In his latest article, Pras – who has finished inside the top 40k of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) in each of the last seven seasons and now ranks 13th in our Live Hall of Fame – is using a Gameweek 30 Wildcard.

I won’t be in the minority that are holding their Wildcard for another week, as I’m now looking at a forward line featuring injured Norwegian and Kiwi assets. It has me wondering if activating the Wildcard now may work better, as it spreads funds and jumps in early on some of the teams doubling. After all, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Manchester City all have superb entry points.

FIXTURE ASSUMPTIONS

The catch, of course, is that even though we now know the four FA Cup semi-finalists, we’re not yet certain of where the rearranged fixtures will go.

For my Wildcard draft, I’ll use the below permutations prepared by Jonny Currie from Solio. This basically assumes that Man City, Palace, Aston Villa and Arsenal will double in Gameweek 33 and subsequently blank in Gameweek 34. Likewise, the two FA Cup finalists will double in Gameweek 36 and blank in Gameweek 37.

FPL expert Pras' Gameweek 30 Wildcard team 2

CHIP STRATEGY

Good luck, everyone. We discussed the above and a lot more on the latest episode of The FPL Wire, below.

I would bring in Saka regardless as he will likely play and you will want him for the potential Arsenal double in 33. Bringing him in now will save you a transfer later.

Current draft only has 0.6m ITB for AM.

Planning to go Glasner (0.8m), and will fund it most likely by selling Munoz as have 3 Palace.

Does rule out going Howe in GW31, but could still go Frank.

Would you downgrade Gabriel to Timber to allow more flexibility, or just commit to 0.8m and under Managers

GW32 is the most compelling reason I've heard, though realistically he isn't getting played over Gvardiol, Livramento, Gabriel or Munoz (who everyone has now)

Yeah that is the challenge - Villa have had a lot of European hangovers and a Saturday 3pm fixture after a possibly gruelling 90 minutes in Paris on Wednesday might not mean a CS. Although it is Soton...

Southampton have scored against pretty much every half-decent team this season - can see them putting a few past a rotated away side

1FT....got to ship Trent so going Gvardiol......happy to take 4pt hit to get either palace or city in....the question is....

    Watkins/Gakpo to Marmoush

    Or

    Nwaneri > Eze/Sarr

Other option would be Dango/Rogers to Foden but less keen on this and think Dango might start against Ipswich anyway

    1. Biggsy
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Probably the first one - starting up top for City (likely) against Leicester should pay the hit

Do you play Kerkez (IPS) over Munoz (sou), Gvardiol (LEI) or Gabriel (FUL)? Maybe bench the latter, but I think Gab is ok, so lose Kerkez?

Aside from Chelsea who didn't have Palmer or Jackson and lacked punch up top, Arsenal have not been keeping many clean sheets at home recently and Fulham are becoming their bogey team

I don't see when you start Milenkovic in the coming weeks. Trippier is being hyped up because of everyone's memory of what he has done in the past but hasn't shown he is worth it. Wouldn't be near most teams if we were having to stretch to a Haaland or third premium
