A bit stuck with my team after a great first GW and an average second GW... have some players going down/benched.

So this is how it looks now... (I did Murphy > ESR just before they both changed in price but missed out on Nkunku's drop)

    Henderson
    TAA Gabriel Hall
    Salah Jota Nkunku ESR
    Haaland (C) Isak Wood

    Valdimarsson Winks THB Barco

    1 FT
    0 ITB

Nkunku to Rogers before the price rise or leave it?

    Thanks!

Barco Hall Nkunku all problems there
I can’t see Chelsea changing the team much for next game, maybe drop Mydryk but could be for Neto
Long term Nkunku is not a keeper with that rotation risk.
Rogers would be a fair shout

I was initially planning on banking transfers until GW4 and WC during international break... might still do it but without the banking the transfers part

I'd be tempted to ditch Hall first, watched the game against Southampton and he was gash. Always a chance Nkunku comes on and scores

Would it be possible for someone in Scout to check the Season Ticker?

The Fantasy Football Scout is showing Chelsea and Aston Villa as one of the best (if not the best) next 5 fixtures but in your table has Aston Villa in 9th and Chelsea a lowly 14th?

don't be blinded by the prices.

You have to ask yourself if they are important to their team, which at the moment I would say yes they are and therefore you'd expect them to start and be involved in their teams deliver points.

I dont think we should consider this comparison becos its 2 players vs 1. N 2 mil buys nothing let alone a starting position defender. Plus im assuming u r not going to cap either players whereas salah is a captain worthy choice

fully depends on Liverpool's continued ability to keep clean sheets. early signs are good with more controlled approach.

so far he doesn't seem to be playing on any sort of a leash, but the fixtures have been kind so United away is a good test to see how involved he can be up the pitch in a tough fixture

if TAA can manage 5ppg this season he's value for money and then some

if Konsa is in a defensive rotation with other 4.5 to get that positions ppg up, argument can be made for K+W but I prefer TAA and Muniz longer term.

In a move I am now regretting, I decided now was a good time to wildcard Haaland out, and have ended up with this (hoping that Foden will be fine for GW3).

    Flekken | Henderson
    Trent | Gabriel | Robinson | Konsa | Faes
    Salah | Saka | Foden | Jota | Smith-Rowe
    Isak | Wissa | Pedro

Wissa and Pedro rotate really nicely, and this does get me Trent and Salah, plus getting rid of Quansah and Barco and a better gk rotation than I had before, so it’s by no means a disaster, but I am having second thoughts about it now. Any suggestions?

    1. Catastrophe
      • 15 Years

Why don't you WC Haaland back in? I'd suggest having Jota and TAA is a little overkill. I'm considering Raya to save some $ on Saliba/Gabriel (accepting they do have goal threat!)

don't let that be the barrier to Haaland if you feel you need/want him. I get the frustration at having to pay .1, but kick in that logical side; it's only .1

Most people set up for 2/3 weeks, I’ve made a fast start and I won’t lie, I’m playing with what I can do.

All this ‘we don’t have enough info yet’ doesn’t really have weight, unless you’re clueless about football, you know what players are good and who’s not.

You don’t need 6 weeks of data to tell you that Haaland, Salah, Trent, Saka etc are good players in good teams.

There were a lot of players you couldn’t have started with because they were late back to their clubs, that’s why a lot of people set up for 2/3 weeks.

    3. The Train Driver

Also international break and CL coming that can result in injuries and benchings. Most of the people wildcarding have decent or even good teams already.

Let’s be honest, those who are wildcarding are those who followed the YouTube template, players like Quansah, Barco, Bruno, Nkunku, Munoz, Isak, Muniz, Eze, all started slowly, if I had their team, my button would also be pushed.

Thankfully I’m delighted with my team BUT I won’t wait for a bad week before doing it myself, quite the opposite.

The WC is not as valuable as it used to be now, that’s the reality of the game.

Same, I’m 27k (I know it don’t mean much right now) and I’m looking at it, I’m more concerned about the best path to navigate than waiting until I have a bad week.

Waiting for GW4 gives me a lovely path but I’m still looking at it for GW3.

I’ve got 2FT banked also so wildcarding will allow me to get to 4, then the game really will begin.

He won't be 11m mainly because he's not easy to get to without ditching other performing premium assets and wildcard transfers don't count towards price changes.

Worth holding on another week before activating the WC? Any moves worthwhile this week or good to hold? 2FT, £0m

    Areola, 4.0
    TAA, Saliba, Gvardiol, Harwood, Johnson
    Saka, Gordon, Eze, KDB, Jota
    Watkins, Isak, Armstrong

Not sure I’d go without both Salah or Haaland (though that said it could work out). However it looks like that is easily remedied with a -4 this week or done across 2 GWs for no hit.

      Not worth WC

    A Robinson & Andersen - IPS(a)
    B Robinson IPS(a) & VDV NEW(a)

Why would you even consider benching A?
Don't see clean sheets for any of them. I'd probably bench C on the basis he has less attacking potential than the rest.

Very likely to. But if you plan to give Solanke a few games to see if he’s worth keeping, how would that impact your transfer plans?

I pulled the trigger on J Murphy > ESR the other day to avoid the price fall/rise, but I still have Bruno (-0.1) and Solanke (likely to drop overnight).

Either worth a hit to take out?

Toying with WC. Am I playing with fire with this bench?

Poor backup if Lewis misses out.

Gordon to Mbeumo (assuming Toney leaves) and use 0.5m in def

      1. boombaba
        • 13 Years

5m defenders no better than 4.5m imo

        1. Tonyawesome69

Never said look at 5.0m defenders.

Upgrade one of 4.0m def to nailed 4.5m for 3rd def rotation would be my preference.

          1. boombaba
            • 13 Years

True but Faes and other 4.0m defenders look as good as most 4.5m so depends if want the extra 0.5m to add flexibility down the line.
            Food for thought

Don't agree with the defenders from promoted teams are as good as say Konsa/Dunk/Milenkovic/Moreno etc.

General idea of 0.5 ITB is fine.

Yes I see what your saying but Faes and Bjohnson have a goal and assist already at 4.0m
                Good value
Although I heard Faes maybe looking for a transfer

Generally will get 1-2 pointers throughout the season.

Like I said back the defenders with better defences and right fixture rotation would be my preference.

I may have an extra 0.5 spare, although not sure which other 4.5 defs I like the look of at the mo.

If I was on your shoes I’d have BJohnson
Right wing back and good fixtures
I reckon he will be nailed.

    Flekken Havertz Faes Johnson

Yeah I don’t think Saka AND Havertz are needed.

Also not sold on Jota getting hooked after 70 mins or so every game either, prefer Diaz in that regard.

Dropped Flekken for Fabianski, Lewis for Ben white and Havertz for Welbeck. Don’t fancy Welbeck to do much this weekend but he’s in good form otherwise
