Hi guys should I bench boost now or wait till DGW 37 & make changes?

Injury doubts for Ait Nouri & Branthwaite is making me think BB in 37,

    Should I bench Garnacho?
Need to sell Bradley or should I save my transfer? Thanks

Going to be great next year when there's fewer DGWs and chip strategy becomes less of a fundamental part of the game.

I've had a red arrow in every DGW for the last 4 seasons with careful planning and using chips, so bring it on I say

Aye. No English teams in the Club Word Cup or European Super Cup next season so beyond global pandemics, expired heads or state and other left-field reasons I don't think we'll get many at all? Probably just due to the League Cup final.

    3. There may well be free midweeks after both the League Cup final and FA Cup semis, so it is possible the only DGW is GW36, and the only blank week is for the FA Cup finalists in GW37 (with those games (2 at most) moving to GW36).

Couldn't agree more. Every article seems to start "For those of you still holding your triple captain, Free Hit and Wildcard, this is how we'd approach the last few weeks....."

Can't any just say "There's roughly 5 games left - these are your best choices" 🙂

Not at all, but he's still massively clear in the captain poll. Massive avoid for me that. My advice would defo be don't bring on any Liv players and don't captain the ones you have. Except maybe Diaz if you have no one better.

Also zero chance we keep a CS in either game. Honestly think binning off altogether is the differential play if you're on FH.

        1. Tonyawesome69

I think this is where we take fans opinions with a pinch of salt.

For example bookies odds have Liverpool highest for projected goals (4.65) and 2nd highest for 1+ CS (55%) over the double.

Trouble is that you have to take bookies odds with a pinch of salt too. They're not trying to give accurate forecasts, but ones that offer relatively attractive odds whilst reducing their own risk profile. By that, I mean that odds can be short on projected liverpool goals for example, not because of it actually happening, but because of the weight of bets on it happening....

A Jackson yellow vs Villa and I think he misses Spurs (not 100% on that one, not clear from the last "Suspension Tightrope" article update. But I think B and a better pick for 36 and beyond as well. Wilson is the only issue and whether he impacts minutes.

Saka and Salah on FH feels like too much. I think I will comfortably swerve Saka (1 return in last 5 and looks leggy) and go for Havertz (and Ode if I decide on Arsenal double up).

Liverpool is harder. Salah is an obvious choice and you'd expect he starts both. But, penalty at Man U aside, he's looked off the pace and a shadow of his former self. Is it mad to go for Diaz instead?

    1. luk46
      • 7 Years

same boat, happy to go without both but especially hard with salah as the other options aren’t great either and more rotation risks + he might be quiet but get a pen

My personal view is that it's too much to go without the secure starters (and penalty takers).

I get that if you want to make up lost ground you have to pick differently, but in my view these players should be in on a FH:

Salah, Saka, Eze & Solanke. Simply due to penalties. I get that Olise might step up and take one, but on the other hand he might have reduced minutes.

the last 7/11 spots is where to pick different to everyone else (and to those not on FH like myself).

I'll field the likes of Watkins, Haaland, Palmer, White, Zabarnyi, Neto, Munoz with Taylor and Gusto on the bench.

Surely the FH'ers could pick 7 stronger starters this GW
