Our in-house panel of Marc, Sam, Neale and Tom explain their key nominations and omissions below.

Scout Gameweek 28 Squad

In this article series, our team discuss who they think the best players are for the upcoming Gameweek in isolation. In other words, there’s no medium-term planning involved.

The players who get the most votes are likelier to make Friday’s Scout Picks.

Each of our writers must meet the following requirements for this feature:

  • At least one sub-£5.0m goalkeeper
  • At least one sub-£5.0m defender
  • At least one sub-£6.0m midfielder
  • At least one sub-£7.0m forward
  • No more than three players from the same club

                Hi guys, need some help here, marginal call. Having a terrible season and have made some weird choices to try and gain rank.

                TC/AM done, plan A is WC 31, then BB/FH depending on doubles/blanks so transfers are effectively a 2 week punt. Have 11 starters for 29 so not bad, but feel like I need at least one of Haaland, Bruno, Kluivert.

                          I would recommend you to aim for some juicy table bonus. I for one profited massively from it. AM Arteta vs Liverpool brought me 14 points, and AM Glasner vs Fulham and Aston Villa in GWs 26 and 27 brought me 40 points, so I am a big advocat for table bonus games because even a draw in them gets you easy 10-pointer

                          My thinking of Evanilson being benched in one of those games isn't purely injury related, its more of Dango being very good in his absence so manager will definitely not disregard him completely just because Evanilson returned. 3 games in a week, with Evanilson probably starting a first one in FA cup, makes me think Dango starts either IPS or WHU. Really can't see Evanilson starting all three, unrelated to injury

                            Evanilson is the only natural CF fit at the club. Pretty much came straight back in the 11 when fit to start.

                            Kerkez is suspended in the FAC QF, Dango may start LB over Soler.
