    Midfield too weak?

    Pope
    Saliba, Gvardiol, Quansah
    Jota, Salah, ESR, Minteh
    Haarland, Isak, Solanke

Nope looks fine to me. If you want Salah I think the value in 5.5m mids is a great place to balance it & I like both your picks there

Agreed - Minteh has looked excellent in pre-season and, as a Brighton fan, very excited to see him. Early fixtures are possibly tough but I'll be keeping an eye on him.

Currently have MGW and ESR and lots of options to shift to.

Personally there’s so many viable 4.5m defenders that I think you could justify only having one premium defender. Same with the keepers… that 1 mil gets you Nkunku or Kulu instead of Minteh, then it’s all of a sudden looking a lot tastier in that midfield.

I like it, but would 100% go Saka and Solanke over Son and Havertz. Plus you’ve got another .5 there which could get you Rogers or someone as the 5th rotational midfielder 😉

Hm, not bad shout. Not keen on 5th rotating mid but it can be used for rotating gks. Any reason why Solanke and Saka is better pair? Seems coin toss to me

I just think that even tho Havertz got a good amount of points last year, Arteta sometimes likes to play him in the midfield. He’s also been singing Jesus’ praises in pre season which would worry me. Saka and Son are both v reliable so that’s a toss of the coin, but I think Solanke is a better pick at .5 less, as he’ll be the focal point of their attack and will always score goals.

    Areola/ Henderson

      Not bad at all.

I’d steer well clear of the Chelsea defence for now so would get rid of Colwill.

Foden is a great pick but has only just returned from a summer break so might not get many mins for the first few weeks.

Doesn’t seem to be much info out there so I assume he’s just been given an extended rest.

My gut says he’ll walk straight into the first 11 for gw1 but can’t say for certain so Havertz could be the safer pick to start the season.

    DONE.

    Hendo.
    Trent. Porro. Barco.
    Salah. Garnacho. ESR. Eze.
    Isak. Haaland. Solanke.

I could have gone 3. 5. 2. with Darwin over Jota. Just hate the look of 3.5.2.

    Ideas?

So much for no more tinkering. i've lasted about 2hrs.

    A) 343: Solanke + Sangare (latter as 4.5m bencher, but having to play one of him or Rogers most weeks)

    B) 352: Gordon + Jebbison (latter as 4.5m bencher, but having to play one of him or Rogers most weeks)

    Other relevant info:
    i) Have Isak, so Gordon = dbl Newc
ii) Porro only other Spurs player i have

Who are your top three 4.5 defenders not named Van de Ven or Antonee Robinson? Sitting on Andersen right now but a move to Fulham makes him a bit less appealing to me.

For me Hall looks like he will be first choice and fantastic value
Leif Davis will be in everyone's teams by gw 4 or so when people see how attacking he is even with 0 cs
Everyone has forgotten about brentford.. imo they seriously under performed due to insane defensive injuries last year. Expecting a solid defensive season from their 4.5ers
Mykolenko should be 5 million considering he is nailed on at everton.

If Ipswich get hit for 4 or 5 by Liverpool and City in back to back games I can assure you Leif Davis will not be in anyone's plans. The bonus changes will only harm him further in that regard too. Alfie Doughty registered 10 attacking returns I think last season and he still barely broke 100 points and that was before the changes came in, not sure how many bonus he got but he'd probably have lost most of them this season. I think people sometimes forget when they see these attacking assets in promoted teams that they are going from a team winning most of the games and dominating the play to a team that will be up against it for most of the season.

I'm starting the season with Eze and Son and will give Palmer time to put the City game in his rearview. Spurs first two games are friendly enough that Son is a good option for the first couple weeks.

Also starting with Isak while keeping an eye on Solanke, so that's another way to get the marginal 0.5.

Just doesn't make a ton of sense to me to start the season with Palmer while there's ways to park the money somewhere that gives you good return for the first 2-4 game weeks.

So many people planning early Wildcards on here. GW 4 or 6 seem popular.

Looking a little longer term, I feel GW 12 could be a stronger bet. Positive fixture swings at that point for Arsenal, Villa, Brighton, and Chelsea. Negative fixture swing for Everton (GW 13-18 thinking of defensive assets that most seem to have), Palace (Eze + defense in most drafts), and Man City.

Could see GW’s 12-17 as an opportunity to build a WC without Haaland and look to get him back for GW 18 where he has a string of 5 fixtures where the armband could sit on him.

Obviously that’s thinking very far ahead, but the advantage of holding the wildcard is that you get to see a substantially larger sample size of games for the season to make decisions on when overhauling your team.

I think I’m gonna build my GW 1 squad with the view to a WC12.

    Thoughts?

5 transfer is all you need to shape your team on multiple occasions - got to attack the start

There will be many worse BBs than that this season, but may be outweighed by Salah and Haaland hauling in GWs 1-2.
