In my head I read it latteriser. It doesn't help that the two words are put together, nor that I'm old and going senile.

Yes, it's not helped by the fact that the second word is a common suffix. It's probably easier for an American to read it the way it's intended, as otherwise it would be Laterizer or Latterizer.

Garnacho for 59m pounds to Napoli is a joke. If there's a 50% sell on clause that persevers through new contracts etc then maybe I can get behind that, otherwise that fee seems really low to me. He's only 20!

£59m for a player struggling to nail down a spot for the 15th best team in the Premier League is great business if Man Utd can get that deal over the line

  11. Captain Mal

    Gakpo, Wood or Wissa?
Gakpo has the worst minutes but plays for the best attack and has a DGW ahead.
Wood plays for the worst attack but is their main man and takes penalties.
Wissa keeps up despite being the cheapest.

    1. The 12th Man
      • 12 Years
      1 year, 1 month ago

All good picks with different entrance points.
This is partly my dilemma too.
To move Jackson this week to Wood or wait a week and go Gakpo.

If I go Wood I’ll probably get a Alison.

      1. Captain Mal
        • 1 Year
        1 year, 1 month ago

I think Wood has to be this week, else I'll have missed his best fixture. But I'm also tempted to wait a week and see if Jota starts, which would in turn affect Gakpo's minutes.

        1. The 12th Man
          • 12 Years
          1 year, 1 month ago

          Personally, I wouldn’t touch Jota.
Too much rotation and injury risk.

Fair enough if you want to go there.

          1. Captain Mal
            • 1 Year
            1 year, 1 month ago

No, I meant if Jota starts a PL game then Gakpo may not be such a good option. I'm definitely not interested in Jota.

My own stupid fault but ended up with a benching headache this week with the initial plan to hit the BB, but a single gw probably not the right play.

    Play 4 from:
    Gabriel (AVL)
    Robinson (lei)
    Hall (BOU)
    Munoz (whu)
    Amad (BHA)
    Mateta (whu)

The usual candidates fill the other slots
I'm currently benching Robinson Munoz Amad.
    Or just BB

Definitely bench 2 defenders, can see 2-pointers from most of them. Wouldn’t bench Robinson, so Munoz + Gabriel/Hall. Coin toss between Mateta/Amad if you need to bench an attacker too

He was really good, honestly. Particularly first half.

Advanced ahead of Lavia, and heavily involved. He just needs to pass to Palmer instead of Jackson.

    5. Gommy
      • 16 Years
      1 year, 1 month ago

I agree that he is more advanced when Lavia is about. Even then, he still flirts in joining the attack and the on the odd free kick/corner.

I'm no longer an owber but he's actually been quite unlucky to have not delivered a return in recent weeks.

AM is not a game changer chip. If you find manager, who win 3 games with 2:0, it scores 30 points without risky bonuses. It prevents using other chips for 3 weeks also. I will use it as soon as possible, just to have freedom to the end. So Moyes in 24th decided.

The latest ones suggest that it will be next summer(?) Bradley will be either 6.0 or 5.5 next season. However, at 4.7 he would be a steal and his ownership as high as Palmer's.

What would you say is a good alternative? AM mightn't be great but it's original. They could have brought back All out Attack and bored us to tears, or autocaptain you best player fir the GW. Should go back to one wildcard per season as the only chip. FPL is veering more and more towards UCL FF too many chips and wildcards per number of games.

Intersting dilemma about where is best to use FH blank 29 or blank 34 and obviously it'll be team dependent but one aspect of this is we won't know who blanks in 34 until after 29 has happened (1/4 finals of FA Cup are between gw29 and gw30) so you can't fully assess the impact of 34 when you get to 29.

I've seen a few saying 34 will be the bigger blank (very likely true) but whilst that does mean you probably have more players missing in 34, you also have a smaller pool of players who are playing to choose from and potentially from teams you wouldn't normally pick from. Lots of ifs and buts in this all of course but it may not be as simple a decision as it appears now.

Playing FH pays off when you pick the players that score points.

No different to any other weeks except last season there was collective angst when the FH template dodged the points. All that was needed was Muniz and a few other returns and it was half decent.

The thing about following the prevailing view is that it becomes so narrow.

Take the double game week, would you be buying Everton attacking players normally? So why pick for Leicester with the added Liverpool game and using extra transfers? It seems to be a short-sighted play but will become the norm.
