Fantasy EFL Gameweek 25 has already seen three matches played across the three divisions.

If you are seeking some further inspiration, this is the piece for you. Here, we go through the top picks for Saturday and Sunday, determining who you should be targeting for your Fantasy EFL teams.

Please note: All of these players mentioned DID NOT make the Scout Picks article but were honourable mentions.

Don’t forget, you can make changes to your Fantasy EFL team, including player/club picks and captaincy right up until kick-off.

TOP PICKS – GOALKEEPERS

Filip Marschall (G)- Crewe Alexandra vs Accrington Stanley (H), AFC Wimbledon (H)

Crewe Alexandra’s number one, Filip Marschall is amongst our top picks for this weekend. The Railwaymen have managed two consecutive clean sheets in their latest outings and two consecutive home ties in their upcoming matches would suggest their number one has a great chance to secure a double-digit haul this weekend. With a save tally of 61 this season, he’s owned by 1.2% and has scored 126 points.

Matt Macey (G) – Colchester United vs Morecambe (H), Port Vale (H)

Alternatively, Colchester United’s number one Matt Macey (G) also seems a great option for Gameweek 25. The U’s host Morecambe and Port Vale in two consecutive home fixtures, and their number one has every chance to secure a double-digit haul across the Double Gameweek 25. Colchester have also managed clean sheets in their last two outings, bringing Macey’s total to 11 (+55) for the campaign.

TOP PICKS – DEFENDERS

Anthony O’Connor (D) – Harrogate Town vs Doncaster Rovers (A), MK Dons (A)

Harrogate Town’s Anthony O’Connor (D) is a great option, and was unfortunate to miss out on Scout Picks. The centre-back has racked up 196 points in Fantasy EFL, the second-highest total in the game! In his last three fixtures, O’Connor has managed to secure 36 points. O’Connor has emerged as a clearance master, racking up a remarkable 310 of them this season. Although he faces tough opposition in the upcoming Double Gameweek, this may work in his favour and enable him to continue racking up defensive points, especially with the attacking threat of Donny and the Dons.

Macaulay Gillesphey (D) – Charlton Athletic vs Shrewsbury Town (H), Bristol Rovers (H)

Another defensive pick that we believe could be a great asset is Charlton Athletic’s Macaulay Gillesphey (D). The centre-back has racked up an incredible 163 points in Fantasy EFL. It is not only his impressive defensive displays that have played a part in his returns but also his attacking contributions. He demonstrated this clearly with an assist (+3), three clearances (+1), two tackles (+1) and 90 minutes played (+2) in his last outing. The Addicks defender has averaged 6.8 points per game, and with his ownership sitting at just 2.9% he could be a great differential.

TOP PICKS – MIDFIELDERS

Lewis Wing (M) – Reading vs Leyton Orient (A), Burton Albion (A)

The Reading midfield maestro is now leading the race amongst the League One midfield assets with an impressive 167 points to his name in Fantasy EFL. The Royals travel to Leyton Orient, followed by a trip to 23rd-placed Burton Albion. He has 11 goal involvements in his 25 appearances this season and if the FDR is a key indicator, then Wing could be heavily involved across the Double Gameweek. He has four double-digit hauls to his name this season.

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 25: Top Weekend Picks

Taylor Allen (M) – Walsall vs Bradford City (A), Fleetwood Town (A)

Walsall’s Taylor Allen (M) is another excellent option for this weekend’s fixtures. His side have managed to hit nine goals in their last two outings and he played a pivotal role in both ties, endeavouring to gain three assists (+9), as well as other attacking contributions. In Triple Gameweek 21, he banked his sixth double-digit haul of the campaign, with a 16-point return. With five goals and eight assists to his name from centre-back, the out-of-position player is a top choice.

TOP PICKS – FORWARDS

Allassana Jatta (F) – Notts County vs Bromley (H), Carlisle United (H)

Notts County’s talisman, Allassana Jatta (F) is another one that has emerged as a great option for the upcoming Double Gameweek. The Magpies host Bromley and Carlisle United in front of their home faithful, and his latest displays would suggest he could be an excellent asset in the fast-approaching Double Gameweek. Jatta has managed 12 goals (+60) and five assists (+15) in the 20 appearances he has made this season. He has averaged 6.3 points per game and is an excellent alternative to his teammate, David McGoldrick (F).

Richard Kone (F) – Wycombe Wanderers vs Northampton Town (H), Barnsley (H)

Richard Kone (F) is our final top asset for the upcoming Gameweek 25 with the Chairboys talisman in high-flying form after hitting two goals (+10) in his last three outings. His side host Northampton Town in the first game of the double, which has every chance of ending in an absolute goal fest in favour of the home side. If this is the case, then Kone could be heavily involved and increase his current goal tally of 14 (+70) for the season. If he fails to do so, then he has another opportunity to impress in front of his home faithful when his side host Barnsley. This is likely to be more of a challenging fixture, but still one that Kone could be influential in. With ownership of 3.9%, we back the striker to score at least once and haul.
