I know this will sound mad, but Leif and Greaves all day

Greaves for set and forget 4

Leif for what he may become

I’m just worried about being priced out for Konsa going up to 4.6 in GW4

        1. Ser Davos

that's reasonable. I just had a look at Villa's fixture again beyond the next 4.

The home games are actually really decent, but the aways are a nightmare so depends if he can be rotated.

Perhaps I'm getting a bit carried away with Leif and Konsa and Greaves are safe, secure 35 game plus.

Konsa is close for me, maybe Nedel.

My main doubt is that Villa finished fourth last year and Konsa didn't manage to hit 100 points. I know that's a gross over simplification, but not sure it bodes that well. On the flip side, maybe they recognise it and with Onana actually flip the narrative on its head

I'm going leif and greaves too. Greaves perma last sub and leif starting most of the next 8 games. People are underestimating ipswich imo. They will surprise many over the next 8 gameweeks

interesting. It's only recently I've come to that way of thinking

I just look at Lewis and Leif (plus Robinson) and think these are quirky, interesting picks and low risk for the price.

Greaves is the plod pick at only 4.

Konsa's the token hope for a 6 and I'm not sure Villa have shown anything to suggest the cleanies will be there all that much. It's only really his nailedness and fix that bode well for him. But perhaps with Onana/Martinez they can find some defensive resolve

            * Konsa feels a bit of a token gesture tbh

If Konsa doesnt keep atleast 2 Cs in the next 4 il never own him again. Fixtures couldnt be easier.. he is worth a punt. He has a bit of a goal threat too ie the usual 1 goal in 10 games time xG that CBs have. Long term he will distinctly average but thats the case with most 4.5s.

Regards Leif.. over the next 8 I can see just 3 Cs chances ie sot , eve, leicester.. Hopefully he gets 2 Cs there. And if ipswich score 8+ goals it's reasonable to expect him to get an assist or 2. So thats about 3.5/4 ppm I'm hoping for over the next 8. Nothing too crazy

              yeah, that all makes sense

Greaves is a slot I don't want to be transferring, bit like Raya and the fourth defender

Leif/Lewis and even Konsa can be shifted if needed and I'm happy to play/experiment

Whisper this.. but I wouldnt be surprised if greaves matches davis. He is a huge goal threat and om the rare occasion they get a cs he should mop the baps. Davis would have to play exceptionally well to hit double figures in assists but I can see greaves getting 3 to 4 goals(equivalent to 6 to 8 davis assists plus extra baps). If ipswich handle their defense well greaves could prove to be a bargain. He was the first name on my wc(obviously due to price too)

Lutsharel Geertruida to RB Leipzig, here we go! Flight booked and medical on Friday for the defender.

Package in excess of €25m for centre back at Feyenoord.

Geertruida was always the #1 option, there was never any chance for Antonio Silva who’s not for sale.

That makes Nedeljković a more likely starter at the weekend unless Villa sign a RB tomorrow. It won't be Konsa at RB according to manager quotes.

This would be well and good if nedeljkovic was any good.. he is an inexperienced 18 year old wjo was at fault for both goals. He will get better in time since he looks like he has potential but he is nowhere near being a regular starter. So it's a very short term option going with him

What are the cliches that are trotted out regularly on here that make you wince?! Some posters think they apply to every situation and will happily throw them in as responses without knowing the OPs team, strategy or circumstances!

    I’ll get the ball rolling:
You should always play the attacker over the defender?
You should never bench a premium defender?
Form over fixtures or vice versa?
If you don’t captain X, you shouldn’t own them?
You should make early transfers early in the season to build value?
You should wait until just before the deadline to make transfers so you have as much information as possible!

Think with the fixtures and Gvardiol not playing as high up as last season I'd take Robertson over him. Are Konate and Dunk both 4.5? Miles as well downgrade one and keep for future purchases i.e. Bailey to Eze

You shouldn’t make early transfers when your player has a midweek match to play!!!!!!

Thinks theres much chance of Mateta getting a late move out of the PL? He did say he wants to play CL football, and I think we all know he is right up there with some of the best.

      Doubt it

They won’t stay up if they sell any more of their good players. Eze as good as gone in the summer

Nah, think they easily have enough talent to avoid that situation. But losing 1 or 2 of them would be a big blow. I think Kamada will turn out to be a very good signing. Playing him next week vs Leicester 🙂

I would have kept Olise, feel like he and Eze made them special. Mateta really good working the channels, but not a hold up player. Not sure how they build the attack. The “give the ball to Eze and have him dribble 3 defenders” plan isn’t working.

Zero chance of Mateta being moved,as that would leave Nketiah and Edouard.
Nketiah might be ok with regular starts and some consistent minutes. Edouard is as useful as a fart in a bottle.
I think Glasner would quit if Mateta was sold!

I am so confused. Really tempted to do Bruno to Palmer for a hit. Please convince me that this is a good move.

I don't like taking hits but I have already taken one and now thinking of taking the second one already.

Man U do have a hard fixture. But its the kind of game they will turn up in. Bruno getting a return would not surprise me. Theres probably a good chance of a pen too. So not for a hit. For free, it would be a yes.

Cheers....next week they have SOU, so I shouldn't be doing this move next week as well..... Palmer's good fixture run will almost run out if I do it in GW5

Just listening to the Green Arrow, really good listen as well

Lots of talk of banking transfers. I see the merit and it can feel a waste doing Barco to HWB etc.

However, there is so much firepower week on week and I feel we're possibly missing out on it by remaining a bit static.

The game has transformed now with 365 degrees/24/7 instant information and so it's pretty easy for nearly anyone to manage to put together a decent side.

So perhaps where we get the gains is by trying to get in the hauls of the premium mids, particularly when you factor in captaincy.

I'm not saying lacking in patience in many areas, but by hitting the upside week on week even with the odd hit could often pay dividend.

Garnacho price drop was unexpected. Potentially a very good option IMO. I don't mind picking him up for cheap at some point. Basically the only Man U player worth owning.

Mazouri could be a very decent option at 4.5m especially when Ugarte / De Ligt gets settled or Yoro back from injury

Re-posted as no replies and I'm stuck! Any thoughts much appreciated! Thanks!
I want to go Nkunku to Eze (one FT and £1.5m in the bank). Both are predicted to fall tonight. Ideally I want to hold off until tomorrow in case of injuries etc but am worried that Nkunku might fall and Eze doesn't. Should I do the transfer tonight or wait until tomorrow?! (Or get Jota instead!)
