doing bits with Solanke Cap!
