Anyone considering Salah VVD and Alisson on FH? No other attacker will start twice in 3 days regardless of what happens tonight

Well...it's all about combos. Double Arsenal attack has more upside than double Liverpool attack because they are more nailed for minutes. And defensively Liverpool have better data than the rest of the times aside from Arsenal.

          Fair enough.
I look at Liverpool’s results and see last clean sheet in gw 27, they even conceded at home against Sheffield.
At look at Liverpool’s last two games and I see team which is imploding.

To be clear, didn’t want to offend him, just give him a wake up\shake up he needs before committing to 2 Liverpool defenders.
I’d expect the same for myself from others.

I'm going with just Robbo and Salah, same with Arsenal, just White and Saka.

I'm guessing you're not on a FH otherwise I don't understand not tripling up. And again it's a risk with Robertson when Gomez or Tsimikas can play left back

Can’t say that until tonights match has been played

What if there’s injuries? What if Salah plays 120 minutes?

I'm going off of odds but yes of course let's see what happens. Assuming no injuries I still think only nailed players worth considering are Salah Alisson and VVD. 3 days turnaround is nothing...

What would have to happen for TAA to be a good solid pick for GW34 which I insist is 2 games in 3 days...only thing would be a Gomez injury

  2. Fewer blanks/doubles next season?

    PL changes for next season:

    1) No "winter break" split weekend
    2) No PL fixtures during FA Cup quarter final weekend
    3) FA Cup final will be GW37

So the only rearrangements for domestic cup matches should be the League Cup final (max 2 games), the FA Cup semis (max 4 games) and the FA Cup final (max 2 games).

I was just reading about this on the FA website. Feels pretty significant from an FPL point of view. Can't decide if fewer blanks and doubles is a good or bad thing - my initial instinctive reaction is that less variance might make it less interesting, but maybe a good thing double / blank planning doesn't dominate so much. There's something to be said for 'classic' gameweeks.

This is probably good for PL Teams, but quite a few of the smaller clubs need the revenue of replays. Not sure overall that this is good for football

It will just make it more vanilla.

Poor show for real football and means there's less of an edge in FPL.

Excellent news for FPL ghost teams with less blanks and doubles. Feel like top 100k a realistic target next season.

        • 13 Years

Pretty devastating for traditionalists, magic of the cup etc. and smaller teams who rely on revenue generated by replays. On the other hand, surely upsets are now a little more likely so may see some lower league teams in later rounds. Maybe.

This seems sensible at first glance but I'm not a big fan of the extended minutes rule which might have precipitated the loss of replays due to longer playing times. Why can't a rugby like stop-start timing approach be used that runs to 45 mins?

That would probably lead to elapsed times even longer than the current longer playing times.
A stop-start timing approach would probably have to run to about 30 minutes each half.

Forest have scored in their last 5 matches, so I don't fancy Everton's chances of a clean sheet as even before the shocker against Chelsea their form in defence has not been great since at least Feb.

    Last DGW spot, WC GW35:

    A) Palmer to Eze (0.4 loss on Palmer)
    B) Haaland to Mateta/Cunha
    C) Kabore to Andersen/Mykolenko def and play 4 at the back

    Sa
    Zabarnyi, Gabriel, VVD
    Saka, Salah, Palmer, Havertz

    Dubravka, Garnacho, Maguire, Kabore

Not sure if I should get a defender or keeper in for DGW or stick with the plan and go more attacking.

WC in 35 and have 1 FT left.

My plan is WC in 35. What do you think of the below moves for a -4? Do you think the defence is a bit weak?

    1. Porro > Mitchell or Ait Nourri
    2. Porro > Pool Defender
    3. Palmer > Havertz
    4. Mubama > Cunha or Mateta

    Current Team

I had 2 free transfers this week. Made them on Monday. Then clicked free hit today. Question is, will it cancel my two transfers and also send me back to one transfer next week? If so, my 37 team will be screwed!!

Yeah gets cancelled and you lose your rolled transfer

So much for me trying to beat the system. Bad planning by myself for sure. Let’s hope for a big scoring DGW to allow me a couple of hits!!!

How does this FH team look?
    Pickford Sa
    Trent Robbo White munoz mykolenko
    Odegard Havertz salah eze olise
    Solanke Cunha McBurnie

Trying to be little more differential, Odegard could be Saka too

Don't particularly like Trent and Robbo, think both will have their minutes managed and liverpool look shocking at the back

Really tempted bringing in Hwang as a differential but it means benching one of these, surely not worth it right?

    A) Foden
    B) Palmer
    C) Haaland

Will bring Palmer back in on WC at a cost of 0.4

    Thanks

Hi guys, what would be my best move here? I have 1FT and 0.6m in the bank, not averse to taking a -4 if it enables me another double game-weeker. Any help appreciated!

    Pickford
    Gabriel - Gusto - RAN
    Diaz - Salah - Saka - Palmer
    Solanke - Haaland - Isak

    Neto - Zabarnyi - Bailey - Porro

    Currently on:

    Henderson
    Gabriel / Zabarnyi / Branthwaite
    Saka / Palmer / Salah / Havertz
    Darwin / Haaland / Solanke

    Areola* / Foden / Gusto / Udogie

1FT and WC next week, any suggestions?
