The 2024/25 UEFA Champions League (UCL) returns on Tuesday with Matchday 15 – and so does the competition’s official Fantasy game.

Ahead of the deadline, we’ve got a team reveal from Louis (FPL Reactions), our resident European football expert who co-hosts the official UCL Fantasy podcast.

GOALKEEPERS

The best UEFA Champions League Fantasy players for Matchday 3 3

You’ll notice an immediate issue with my goalkeepers. Both Inter’s Yann Sommer (€5.5m) and Barcelona’s Wojciech Szczesny (€4.1m) face each other in the same match. This means I currently have a stopper on only one day, after a failed aggressive play in Matchday 14.

If forced to choose one I may back Sommer, who should rack up plenty of save points. I also don’t particularly want a Barcelona defensive double up heading into this round.

DEFENDERS

UCL Fantasy Matchday 14: FPL Reactions’ team reveal 1

I also have problems in defence, though there’s a great sigh of relief that Paris Saint-Germain duo Nuno Mendes (€5.9m) and Achraf Hakimi (€5.7m) are already in place. Both have been fantastic from an attacking perspective recently and could also be captaincy options on Tuesday.

Also fit and likely to start is Barcelona’s Jules Kounde (€5.6m), who scored in his latest match. I’m not keen on his clean sheet potential, but at least he should play. Opponent Benjamin Pavard (€5.0m) was taken off with an injury in his latest league game, so I imagine he’ll be rested to allow another Inter defender to step in.

If I see that he’s fit, I’ll keep him to prioritise other moves. Bayern’s Kim Min-jae already needs replacing, having exited the competition.

Would you see KdB to Mbuemo to allow Pep AM?

Understand City has good fixtures but with Pep tinkering, would you say Mbuemo will still outperform KdB until end of season ?

The DGW decision will be decided by the Premier League, not by FPL Towers.

Would yo bench Konsa, Milenkovic to play Trippier, Gvardiol, Munoz?

I’m currently on playing Munoz, Livra, Gvardiol and benching Milenkovic and Konate

Seems like there won't a be a dgw 36. It's just two weeks left and no announcement yet

Decision to play BB week 1 cuz of lack of dgws pays off I guess

Ofc there won't be, Oli would've known.

Could still be a dgw without palace though. I know Ur trying to mock as usual but that Glasner thing is obviously an opinion so could still be wrong I guess.

Better than mocking people rating Salahs form over Palmer though. wonder why u aren't blowing that trumpet this week

No one called Palmer rubbish this week yet. Ofc they couldn't after they got him in on their FH. That would be ultimate proof of them being the least brightest candle on the cake.

Haven't had Palmer since gw28, nor on this week's FH. He's still on awful form.

Quadruple Arsenal defense and double attack in CL. What can go wrong?

OK probably saka to bowen then but means benching sarr

Is the decision to transfer out Saka rather than Sarr, for Bowen, a budget one or Saka mins?

Bowen is the better choice imo. Just curious about the decision-making

Worried about saka benching and thought bowen could haul. Can't afford sarr to bowen

        Simple choice - Bowen.

Though personally I wouldn't be getting rid of Saka

I've had double figures bench points in 11 of the last 18 DGWs - including a 24, 26 and 27.

I've not yet played my BB.

On the plus side I guess it means you don't need a double for it to succeed. On the downside I've clearly left it too late and my benching choices are awful.

Gameweek 36 still seems like a strong week for BB
Good fixtures for a lot of cheaper options and the premium picks like Salah Isak Saka can perform against anyone

      2. Tommy Template

I feel like this might be an inevitable consequence of very few premium options. More money spent on the squad rather than the 11 means peoples benches are likely to score more than normal and the decision around who to bench is harder.

Definitely dont need a double for BB.

Personally never use it in a double. I either use it in GW1 to try and get the best start possible, or just aim for a week with generally good fixtures for my team.

Yes it is. Has to be doubtful/marginal likelihood of Wissa outscoring Isak by 4 over the rest of the season.

Are you expecting a big win for Brentford at the weekend?

United's league position is primarily down to their lack of goals, rather than their defence which is roughly on par with Newcastle and Fulham's.

I wouldn't sell Isak at all, let alone for a hit.

Projecting my team forward to the end of the season. I think BB35 is my best bet:
      Raya
      Gvardi Kiwior Milenko
      Salah Murphy Sarr Saka*
      Isak Mateta Marmoush

      Verbruggen Savinho* N.Williams Trippier*

      2FT 2.3ITB.

Players with stars are potential sells.

Currently thinking gamble on Sav as he may have the double.

      Trippier -> O’Brien
      Saka -> Mbeumo?

Then good to play BB? Open to other suggestions. Tah 🙂

      Isak Marmoush, Mateta

      Martinez, Burn, Konsa, Rasford

      1FT 1.3 ITB

      Rival has Mbeumo

      A) Saka> Mbeumo
      B) Rashford> Bowen

      For GW35,

      1) sell Saka / Sarr to buy Mbeumo / Bowen (-4)
      2) sell Saka/ Mateta to buy Mbeumo / Wissa (-4)
      3) only Saka to Mbeumo or Bowen (free trade)
      4) other

already have Isak, Marmoush, Salah, Rogers,
