Fantasy EFL is into its penultimate Gameweek, and got underway on Thursday night at Lamex Stadium. Here, we go through the Fantasy EFL top scorers in the game, and who they have left to play/

The penultimate Gameweek promises further drama with title races, relegation battles, and play-off spots still undecided. Excitingly, we also have news…

Stay tuned on our website for all the latest news and updates regarding the play-offs.

Macaulay Gillesphey (D) – 333 points

Charlton Athletic’s defensive powerhouse, Gilesphey, leads the Fantasy EFL standings with a remarkable 333 points heading into the final Gameweeks. His stellar season includes five goals and four assists alongside his defensive duties. With crucial matches against promotion-chasing Wrexham (A) and relegation-battling Burton Albion (H) remaining, Gilesphey will be vital for the Addicks in both defence and attack.

Maxime Estève (D) – 317 points

Burnley’s defensive giant is not far off top spot, with a staggering 317 points to his name thanks to his abundance of defensive contributions this season, which has heavily contributed to his side’s success in securing promotion. The Clarets’ defensive giant has been accumulating a remarkable 7.2 points per game.

They take on QPR (A) in Gameweek 38, who have nothing to play for, and Millwall (H) in Gameweek 39. While the Lions have an outside shout at the play-offs, they sit on 29 shutouts and could break Port Vale’s record come the end of the season.

Carl Piergianni (D) – 297 points

Piergianni missed out against Birmingham (H) in Gameweek 38, which may be a slight cause for concern in terms of backing him for the final Gameweeks. Having said this, his considerable hauls throughout the campaign have led to an average of 7.1 points per game. He hasn’t blanked in his previous seven matches (when playing) and will be hoping to return to face Rotherham United (H) on Sunday.

Oliver Casey (D) – 295 points

The number 20 has accumulated a considerable 295 points in Fantasy EFL, with an average of 7.4 per game.

His side takes on Wigan Athletic (A) and Birmingham (H) in Gameweek 38, before facing Bristol Rovers (H) in Gameweek 39. He’s without a blank since Gameweek 12 and has made 73 tackles, 49 blocks and 366 clearances – the third-most in the EFL. Despite only keeping 12 shutouts, he’s been outstanding for Steve Bruce’s side, and has three goals and one assist to his name also.

Eoghan O’Connell (D) – 288 points

Although the centre-back missed last time out, he still sits on 288 points for Wrexham and will be hoping to return on Saturday.

The number five has had a stellar campaign, banking 11 double-digits and making 66 tackles, 310 clearances and 26 blocks. He’s helped them keep 21 shutouts, conceding just 26 goals when he’s featured. Although he hasn’t scored, he has provided two assists and takes on Charlton Athletic (H) in Gameweek 38 in a huge promotion clash, before facing Lincoln City (A) to wrap up the campaign. Back-to-back-to-back promotions could be on the cards, an achievement no other EFL club has managed!

Anthony O’Connor (D) – 288 points

Having already achieved ten double-digit hauls this season, he’s a strong candidate to add to that tally in the remaining fixtures. His first challenge comes against a Notts County side struggling with four games without a win, dropping them into the play-off places. Consequently, he’ll need to be defensively sharp against their dangerous attack. Meanwhile, Morecambe’s relegation was confirmed after their 3-1 loss to Salford City in Gameweek 37, leaving them at the bottom of the table.

Jayden Bogle (D) – 287 points

Enjoying a sensational debut season as a wing-back for Leeds United, Bogle has been a key figure in their promotion back to the Premier League. His outstanding 24-point haul in Double Gameweek 37 exemplifies his recent form. As the campaign concludes with exciting fixtures against Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle, Leeds will be determined to secure more points to fend off Burnley and clinch the Championship title. However, with Bristol City vying for a play-off place and Plymouth fighting to avoid relegation, both matches present significant challenges. He has contributed six goals and five assists to Leeds’ successful season.

Connor Hall (D) – 286 points

A steadfast presence in Darren Moore’s promotion-chasing Port Vale side, their centre-back has remarkably avoided a blank since Gameweek 7. While contributing only one assist, his defensive stats are impressive: 58 tackles, 355 clearances and 28 blocks, along with 17 clean sheets across 42 appearances. Despite some recent defensive wobbles, his strong individual performances have continued. Looking ahead, Port Vale first travel to AFC Wimbledon, who are battling to secure a play-off berth, followed by a home game against a Gillingham side with nothing left to play for. At least one clean sheet bonus across these final two matches seems a distinct possibility.

Max Cleworth (D) – 285 points

Even before O’Connell’s emergence, Wrexham’s number four stood out as a key player for the Red Dragons this season. Contributing seven goals and an assist, he’s also been a defensive rock with 63 tackles, 17 blocks, and 159 clearances, averaging 7.1 points per game. He’ll be crucial in their push for a historic triple promotion.

Mickey Demetriou (D) – 284 points

Rounding out the top 10 is Crewe Alexandra’s standout defender, Mickey Demetriou. Instrumental in their defensive solidity this season, Demetriou consistently amasses significant defensive statistics, averaging an impressive 8.1 points per game, the most of any active player in-game.

With two crucial matches remaining, he has a prime opportunity to deliver a substantial double-digit return for his supporters. First up is an away fixture against Tranmere Rovers, who, despite hovering just above the League Two relegation zone, will undoubtedly pose an attacking threat, offering Demetriou a strong chance to accrue further defensive contributions. This is followed by a home game against promotion-chasing Walsall, who will be highly motivated to secure points.
