Why is everyone so convinced that Salah will start? It's an easy fixture and he played 90 min in UCL it makes sense to rest him and play Chiesa

      Chiesa is ready.
      And Slot is not Klopp.

Chiesa's not fit, hasn't played any football since June. And I think you might have quite an inflated idea of him if you think he's a seamless switch for Salah. And you're seriously underrating Bournemouth

I very much doubt Slot wants to risk losing two home games in a row to bottom half opposition.

Those comments from someone who’s played FPL for at least 10 years are a little strange. Could be a troll post

Really not trolling. To me it just seems inevitable that there will he rotation eventually and Chiesa is there for a reason

Yes Chiesa is there to add depth and competition but a quick 2 mins research would have answered your question

Chiesa will surely be eased in with some sub appearances. And like someone mentioned they lost to Nottingham. Salah will rest in efl cup

There is almost no evidence to support this. Salah has pretty much always started when available throughout hid Liverpool career, his early season form would give no indication that needs to change.

And Chiesa has given no indication he’s ready to start, he was a cheap punt as a backup.

Would say that Salah is possibly the most nailed on starter of all the attackers who played CL across all PL teams - along with Haaland.

        4. Qaiss

It is trolling surely. Why would they bench their best attacker, needing to bounce back and a player who they’re trying to keep hold of who’s contract runs out next year

You think they will bench him for a cheap risk free signing that isn’t half the player Salah is? Cmon

    6. MJF
        1 year, 7 months ago

No one can say anything for certain but when Salah's been fit he's almost always started for Liverpool. That's the only historical precedence we have to go on. Anything else is just guesswork as you well know.

After losing their last PL game why on earth would Slot bench his best player?

Because he was pushing to get Chiesa signed to have options when Salah is injured, iut of form or just needs minutes being managed. He is not 25 anymore and was injured last season for the first time in recent history.

It's true, Salah was a sure starter under Klopp, but there is no guarantee that Slot will continue with this.

I agree there is a chance for rotation. And this has nothing to do with trolling.

Whilst there’s no guarantee where is the evidence that Slot plans any rotation with Salah?

Salahs form indicates he is still the best player, he’s played all but 8 mins of the PL so far whilst the other forwards have been subbed off. All the signs so far suggest this season is no different to any other season.

Latest info on Isak and Pedro is not ideal. Probably just keep and hope they both start, ESR/Robinson is decent enough to cover no show.

Likely move is Saka to Salah (c) before WC6

      Henderson
      TAA Dunk Konsa

I would just start ESR over Isak I think. Bit thin on captaincy options so Salah move makes sense even though I'm a bit skeptical about 1 week pre-WC deadending moves now

Isak either starts or not in the squad at all, I don't think it's necessary to start ESR over Isak.

Like you said, limited options on captaincy so Salah in. Feel WC6 is the right time to freshen my team and haven't rolled any transfers so far this season either

“He will train today with the team and then we have to see how it’s going – if he can train fully, if he can do all the movements. Of course, we won’t take any risks but he will be part of the training today.” – Fabian Hurzeler on Joao Pedro

      Tempted by:

      Pedro to Vardy
      Jebbison to DCL

      3 FTs

exact funds. Can afford Wood if Jota to Mbeumo is done a week early

Pedro fix is not great. I was also quite slow in noticing this 4 and 5 for LIV + BRI had NFO for each as part of the tempter

mmm I've considered this as well

However, I like what they offer structure wise and they only have to toe one in and its bonus as well

Do prefer them over their midfield counterparts, possibly Semenyo aside

          Vardy enthusiasm ?

He's delivered every season for ten years.

Yes he's 37, but at his price you can afford to have him as first sub and take a risk on someone like Foden knowing it doesn't matter of rotated.

Ah the glory years... But yes, 37, and that's the main issue. Did you follow the Championship last year, or at least look up his mins? His days of being nailed for 90mins every week are long gone. Also Leicester are a shadow of the team they used to be in terms of creating chances for him

      Isak and Jota to

      GW5
      a) Solanke for Isak
      b) Watkins for Isak

      GW6
A in GW5 means Saka for Jota
B in GW5 means keep Jota or move to max Mbuemo/Bowen price bracket.

      Areola
      Gab Rob Munoz (THB, Johnson)

I made the huge mistake of going without Haaland. I can either WC GW6, and use my transfer this GW for a one week punt, or I could save and get Haaland next week with transfers. Any suggestion would be much appreciated:

If like me, you didn't het Haaland its too late already. You need to gamble and do something different. By putting Haaland in now all you're doing is playing to not lose, rather than playing to win.

I think it’s still early enough to gamble on him blanking vs arsenal and get him on wildcard next week. Luckily other players have kept me close.

Last week was a monumental drop though - might as well gamble 1 more week and admit defeat next week

what we have to do. Joao Pedro will be fine I'm sure. He could of played the last game really. Isak I really have no clue in what will most likely be a 1-1 draw with Fulham anyway. If I knew DCL was definitely fine I'd be tempted to gamble -4 him in to save myself a transfer down the line.

Is Isak expected to train today or is it just an internal assessment by Howe? In regards to his availability from the start.

I struggle to see the point in pre-match press conferences. Unless they bring in a rule that says managers have to be totally open and honest about every player's status, they have no motivation to tell anyone the truth. The only useful thing is if someone's completely ruled out.

Never said it was. The point applies more widely, the whole thing is about trying to confuse the opposition with smoke and mirrors. Pretty sure other sports don't allow it and force them to be open about injuries.
