Who would you bench in gw1: Nkunku or Muniz?

If Palmer doesn’t start then Nkunku will be on penalties. So Nkunku.

Playing around with no Salah, doubt I will in the end but how does this look...

    Alisson (4.0)

    TAA Munoz Mykolenko Murillo H-Bellis

    Son Fernandes Eze MGW Rogers

    Haaland Isak Muniz

No way, as long as Palmer is converting them he's the first choice.

Foden will be eased back in after the Euro’s. Son could be a good place holder until gw3. However I prefer Palmer coming in for Som in gw3. You could downgrade to make this happen. Diaz isn’t nailed.

      1. Bushwhacker
        • 6 Years
        1 year, 6 months ago

Speculation that. Diaz is really the only pure left side choice. Gakpo and Jota CAN play there but not naturally.

        1. Jarnathan
          • 9 Years
          1 year, 6 months ago

So I read an article specifically on Gakpo and his natural side is on the left. That's where he was played during the Euros and that's where he's likely to play under the new Dutch coach.

Not a Liverpool expert, but that's my take.

          1. Bushwhacker
            • 6 Years
            1 year, 6 months ago

Gakpo for me always operates better centrally behind a striker. Klopp used him on the left sparingly. Diaz may still go to.Spain mind but I can’t see anyone with Coutinho money to make it happen. He’s very hard to bench.

            1. Jarnathan
              • 9 Years

              I found it for you.

“I was a left winger before, so that’s always been my preference,” said Gakpo.

“But, yeah, I think in the last one-and-a-half years, the coach needed me to play somewhere else and that’s what I tried to do at my best.”

“Cody had a bit of a struggle. It was more my fault,” Klopp admitted at the time. “We spoke about whether Cody can play a midfield position for us. Yes he can in different moments. Is it his position? I would say no.

I am pretty set on most of my Haaland and Salah draft at the moment. But I am trying to decide between the below options:

    A. Raya + 4.0 & Winks / 4.5m
    B. Flekken + Henderson & Rogers / 5.0m

I am leaning towards A but I like the idea of rotating keepers as I am going to try to roll transfers if possible. When I strip out the noise in rate my team there is only like 2 points difference over the first 6 game weeks.

For reference the rest of my team:

    TBC TBC
    Gvardiol Munoz Konsa Castagne Barco
    Salah Eze Nkunku Johnson TBC
    Isak Haaland Muniz

Forest's new 6'8" keeper. I've got him as my starting GK but he could be Sels or whoever the starting keeper ends up being. I'll be partnering him with whoever the Palace keeper is. They're all 4.5m so it doesn't matter if we don't know their identities at this point in time.

Lots of people plan for early Wild Card, so 2 away games and Arsenal at home for Watkins is hardly good fixtures but i would assume the plan is to get him afterwards.

Best 5.5 def is the guy you already have (I also have in my team)
There isn't a lot to choose from in that price bracket; a bunch of City defenders who aren't nailed, Timber who isn't nailed and Schar.
I had Schar in my team for a while last season and he did well for me, but at the moment Newcastle defence seems to be TBA.

TBA also applies to the starting keeper at Forest.

Turner's gotta be down to 5th choice. Forest are repeating their folly of scooping up dozens of mediocre new players.

How much would you say every million is worth in points? I’m just trying to figure out how many points a player needs to score for just break even on his current price.

I think it would be about 20 points per million. So, Haaland needs to score 300+ points over the season to justify his inclusion in the team. Given, he is very likely to smash 200 points and most times he will be captain, his price should be justifiable.

    Any thoughts?

My thought is points and price do not have a linear relationship and our beautiful game about the beautiful game is too complex to try and reduce to that single metric

      1. Thanos
        • 4 Years
        1 year, 6 months ago

I understand. But still if you’d had to put point per million, how much would you say each million is worth?

        1. GUNNERINHO
          • 12 Years
          1 year, 6 months ago

Last season Haaland had a pts per start of 7.3, so over 38 games a potential score would be 277 pts. Dividing the 277 pts by cost 15.0 mil = 18.4 pts per mil.

Compare Watkins with 6.2 pps and potential season score of 235 pts. Divide by cost 9.0 mil = 26.1 ppm.
Compare Isak with 6.1 pps and potential season score of 231 pts. Divide by cost 8.5 mil = 27.1 ppm.

Clearly Haaland is over priced compared with value elsewhere. I think this is to prevent 100% ownership.
To justify Haaland selection you will need to captain him every game to double his 18.4 ppm to 36.8 ppm.

Essentially stuck between the two drafts here.... Do you prefer A or B?

    Draft A:

    4.5 GK
    Saliba Gvardiol Burn
    Salah Saka Nkunku Son
    Watkins Isak Wood

GW2 or 3 Son to Foden for city cover...

    Draft B:

    4.5 GK
    Gvardio Burn Mykolenko
    Salah Saka Nkunku CHO/Rogers
    Haaland Isak Muniz
