Morning all. Thoughts on 2nd stab at it:

    Raya
    Porro - Gvardiol - Quansah
    ESR - Jota - Saka - Eze
    Haaland - Isak(C) - Watkins

    (Turner) - Rogers - Hall - Barco

Is Jota a sufficient replacement for Salah or people are convincing themselves of this to compensate for not owning the latter?

Been good in pre season and does well when fit. If it allows haaland and saka for instance I think it's worth the risk.

I own Salah, Haaland and Havertz so I don’t mind going without Saka but I see why people are doing it. I believe Havertz can keep pace with Saka returns in the short to medium term. I do think that Salah is a more dangerous pick to avoid similar to Haaland.

I'm under no illusions that Jota can replace Salah, but regardless I've got Jota because he's up front against Ipswich and when fit he's a fantastic fantasy asset.

Don't think it's a replacement, good pick in isolation and good value. I would consider them separately and not think of coverage of a Liverpool attacker. Could end up with both or neither

You know Salah will play 90 mins every game. Jota could be explosive but will get short minutes and at some point fail to start as Darwin gets the nod. It's a matter of how short is short term.

    Best 5.5 mid?

    A. ESR
    B. Minteh
    C. Hudson-Odoi

I don’t like Minteh’s fixtures, and ESR is injury prone plus not played regularly for a long time… Could C be the one? Great three opening fixtures…and should be nailed despite the latest pre-season game?

Happy first FPL deadline day all.

Am I G2G? Plan is to do Quansah > Myko (or another 4.5) if he loses his place. Slightly uneasy about double Palace defence but Munoz seems to be a popular pick.

    Henderson
    Gabriel - Quansah - Munoz

I’m on Son because I think the fixtures are just much better.

Could still be tempted by Saka, but those games aren’t easy.

Don't get me wrong Son is great. I just think Arsenal are a better team than Spurs who started well last season but then fell off a cliff. Arsenal are all round quality and consistent.
