    Haaland out of the picks?
    What a joke
He needs 2 shots to score 2 goals in this form and he will get them

Maybe. But that team has Trent, Palmer, Son, Salah and Watkins. Can't have that with Haaland, and this team could quite easily outscore one with a 2-goal Haaland and a few cheaper picks. It's not just about what Haaland does.

Good morning. Thoughts on these transfers?

Wissa > DCL and stick to that price range (Vardy/Nketiah/Duran) to play alongside Haaland and Havertz?

Or Wissa > Watkins + Palmer > Mbeumo for free?

Does Wissa out affect Mbeumo or he is still a solid pick?

Is selling Palmer a big mistake?

I think Schade(5.5 mid) starts in place of Wissa. They will need a few gws to find chemistry with Mbeumo but I’m confident it won’t affect him that much as Frank is a good manager. I think Watkins Mbeumo is a very good duo and I’d sell Palmer without second thoughts. He isn’t worth his price tag

Cheers both, yeah I think Palmer’s price tag is a bit unjustified this season plus Chelsea look to have more players who can get amongst the points now in Sancho, Nkunku, Neto, Felix.

Gaining Mbeumo + Watkins does seem like strong moves to make.

You have to look at the bigger picture. Ideally I would keep him but with Haaland and Salah in my team already, having another player for 10+ prevents me strengthening the rest of my team.

I'm getting Amad this week as part of a 3 week free transfer plan to obtain Haaland, I'm convinced of his significant mins and double figure G+A potential. Palace defence isn't any good yet so no reason to wait, other than Barnsley game tonight.

I'm on B. Guess their defence is more fixture proof. Saka is mister consistent. Havertz is great, but more difficult to predict when he gets points and if he keeps playing up front.

Maybe C) 1 defender and 1 attacker. After 8 fixtures aren't that great.

Yeah diaz could be an option but need a strong C option this week and I feel if I dont have salah, watkins is the next best thing. Not to fuzzed about defense yet, pope>raya could be on the cards though. Think I prefer Bowen and mbuemo in for KDB over diaz but will se minutes tonight in CL.

You are right, KDB looked great and we all know what he can do on a perfect day.

However, when you look at the heat maps he is a bit more defensive than last season. This might be linked to Gündogan back in the team. And it could change again when Foden is back in.

KDB can still haul thanks to his involvement in set pieces and his TAA like passing skills, but with Pep's rotation risk, I would rather move him on.

I can't believe people are selling Palmer.

He is probably the only premium midfielder without rotation risk due to his resting in midweek games. Maybe even save for 90 minutes over the Xmas crunch time.

Fixtures don't look too tough as well. But he can deliver anytime anyway as he is on set pieces. His slow start to the season was a Euro related fatigue like for Watkins.

For me the only must-have besides Haaland.

Chelsea arent exactly reliable though and fixture wise saka has better fixtures coming up for 0.5 cheaper. Haaland pretty much perma captain except this week where salah is the stand out option.

am i missing something? why does the scout picks have vardy AND keane this week

    1. Sheffield Wednesday
      • 5 Years
      1 year, 6 months ago

Keane is always a potential goalscorer - at both ends. Also 4M enabler and has played every minute so ideal bench fodder.

I remember when Everton were having injury problems in a previous season and I suggested on here that Dyche play Keane as a forward - and the following weekend he did. Leicester not the best defensively so anything is possible.

      1. Tazah
        • 8 Years
        1 year, 6 months ago

yh but its the scout picks - they dont need bench fodder

Either way everton might play Branthwaite instead of Keane

        1. Sheffield Wednesday
          • 5 Years
          1 year, 6 months ago

And it doesn't matter because Davis is the first bench defender in this hypothetical team. Expectations from 4M 5th defender are always low- plus it's a 'bus' selection , not a final selection.so not worth the energy discussing it really.

