Completely makes sense to me. He was playing in the EFL for most of his career and won't have the mind bending money that most of these Prem players have banked. Good luck to him, last chance to make that kind of money with his reputation likely at a peak.

    Any (WC) changes needed?

    Raya
    Gvardiol, VDV, Lewis
    Salah, Palmer, ESR, Rogers
    Haaland, Havertz, Pedro

    (Fabianski, Robinson, Nedeljkovic, Winks)

    - Havertz, Gvardiol (4.5M) or Saka, 4.5D (4.5F)?
    - Gvardiol or Robertson?

    Cheers.

Definitely would go Robbo over Gvardiol because you have Lewis and would be locked out of a 3rd City if say Foden decides to come back strong.

But tbh, TAA is the first name on any team I build atm. He's got the 9th highest xGI of any player in the game and hasn't even played the full game in either of the first two. Just a chance creating monster. He would be the highest scoring player in the game if he got the returns and bonus his stats say he should have.

Thanks. I just can't find a way to reasonably fit him in as I am sold on:

        - Haaland
        - Salah
        - Palmer
        - Havertz/Saka

I rate TAA also, and ironically had him pre-wildcard. Perhaps Robertson would be the best option for me.

      3. Catastrophe
        • 14 Years

I could go TAA, Soucek, Johnson over Gvardiol/Robertson, ESR, Robinson, but that means having 2 x 4.0 defenders on the bench and playing Lewis (hoping he starts) and VDV every week.

It's a pretty good team considering you still have WC in hand.

Honestly, I think you just cap Haaland when he's in this kind of form and don't overthink it. It's not like West Ham are particularly good.

Gosh that's a horrible choice to have.

You have to go with where you think the goals will/won't be scored.

For me a toss up between Eze & Isak, with the way Newcaslte have been playing. (Isak was also poor midweek.)

But it's very feasible ESR/Muniz does worse. Just not the fixture to bench them for...

      1. Deulofail

I'm leaning keeping Isak in for this GW but turning him into Watkins if still no returns and if he doesn't pass the "eye test".. Feels like a bit of a gamble whatever I choose.

WC draft - would appreciate your thoughts!

    Sanchez
    TAA Gabriel Robinson
    Salah Palmer Eze ESR Rogers
    Haaland Pedro
    4.0 Lewis Nedeljkovic 4.5fwd

Felt I was happy to take a risk on Lewis for now. Plus I will be coming out of the WC with 2 FTs so able to change any obvious errors, with the aim of saving at least 3 up for a mini wildcard to get Arsenal players in for the GW6 fixture swing
