DGW24 could be as good a time as any to BB. I’m not sure what’s the possibilities for big DGWs later on? Remember it being said there would be less this year.

Triple captain & Assistant managers better DGW plays imo.

BB is better for single GW’s imo

You will only have 2 teams doubling in 24 - there will be more in the later doubles (there will be one for the 2 games/ 4 teams cancelled due to the Carabao Cup and another for the FA Cup Semi Final teams - which could be up to 8 teams doubling but will probabaly be fewer than that). So more chance to get a full team of doublers plus some doubling bench players if you wait.
But if you have a great looking 15 in GW24 then go for it.

Don’t think it’s worth the risk.

I’m not 100% he’s the correct captain even when fit.

Wolves will play 11 men behind the ball at Stamford Bridge.

Brentford will have a good go at home to Liverpool and leave gaps.

I captain Salah but I think Liverpool won’t find a single counter attacking possibility. Frank is a genius. Brentford will give the ball to Liverpool and sit back. Salah can score anyways just saying.

Am I thinking right about it?
    Benching Gabriel because:
    -Villa defend set pieces well
    -Usually score at Emirates
    -Saliba out
    -Raya is my starting GK

Instead I start Trent, N.Williams and Castagne (plays former club and Fulham a superior side to Leicester)

Probably I should not ask more people about it bec I feel everyone says start Gabriel every game, imo Villa for Arsenal are one of the 2-3 most difficult fixtures of the season

      1. Shark Team
        • 8 Years

Yes bec they have 0.45xGC but every game is different and Villa have the quality with Rogers, Watkins and Duran to bag a goal against Saliba-less defence imo. Also Malen might feature too

    2. boroie
      • 7 Years

Gabriel has lower odds of scoring and lower odds of getting a clean sheet. Take superstitions out of it. Villa scoring at the Emirates in the past has absolutely zero influence on them scoring tomorrow. Castagne playing against a previous team has zero influence on his performance against them this weekend.

Of course Castagne could end up outscoring Gabriel. Anyone can outscore anyone in a given week. But it certainly wouldn’t be the sensible option to bench Gabriel over Castagne. You’d be going off a hunch.

    3. Kingy109
      • 4 Years

I have the exact same decision and I'm currently playing Gabriel. I have thought about Castagne but I'm not certain either has a clean sheet which then makes Gabriel feel a better shout for that goal threat.

I do. Just used the second WC early and it’s paid off. Not crazy about TC in GW24.

Would rather BB, just because I WC’d with it in mind. So that’s a personal thing due to early WC. Still may decide to hold the BB with Delap (SOU) in GW24 and Pickford for Henderson, and hopefully 1-2 other FT’s

      I would

  13. Fifa las vegas

So now I’m thinking Slot from GW 23-25. Ideally would do Sarr/Havertz > Gakpo/Rogers giving me just enough to afford Slot. Had in my head I’d do the Gakpo move after Havertz plays Wolves, but would need both moves to afford Slot.

So play Havertz (or Sarr?) this week or just go and get Gakpo vs Brentford? Would be a FT either way.

Don’t think you can activate AM chip until gw24. Slot still a good, if likely template, pick.