            • 8 Years

let me explain using the ARS CITY game this week
I would either start Saliba OR Haaland based on what i think the score will be, not both - because i am trying to maximise my points (essentially the point of the scout picks)

The subs don't actually play, even if one of the first 11 misses out - e.g. if you're picking the community team to take on the scout picks there are no subs. So there's no conflict & it's irrelevant except to indicate some budget recommendations

            • 8 Years

yes but my point is, are they thinking that Leicester wont score by picking him, then why pick vardy as a leicester attacker - makes no sense

You probably need a new defence. Otherwise okay.

Spurs are dreadful and Son too wide, I’d prefer Saka even against City

I like the combination of Porro and Solanke which might work out quite well in a few weeks.

      Otherwise:
      Palmer - tick
      Haaland - tick
      DCL - nice
      Smooth operator - gamble
      No Liverpool - risky

I'd Rather Palmer and Saka for their juicy home games as apposed to Liverpools away games, so probably won't hurt

The other thing is, I personally would prefer Watkins over Solanke. But it is close and might change again over the next couple of weeks. But right now, I don't find Solanke as impressive as Watkins.

Long term Joao Pedro replacement after this week? I'm expecting him to be fit.

    a) Nketiah

straight into 90 mins and promising stats, Palace are a decent mid table club, is Mateta just the 'big dog' now though?

    b) DCL

Decent form, wasn't as injured as you might think last year, Everton's form can only go one way. out of contract good motivation for his professional career. Has previously been a more expensive striker, still only 27.

    c) Duran

Bit of an xMins risk but is extremely talented for a top 8 team. Is it impossible that Emery changes his system to accommodate? Would expect he starts tonight against Young Boys with Watkins still carrying niggles.

I'm leaning towards DCL. If Isak's eye injury turns out to be serious I'll probably move early for a -4. Everton vs Southampton in the cup tonight, will be info to be garnered.

Agreed. He can score in any game and seems trusted with 90 mins or close to it if fit. Maybe just get an 8th attacker to rotate of really wanted.

I might be moving to a rotation of Rogers, semenyo, Pedro next week myself

slightly questionable how spurs assets are a still in vogue on here. porro I understand for potential attacking returns but 4 clean sheets in 44 games?, and where they have taken 32 points... angle clearly still huffing fumes of his first ten game

It's a good point. If there form doesn't improve I'll be looking to do something with Porro.

I think it's Anges "charming" accent that keeps on tricking people into believing that he can actually set up a team properly to defend(or attack for that matter, they have been poor going forward lately as well).

Gotcha. I'm not a big fan of WC + planned transfers. There's a lot of football to be played between now and GW6 mate.

I agree. I think it`s smart to downgrade TAA to VVD and put Raya in goal now.
Then use 1FT to get Arsenal attack for GW6

Started off this season well and it's been down hill ever since. I don't have Haaland and my new team (on wildcard) still does not have him.
I just don't see how I can share points and make my team better. However, the Captain situation becomes more complicated.
I've tried the no bench, one keeper option to start and it's been a problem for me.
I going back to more familiar ground with a decant bench and two keeper option.

    Currently
    Raya/Sanchez
    Dunk/Greaves/TAA/Poro/Mazraoui
    Saka/Semenyo/ McNeil/Bowen/Salah
    Havertz/Watkins/DCL

    Bank 0.4

I like it. Went Raya only to cover the lack of Arsenal defenders. I have so many options since I am using wildcard but my overall goal is to remain on a high average return each week going forward. I have a decent 3 captain option in Saka/Salah/Watkins but that usually spells problems for me.

    Tough tough decisions

Are we sleeping on Tavernier from Bournemouth. Stats look fantastic and seems better on bonus than Semenyo. Albeit, Semenyo has a better past history of scoring points

      I like both players.
Semenyo looks to have matured so much this season so far and looks very dangerous.

I just hope he can keep it up.

Scout selections are created for only 1 week, but it is not possible to change the squad every week in Fantasy Premier League, so I would be happy if you answer what is the exact logic of this squad.?
