    Missed the deadline, luckily starting XI and captain from last week is exactly who I’d have picked had I not made a transfer. Found out by turning talk sport on to hear Wood had scored a brace. Monster.

    Muniz vs Wood has been massive. Pre-season, Fulham attackers kept scoring but Muniz didn't touch the ball. Wood was highly efficient, still, no anomaly.

    To be honest, I dropped Wood when wildcarding in GW 6 ("only one attempt per game?!"). Mistakes are meant to be rectified, just need to accept our faults and see the world without filters/judgment.

        TBH, only city and arsenal concern me with Wood. The fixture run is not very nice looking, but I think he can score vs the rest of those teams. He could even score vs city or arse.

      Having done Solanke->Wood ahead of this gameweek, I feel it.

      Solanke acting like Klopp-era Firmino, but a Son injury might change that?
      Arsenal attack slightly broken at the moment, impacts Havertz. Tricky... I would do Solanke->Wood.

    Its a while off yet. But what are people planning to do with Wood when he hits those tricky fixtures? He can probably score in some of them tbh, but I think I will just bench him for the tough ones and keep him, especially as he has Ipswich plonked in the middle.

    don't know if anyone else remember or cares but when City beat Spurs 4-2, 2 seasons ago, for Mahrez's last goal it was basically the same as today. and ederson wasn't given the assist as the defender was judged to have made a deliberate play on the ball, even though Mahrez was the intended target. its the lack of consistency, oh well

      I think the defender needs to significantly alter the direction of the ball for it not to be an assist. Did faes alter direction of ball significantly is the question

        sure, but its also a question of whether the defender was in control of the ball i.e deliberate play. in which case its an unforced defensive error. in this case if you're telling me Faes was caught unawares after watching the ball travel 70 yards, bounce once and it just hit his head out of nowhere then i'll have what you're having etc. faes had all the time in the world and decided to head it straight to Wood. only 3 points, but maybe time for fpl towers to reconsider their assists rules because the inconsistency is a killer for enjoyment

        true, only remember as i was an owner. dgw, Haaland triple captain and best he could muster was 8 after a United blank. ofc ederson's cs was wiped at OT with that non-offside Bruno goal lol

        and then last season haaland tc only 8 again. beginning to think the SGW Haaland tc'ers are on to something.... 😀

          Yeah, I also got the Haaland 8 point TC. Most people keep dissing the BB chip, but TC can be worse - only chip depending on a single player. Better than the Mané/Sané TCs, at least..

      Wood fixtures have been underrated. Target the promoted teams. Then West Ham, broken defense. Newcastle, Wood vs former team, point to prove again (hattrick last season). Bench vs Arsenal, then Ipswich at home.

      Everton defense looking better, strong at home. Then Brentford, home game, Raul has brace potential. But Palace away next, their defense is decent. Wolves in 12, brace potential again. Raul owners should also be happy.

      Yes, Slot keeps rotating that position. Wouldn't bring in Trent now, though (even if he is currently in my team) - his value isn't the best. I would bring in a cheaper defender (like Konate) and upgrade mids/strikers.
