He may not have been the only one to start with Salah(C), Palmer(V), Saka and Mbeumo, but if he wasn't then the others probably couldn't resist the temptation to sell some of them later in order to afford to bring in Haaland.

What is the pull of TAA over VVD? So many people going this way, but is it just a crazy bandwagon? Stats aren’t great apart from the Newcastle game.

taa will always outscore vvd as long as they are both starting, so i guess thats the sticking point if you think taa might lose some starts to quansah/bradley when back etc. admittedly his goal threat is down this season but assist potential is as strong as ever.

he's always been 1/1.5/2mil more than vvd, now the difference is only 0.6

It most certainly had to wait until the later stages.

Imagine being able to use it early, arsenal or pool losing first game, be the bottom of the table, now u can EASILY gain 48 points by playing them against “teams 5 places higher up the table”

I suspect we would've seen more variety if they'd removed that aspect and made it playable at any time. They know most chips are already played in the second half of the season, this could lock in a template chip strategy even more.

So in a realistic (slightly sub par) scenario where you pick a team that plays 3 teams,
2 of them ranked 5 above, 1 not.

      Win 1 game vs 5 ranked above = 10
      Draw 1 = 6
Draw the last one = 3
      Get a clean sheet = 2
      Score 5 goals = 5

      Total = 26

Now imagine using it in a double AND nailing the games.

      You can get 50+

I didn't like the sound of it at first, but it's probably no worse than some of the other chips (and certainly better than the late unlamented All Out Attack). It might add a bit of spice to the last few weeks of the season when it might benefit from the traditional higher goal-scoring without having to worry about the mass rotation. And plenty of managers to choose from if you want a late differential.

    - Team draw: 3 points.
    - Goal scored by team: 1 point per goal.
    - Clean sheet: 2 points.

    - Win: +10 points (16 total).
    - Draw: +5 points (8 total).

    - Transfers:
    - Choosing a manager does not cost a transfer.
    - Changing a manager during the 3-Gameweek period costs a transfer.

    - Chip limit:
    - Only one chip per Gameweek can be played.

I'm in favour of this new chip. Way back in the very early days of Fantasy Football, there was on game where you bought 11 players and a manager. It was a great addition - the better the manager the more expensive he was, so you had to factor in points v pounds just like the players.

So you can't play the chip until 24, but with the double in 25, you can't block TC, so it's 26 at the earliest

DGWs in 33 & 36, so that rules out 31, 32 33, 34, 35 & 36 if you want to play chips in the doubles.

If you use it in 37, you only get 2 GWs

So, essentially, you'll have to use it between 26

So how many games can we realistically grind out of this chip? There should be a time of the season with two consecutive DGWs, right? So perhaps you could catch 5 games from the chip if you transfer the manager in the process.
