    Sanchez + Sarr > Kepa + Kluivert worth a -4?

yeah I think so (unless you have a benching headache this week)... Sanchez seems to have lost his number 1 spot, Sarr will blank in GW29 and Kluivert is in great form + great fixtures

One thing it doesn't help though is your budget whenever you wildcard. The early assmanners get the budget back to use on a wildcard, whereas late assmanners probably have to keep a bit back, potentially could be the difference between finding a way to Haaland and that being impossible.

That's true, I can only afford Saka back when assman expires.

Yeah been considering this as not that keen on Emery this week so hoping to save the chip. Maybe rolling a few FTs will make it easier to shift out some players following the BB to feed up funds.

This, plus the fact the potential doubles in 36 don't look great.

Also, the fixtures in GW37 look very poor as far as AM opportunities are concerned.

But if you play now. You are basically playing it on the basis that Villa can beat Liverpool, potentially you need a hit or two to change managers and build for non fh 29 if that's the plan. After Emry where do you go? Nothing standout for the next 2

If I was going this gw I'd be tempted to put it on Brighton to beat Chelsea. Friday night unpredictable game, Brighton at home and Chelsea poor ATM. Then keep it on for Shampton next week

Yeah I have thought about this one and it's definitely a reason not to but I do like the fact you know where you stand. A lot of the bigger teams could have nothing to play for so you may not need a lot to go for some of the upside relegation managers with all to play for. Also you can't really go Palmer, Salah and Haaland regardless. There are enough cheap players in the game to shave off 1.5 mil. Going without a Trent for a 5.5 covers it

After success with TC this week, I can't figure out, whether it's a knee jerk move to activate AM now and go for Emery. Seems there might come better opportunities, but on the other hand with so many chips to play, I also kind of just want to get it out of the way. What's the general opinion of people who haven't played it yet?

    1. NotsoSpursy

Same question. The consensus last week was Emery AM but I’m still unsure

    2. vova
      • 15 Years
      1 year, 1 month ago

Exactly in the same boat as you! Leaning towards activating it and getting it out of the way so I can then start planning for WC and then bench boost for other DGWs... don't want to end up blocking myself from playing AM/Bench Boost in a DGW.

      So far liking this plan:

This week: Sarr > Nwaneri to free up some cash and activate Emery AM
Next week: Perhaps move Emery > Iraola (or might even keep him as Chels aren't on the best run of form either... Chels fan here)

      1. Steavn8k
        • 2 Years
        1 year, 1 month ago

Sounds like a solid plan, might go along the same lines, as I'm also worried about blocking myself later on. Would mean to do Gordon > Kluivert this week and then do the same as you and go Emery > Iraola next week.

I really like Gordon > Kluivert... better fixtures + playing in GW29... would love a Bournemouth mid myself but even Dango is too expensive if I want to activate AM on Emery this week

yeah, chosing who to bench is tough this week too so rolling a trasnfer/saving money and playing someone you already have can be a good move

Yep, been thinking the same. If I bring in Kluivert, I would have to bench Isak, which I don't like either.

With possible Gakpo injury do we think the move now is to -

    A) shift Gakpo allowing Slot AM

    B) stick with Emery AM

    C) wait to play AM chip

    1. vova
      • 15 Years

I think Gakpo should be fine... he is a very important player for them and I would expect him to start. He did look a bit anonymous last night + did limp off when he got subbed but looked fine during the game and it could just be after effects of a very tough/physical game.

Don't think Liverpool are in a position to start chopping and changing the starting 11 as they need a result vs Wolves... Gakpo still clearly first choice.

3FT, £0.9m ITB and Assistant Manager currently on the mighty Moyes.

Thoughts here? Would love to bring in Kluivert, but would simply worsen already difficult benching decision (Mbeumo? Wood? Risk benching another Mateta haul?).

Could drop Hall and play the replacement over Robinson (NFO), or replace Verbruggen (CHE)... or, just swap Moyes out for Emery and roll 2FT. Diaz out, while I trust him very little, doesn't seem a priority in a DGW.

Weighing up FH29 at the moment, thinking I may be fine to navigate without it.

    Verbruggen (Valdimarrson)
    TAA Huijsen Robinson (Hall Faes)
    Salah(c) Palmer Diaz Rogers (Mbeumo)
    Isak Wood Mateta

Cheers in advance, any and all!

Ta! Yeah, I feel I can get away with it (famous last words...)...

If making just one move this week, should have what, 5/6 FT in total between next week and the BGW29 deadline? Enough to drop the majority of my seven current blankers, keep those with the most value / best post-GW29 fixtures on the bench.

Unless Diaz starts scoring I think you'll get more points out of Slot, over Emery so I'd be tempted by selling Diaz to make room for Slot.

Of course, if you think that Villa beat or draw with Liverpool on Wednesday then switch to Emery.

I've got to do something with just 0.2m itb and I don't think Moyes will continue with points at Palace.

Diaz of course the big question mark. He's got to score again at some point, right? 😆

May just be my bias, but would love to think Villa are capable of a result at home, even vs Liverpool. May be daft, but Slot just feels a wee bit boring.

Tough spot to be in re your £0.2m ITB; reckon Potter could do a job against Brentford?

Certainly a viable option, and will hate going into this GW still lacking a Bournemouth attacker if I do so.

That move of course wouldn't make the benching headache any worse, as Kluivert would just come in for Diaz, but as you say, doesn't solve the Wood/Isak/Mateta/Mbeumo conundrum

Not really. Bournemouth play in GW29 so it’s a move I’d consider anyway, esp considering their form and fixtures.

Sels owners, are you getting Jorgensen (4.2m) for your 4m keeper/Fabianski in gw27?

don't think it's worth a transfer. As a Chelsea fan, we are shambles at the back, for as bad as Southampton and Leicester are, they still have goals in them.

Fair enough. I agree with you, it's just I'm on triple Forest defence and those weeks don't look the best ha.

yeah that's fair, my thinking is that FT are too valuable at this point to be wasting on goalkeepers from a team with dodgy defence.

I will leave it, just no WC and it'd be nice to secure a playing keeper on the bench for 0.1 cost. Ii don't think I'll go Fab to Areola, but maybe West Ham are going to keep more clean sheets than Chelsea in the run in, the fixtures are very good long term.

Right, I know Tottenham away and City away spark memories of difficult fixtures, the truth is they aren't difficult for attackers right now. All you lot desperate to get on Bournemouth mids selling Amad and Gordon you are going too early!

Saving transfers is the name of the game right now, giving yourself the most flexibility before gw29.

If you're making a sideways move please consider how valuable it might be to have the extra transfers in your back pocket for greater strategy beyond game week 29.

I really want to keep Gordon cuz city are so so poor on the break

But for free it makes sense. Southampton away is still easier than city, Bournemouth have better fixtures, a game in 29, and they save u money compared to Gordon

With Amad I've just had enough of united attack. Shd have sold him right after his hat trick as I planned to

Could Newcastle put a couple of goals past City, definitely....and Gordon probably gets a return...

But how many could BOU score vs SOU?

Nah too much I reckon, wouldn't want to sell Isak to Watkins... can see Isak scoring vs City (also depends on how much value you would lose on him)

Same decision. Currently on C. Wood’s form and Isak vs City’s defence is doing it for me. And you just can’t bench Palmer (famous last words).
