Most of us get the GW1 draft completely wrong mate, I wouldn't worry too much.

Virtually no further info to be gained since the weekend so just lock in whatever you had then. Any tinkering right before deadline is unlikely to be helpful imo. Have fun & remember it's no big deal to play the 1st WC early if you get things wrong

Iv squeezed Raya in by downgrading Robinson to 4.0

    Raya
    Munoz/Porro/Gvardiol (Bellis/Barco)

Could lose Porro for Saliba etc but have a soft spot for Porro!

Not keen on Martinez (Utd defence awful last season) or Quansah (rotation risk?)

appreciate it, I don't agree RE United.. if I was picking a 6.0 Def then yes but I am picking a 4.5..

Quansah = big risk, but could be a way into LIV def

        • Fantasy Football Scout Member
        • 17 Years

4ATB is not a long term strategy, it’s to maximise the first 3 weeks (this actually scores the highest on the FFS app)

It’s basically Trent over another attacker who would be ESR or Eze, who scores more? Flexibility is not a factor, that comes with the wildcard.

I've took the advice and now I'm on this draft, with my thoughts. How do you guys rate this?

Henderson (Matthews) --> Solid 4.5, with Sam Johnstone potentially on his way out is Matthews a solid, cheap and low owned back up

Gvardiol - Porro - Quansah (Robinson, Barco) --> Gvardiol high owned, Porro high attacking ceiling, Quansah cheap and great fixtures, Robinson great fixtures after GW 1 and very attacking and gives me an extra option if Quansah gets benched, Barco for now best 4M enabler)

Saka - Jota - Eze - Nkunku - Murphy (Saka wins it over Palmer and Son for me, Jota great and cheaper Salah alternative who plays CF, Eze is just electric and the new BPS should give him some more bonus points, Nkunku is my Palmer alternative and has great fixtures after GW 1, Murphy for GW 1 and maybe 2 after that I will bench him for Muniz or transfer him out

Haaland - Isak - Muniz (I just need Haaland, Isak is essential, Muniz great fixtures and Fulham looked good pre-season)

Very close.. I think Elanga is safer for minutes then CHO and MGW is more expensive. I would go B

Premium defender i.e. TAA causing the most headache.

    A. Pedro + TAA + 4.0m def
    B. Solanke + Quansah + Robinson

    Other defenders:
    Gabriel, Munoz and Barco

A suits your team, can rotate Pedro and ESR

I've gone B, but A is viable and could definitely work, I just don't feel comfortable with anyone at 5.5m or less in my forward on midfield lines.

Fair enough, Pedro and ESR rotation is nice, may not get consistent returns but that's why they are 5.5m

      It's a good quandary.

      I prefer B.

I've got A so hopefully it's the better bet.

Haaland or not? Thats my biggest concern, the team looks so much better without him!

No Haaland for me all last season. Squad looked great but no Haaland killed me. The weeks he doesn’t smash it you gain a little ground but the weeks he does your rank gets battered especially the fact his (p)oints are doubled.

Eze or Nkunku to start with?

      Eze

I have ditched Nkunku, Chelsea are all over the place and I think it’s better to wait and see how they start the season. Don’t see the need to have him from the off.

Eze and see who stands out at 6.5m after a few weeks

I'm starting with Eze. Chelsea linked to Osimhen. Got Neto and already have Palmer. KDH, Sterling, Jackson etc. there to cause rotation. With his long injury and the midweek qualification matches being early for Chelsea plus City GW1 makes me not wanna have Nkunku right now.

Paqueta is only 6.0, just noticed this. Anyone tempted by him or is Kudus a better pick?

Is Paqueta available for the start of the season following his ban?

Muniz plays in a better attacking team but second season syndrome may knock at his door.

Think I'm all set. Still a little bit unsure on triple LIV but they are easy to downgrade if things go wrong.

    Henderson
    TAA N.Williams Myko
    Salah(c) Jota Eze Rogers
    Haaland Isak Wood

    Virginia ESR Barco Robinson

Salah and Jota could work out very well.

Why Williams over Aina? Trying to decide if I want Konsa/Pau or a Forest 4.5.

I did not dig deep on that and just pick the one playing on his strong foot side. LOL.
Would go straight to Sels and get a 4.5 from another team if he is confirmed to be nailed. (but unlikely)
