Difficult one. Imo with a Lei def you're relying on attacking returns. Have Mutd turned a corner?

There will be goals at both end I reckon.

Evening all. I've noted a few posts concerning Isak's fitness.

The site below has him passed as fit - 100%. I haven't see other news to qualify or dispute.

Asked how the Sweden international was, Howe replied: “Good question, I’ll find out more today. It was a strange one with his eye. The ball just grazed his eye and that was the main reason for him coming off the pitch. Then he had a knock to his foot as well, so he’s got a combination of the two. We’ll make a decision today.”

This I saw. This made me think he had a 50-75% chance of playing.

I haven't seen anything to confirm or dispute the alleged 100% fitness posted by the site mentioned.

Have the worst team in the game and definitely wildcarding next GW, so is this worth a 1-week punt:

    Henderson
Saliba - Porro - Ruben Dias

Speculative. This game is about seeking out risks/opportunities that may pay off.

I'm keeping, but this week against Arsenal, is a good time for a punt, for those with more appetite for risk.

            You're welcome 🙂

My point is that I am of the mindset of not keeping any particular premium(s) for the entire season. I think this will be a season for inter-changing between premiums, based on form of course.

I think TV will be important this season to follow this strategy.

Regarding players unhappy with the amount of games they have to play. Have you heard any examples of what they suggest? Scrapping FA Cup/League cup/World Cup competitions, reducing number of teams in PL or CL?

      • 8 Years

Assume most fans would say league cup and reduce IBs/the nations league nonsense. But I haven't looked into proposals either

    2. Qaiss
      • 10 Years
      1 year, 6 months ago

No because that would involve them losing some of their wage and they wouldn’t agree to that. They aren’t smart enough to think about that part

Only thing that should be scrapped is the nations league as no-one cares about it. CL format should also go back to group stages

I know they're elite sportsmen but playing football 2 or 3 times a week for the money they earn - I just don't get it. What's the problem?
Also is there anyone on here who wouldn't want to reduce their hours they work and yet still get paid the same?
      Maybe we should all strike!

Imagine the average fan's reaction who pays all that money to watch their beloved team through thick and thin when they get told games are called off because a Brazilian on £200k a week doesn't want to play a game of football every 3 or 4 days. There would be riots. Yes, there does need to be some middle ground found, but striking is never going to work.

There isn’t a problem, they’ll retire by 35-40 and can be on a yacht in the Mediterranean if they so please

It’s a 25 man squad, they can use it but they choose not to

    4. ᶠᶦˡᵗʰʸLucre $$$
      • 11 Years

Scrapping competitions isn't as easy as it sounds - there are sponsorship deals, TV contracts, ongoing revenue distribution, historic agreements (e.g the Football League only allowed the Premier League to start in 1992 if Premier League teams continued to play in the League Cup), bonuses based on performance in players/managers/staff contracts, etc etc.

As a Isak and Pedro owner, I at least want to loose one. Probably WC next, so just for one week:
    A: Isak and Mykolenko->Watkins and Greaves for a -4
