Arteta has done this before with Saka.... Says he will probably be ok then not even in the squad... This feels the same? Thoughts?

Carsley said he was close to being ok for England game and should be ok. He has no reason to lie and that was a week before the prem game.

Some "insider" fella on Arsenal tv said he won't even be in squad, very mixed views on his reliability though, posted on X

It would be like Arteta to talk positively if he was leaving him out

Very much like Arteta... He did the same thing last twice last season I'm sure. Also it being against Bournemouth feels like the perfect rest opportunity.

Arteta rarely says anything of note. He still believes its a fantastic mindgame and Ireola will be studying every word uttered from his mouth and not actually preparing to face Saka. It's childish nonsense but for some reason Arteta likes it.

1 FT and 3.9 ITB. Was planning to get Cunha next week after Wolves play City but should I just do it this week? A bit risky in case he gets injured.

    A - Mateta > Cunha
    B - Roll
C - Upgrade bench fodder Winks or Mosquero

    Henderson
    Gabriel - Konsa - Robinson
    Martinelli - Johnson - Palmer - Mbuemo
    Haaland - Mateta - Wood

    Valdi - Myko - Winks - Mosquero

Do you think Palmer gets a goal or assist vs Liverpool?

Toying with the idea of Diaz and TAA >> Palmer and Ait-Nouri but would it be better to delay a week?

    Reasons For:
-Palmer 50% owned, risky going without
-Palmer goal or assist also wipes TAA CS dealing double damage
-Nailed to Play 90, whereas Diaz 70 mins max, and could even be benched

    Reasons Against:
    -Chelsea defence has injuries
-Liverpool are at home and favourites to win
-Lose 0.1m on TAA if I wanted him back

Let's see what G-Whizz's clean sheet says... 29%.
      Palmer anytime scorer odds? 11/4.
There's a good case to move early, get it over with.

Get palmer in. It’s aggressive as a load of experts on here don’t have him and are waiting for a magical gameweek (12) to get him in. By then he’ll have risen in price and dealt out a lot of punishments to those not owning. The less aggressive move is to do what most in here seem to be doing

      1. Frank Bruno Guimaraes
        • 1 Year
        1 year, 4 months ago

Palmer is still seen as very different to Haaland by many and yet the evidence is it’s palmer who should hold the 75% ownership and should be respected more. I heard before the Brighton and Forest games that palmer had tough fixtures where he went on to score a combined score 31 points . Don’t think you can time these top players going big. It can happen nearly at any moment . I don’t have Haaland but don’t go around telling myself I’m safe or not safe based on his fixtures. Clean sheets are a rarity, attacking players have far fewer tough fixtures then they’ve ever had. Chelsea don’t need to win the game for palmer to hit 10-15 points

        1. Sir Michael Taker
          • 11 Years
          1 year, 4 months ago

Bit wierd combining the Forest and Brighton games. By all accounts for a premium he flopped in FPL terms in the Forest game so those saying it was a hard game were correct. Attacking players may have fewer hard games but there is still a sliding scale on how hard and Liverpool away is right up there as a bad game for an opposing attacker. Maresca will probably set up very conservative given his defensive issues.

          1. Frank Bruno Guimaraes
            • 1 Year

Yes I also thought it was weird although they occurred in consecutive weeks so some people were saying he had tough fixtures. It’s not me grouping them together that’s just how they fell. My point is if someone wants palmer why would the advice be to not and then give fixtures as the reason. I would never read on here to not get Haaland because he has tough fixtures. Palmer is highly likely to outscore Haaland over the season.

If people said go without palmer it’s a risk but could pay off then this is more reasonable . But people often don’t say this , they say go without palmer his fixtures are hard.

          2. Frank Bruno Guimaraes
            • 1 Year
            1 year, 4 months ago

You also make an assumption someone does or doesn’t score well because a fixture is hard . This isn’t always the case . Haaland recently had an easy fixture and didn’t score. It wasn’t a hard fixture that meant he didn’t score

I don’t like it tbh. I’d be tempted by Havertz to Solanke and reverse it in GW12.

Also leaves your bench thinner if (when) Lewis gets benched.
