This evening’s match at the King Power Stadium rounds off Gameweek 31 – and there’s plenty of interest from a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) perspective.

Leicester City v Newcastle United gets underway at 20:00 BST.

There’s been some back-and-forth speculation about Newcastle’s teamsheet on social media and elsewhere on Monday, with many would-be ‘in the knows’ outing themselves as ‘do not knows’.

In the end, it’s nice and simple: the Magpies are unchanged from Gameweek 30.

So Alexander Isak is fit, Kieran Trippier is fit and Joelinton is fit.

Anthony Gordon is not, failing to make even the bench in Leicester. Eddie Howe had revealed he was a significant doubt in his pre-match presser.

The Foxes themselves are as they were for the defeat to Manchester City. Ruud van Nistelrooy has, in fact, named the same team for the fourth Gameweek running.

Isak captainers will be hoping to buck the trend of the most-captained ‘active’ players of Gameweek 31 with a return or two tonight:

PlayerCaptained byPts
Salah5,258,5992
Isak1,269,412?
Palmer490,1661
Marmoush256,5492
Watkins204,4932

The Magpies won 4-0 in the reverse fixture, with Isak returning a double-digit haul at St James’ Park.

LINE-UPS

Leicester City XI: Hermansen, Justin, Faes, Coady, Kristiansen, Thomas, Ndidi, Soumare, Daka, El Khannouss, Vardy.

Subs: Stolarczyk, Okoli, Mavididi, De Cordova-Reid, Ayew, Pereira, Skipp, Buonanotte, Monga.

Newcastle United XI: Pope, Trippier, Schar, Burn, Livramento, Joelinton, Tonali, Guimaraes, Barnes, Murphy, Isak.

Subs: Dubravka, Ruddy, Wilson, Targett, Krafth, Osula, Miley, Longstaff, Neave.

The downfall of Leicester is sad. They've sold so many quality players over the last few years without replacing them.

lol you are deluded. He obviously got a leak saying Saka wasn't starting. Its pure luck Murphy braced. You think he has a crystal ball and predicted a random brace? xD

Murphy may have done well this season, but a brace is so out of the ordinary. A good return for Murphy is an assist every 2 weeks.

Have to sell a Palace Player for a Glasner AM

Was thinking Sarr to Murphy before this game. If a 3 game punt.

Can't afford Gordon. Will probably start Kluivert and bench Mbeumo. Very boring game but should have scored AM was on Frank as I wasn't sure how the derby played out.

We haven't lost an away game since GW7 which was against Forest and first time there were sings as Eze missed an open goal and a one on one

Sarr does better away from home but Mateta and Munoz scored home and away so I think he has to go

Could afford Barnes but I prefer Murphy for minutes

            What are your thoughts mate?

My current 3 Crystal Palace players are Eze, Sarr and Mateta. I'm not happy with Sarr!

If your team looked in decent place and you had 2 free transfers would you sell Sarr so you could get Munoz in for Gabriel? Munoz looking a better assest than Sarr?

    Cheers.

Real gulf in quality between the Prem and Champ now.

Can't see any outcome other than the 3 promoted teams getting relegated again.

Now the likes of Bournemouth, Forest, Everton and Spurs are likely to be well clear of those coming up, you've really only got Wolves to shoot at.

Ii played AM chip and can get a full team out GW34. No . Played it in GW29. Which was the best thing to do but go in Sarr and then Darwin as pints and worked out well. That is luck but I already had no palace Coverage and decided not to WC and BB35.

Forest and Brentford have great fun ind and Brentford won't play on the beach.

I think Arsenal and Liverpool are so I will be able to pick what player I like. A Salah hatrick against Leicester will change everyones minds.

Saka my play twice in GW33 , he may not. Depends on how CL and forest do in GW32.

Gw 33 will have a lot of rotation (maybe less so for Palace and Arsenal
and FH34 will have triple Newcastle anyway. But I think I can scrape through it. But there is less bonus potential in GW34 so I played it this week.

I assume you played your WC. Probably best to stick what you commit too

3 from Isak (c), Gordon no-show and Robinson autosub. I don't think it could have gone much worse. Although it was 100% expected. The 2nd Isak point was a bonus too.

Been a stinking season that's for sure. The football is drab as a spectacle and the lack of quality players in the league makes it very difficult to pick an FPL team.

Not sure what to make of the AM chip. Initially thought it was a really valuable chip (potential 50pts) but hard to actually judge the value given it takes up a slot from a team that likely has a dgw/nice fixture. Not sure it’s as valuable as initially thought

    1. Atimis

Feeling it with Howe Sarr over Glasner Murphy…

    2. Yes Ndidi
      • 6 Years

Possibly it's something that need to be played either around an early double, before the chip season gets underway, or pick a run of singles with decent shout at TB. It should in its current form override all other chips though.

    3. Free Hat
      • 7 Years

Same. Made me miss out on Murphy. Howe got a good return, but still, feels counterproductive not having 3 players in good fixtures.
Think I prefer the use of AM for the upside chasing in difficult fixtures where you dont need 3 players, but unfortunately my playing style is more conservative...

Pick the weeks the potential upside. Should have just stick on Glasner and sold Sarr to Murphy this week.hindsight is a wonderful thing. Sarr plays and scores better away from home is my only worry but has to go

Will do it next week. Punted on Frank this week. Was such a dull game had Mbeumo and should have scored or got an assist. Had Palmer to lol. Only had Hudjsen fit bench player
