On form Johnson. I have Eze and he couldn’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo right now. Missed a sitter v United and again b Liverpool yesterday. I’m holding for two more gamweeks on the basis he’s Palace’s talisman where Brennan is not guaranteed to start. Leave Garnacho alone until United sort themselves out

Thoughts on Ait Nouri for wolves great run of fixtures?

He's basically a 4.4 def playing as a winger. Cs are an added bonus

Not many 4 5 defs are keeping cs's this season anyway so why not go for the attacking defs like Nouri and Leif davis

I looked very closely at him and went for Davis instead. Bad outcome yesterday but actually I wasn't too disappointed as Wolves are horrendous at the back, like one of the worst in the league bad and its a question of whether you've missed the boat on some of his attacking returns already? Another thing which put me off him is he's already on 3 yellows which considering his mins would suggest he's a magnet.

With Ait Nouri the boat will never sail due to his positioning

He is a maurading fb with only attacking in his mind

Mbuemo owner and fully paid up member of his fan club. Very quiet yesterday considering how poor Wolves were and Brentford scoring 5. Didn't seem to be involved much at all on the eye test (highlights) and its backed up by the numbers if you take out the xg of his penalty. Not sure if this was a system thing or Wolves managing to keep him quiet but failing spectacularly in doing any other defending. I suppose this is insurance from FPL a 90 minute pen taker brings.

Only seen highlights but Id say the Brentford goals were mostly scored off crosses so not Mboomos strong point

I was at this game so don't know how it came across in highlights.

But the entire game revolved around Ait-Nouri and his wild positioning. Mbeumo was forced into RWB and even RB positions to help Sepp deal with this.

I would have liked to have seen Bryan pushed way up as a way to combat RAN, it was reactive rather than proactive from Frank and Brentford actually really struggled to cope with RAN all game. But Wolves can't defend crosses for love nor money so ultimately all good.

Decent. Not a million miles away from what I have, but I have Maddy and Watkins. My main problem would be deciding who of Maddy/Mbeumo goes after I free up the Watkins funds, I might have to sacrifice TAA.

I was saying that I wasn't sure he was worth the 7.0 but now I've slept on it, I think ill hold for a while longer.

      Raya | Fab
TAA Gabriel Davis | VdB Greaves
      Saka Palmer Mbeumo Rogers Semenyo
      Haaland Raul | Ndiaye/Vardy

Although I am considering doing Trent to Konate to have a better 2nd Fwd (Jackson/Solanke) instead of Ndiaye/Vardy

      My current team

      Raya
      Taa Gabriel Davis Martinez 4.0
      Saka Palmer Rogers Mbeumo Esr
      Haaland Delap Dcl

Bad part is I have no funds to upgrade a striker to the 7.5ers. Good news is rotating 5.5 strikers and mids for the last spot seems to work well enough. Will be swapping dcl and 4.0 for Larsen and RAN soon too to give me more options off the bench

What should I do with double Arsenal defence?
What looked like highly likely clean sheets against Leicester and Southampton turned into a big shite show, proving that even teams regarded as solid defensively can’t be trusted.

12m on a pair of 2 point defenders is bit much, no?

Same boat. Not sure who the biggest waste of money to get rid of first is, Raya or Gabriel.

Under 1xg between the two of them, clock this up to variance. Ironically keeping a clean sheet against psg may be evidence of a less balls-to-the-wall approach for the bigger teams, so you may reap the rewards then.

I can see a world where people sell in mass after Bournemouth citing the tricky fixtures and then Arteta reverts back to parking the bus for the harder games.

After those games they have a great run of fixtures. I will be tempted just to keep my Arsenal assets.

I suspect over the coming weeks defences/gk will not be as well invested and funds will be reallocated into midfield and in some cases, the front 3. This will not just be a flight from Arsenal, but Liverpool and maybe even Man C too.

    5. Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo
      • 5 Years

You just have to fight your instincts when it comes to Arsenal defenders.

Any home game is not great, regardless of opposition.
Any away game is good, regardless of opposition.

Once you understand this quirk, it becomes better to own and play Arsenal defenders.

I’m on the classic international break wildcard, and the one area I don’t have any interest in is the keepers, so I’m struggling to pick one that has the least caveats:
Raya - I prefer having Arsenal attack when possible (had Saka and Havertz and Gabriel)
    Ederson - lol
None of the 5.0s have convinced me (had Pope) EXCEPT for Onana, who gets lots of saves because of how bad United are. And their fixtures are decent…
Pickford - good fixtures upcoming, and if Brainthwaite is fit they could grab their clean sheets like they did last year.
Sanchez? - not ideal fixtures and feels a game or two away from getting dropped.
None of the 4.5s appeal to me - Brentford can’t defend and everyone else is neither here nor there.

      • 7 Years

      Id rate them as

      1. Pickford - fixtures plus Dyche

      2. Raya - best gk, blocks 2nd att

      3. Flekken - fixtures

Is Salah still a hold? I've got Palmer so the only options are Saka who has had his two best fixtures. Then there is Son who is injured but may be back for the next game and is massive differential on pens. And then there's been a few shouts for Foden but I'm not a fan.

    What do you think?

      Hold Salah.

          I have Maddy.

          But out of that lot its difficult;

Foden - not looked great but could be a nice differential especially given the fixtures.

Maddy - If I could go back in time I might of gone Kulu or Johnson to save the extra dollar.

          Bowen - Another nice differential

Fair point but feels a bit reactionary. He played nearly the full 90 in the previous two games. I'd fully expect him to be back in the starting XI in the next game, I think Man City away was just not the game for him.

I've only got one but I'll be keeping them because I suspect they might be more valuable in the tricky games than the games they expect to win handsomely. They've just reverted to the mean anyway haven't they? The expected data would say they shouldn't have conceded 3 between Southampton and Leicester but then you look at some of those other games they should have conceded in but didn't, notably the Villa one and they are probably about where they should be overall.

Good insights guys thanks. Gab probably will do well soon as I sell him lol. Moving on Raya just seems a bit sideways unless it’s to free up cash. I’d however Alison is out for ages, Kelleher will be a bargain.

You have to press the play wildcard button, it will change colour, and then when you go to confirm a transfer it will ask you to confirm playing your wildcard.

Once you do that, it is fully active.

Everyone seems to be very eager to sell Diaz.

Surely the fact that his last game for Colombia is tuesday and Pool play in the league on sunday, is less of a worry.

Also, no standout replacement in that price bracket with Foden only making 1 start, Son still out, Palmer facing Liverpool,...

To get Diaz to Palmer, which route would you choose :

    a. Trent to 4.5 def
    b. Robbo to 4.5 def, DCL to 4.5 striker

    Personally I would like (a) as I can play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3

    Current team consist of :

    Raya, 4m
    Trent, Robbo, Robinson, Dunk, Greaves
    Saka, Diaz, Mbeumo, Semenyo, Rogers
    Haaland, Solanke, DCL

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply, both Chelsea and Arsenal will have favourable run starting GW12, bar injuries to both I have to sacrifice Liverpool assets.

Even Robbo would be Konate and keep the spare.

Saka 2 assist and a goal vs. Leicester and Soton at home. The goal and an assist were gifted by the Soton defense. #secondcomingofChrist
Gabriel "the set piece king" Magalhaes got feck all from 30 corner kicks and a billion free kicks in the last two. #essential #unlucky
Raya made 2 saves and conceded 3 times in the last two. Saved by the woodwork twice against Soton. #musthave
    BOU(A); LIV(H); NEW(A); CHE(A)
I hope they come back healthy from international duties.
