Gameweek 35 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gets underway at the Etihad Stadium, where there is some interesting team news for both Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Erling Haaland (£14.8m) makes a much-anticipated return to the hosts’ matchday squad, while captaincy candidates Omar Marmoush (£7.6m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£9.4m) both start.

The latter was an unused substitute in last Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final, a victory that Savinho (£6.2m) played most of. However, for the fourth time in five league matches, the Brazilian is named on Man City’s bench. A place where Phil Foden (£9.1m) remains.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Ederson (£5.3m) is back from a hip injury that’s kept him sidelined since Gameweek 32.

Opponents Wolves have won six consecutive league outings but are forced into one change. A slight groin strain rules out centre-forward Jorgen Strand Larsen (£5.4m), replaced by Jean-Ricner Bellegarde (£4.9m).

That means Gameweek 34’s double-digit heroes Matheus Cunha (£7.0m), Rayan Ait-Nouri (£5.0m) and Jose Sa (£4.4m) all start, as expected.

GAMEWEEK 35 LINE-UPS

Manchester City XI: Ederson; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Kovacic, Gundogan; Bernardo, De Bruyne, Doku; Marmoush

Subs: Ortega, Akanji, Lewis, Grealish, Nico, Savinho, Foden, McAtee, Haaland

Wolverhampton Wanderers XI: Sa; Doherty, Agbadou, Toti; Semedo, Joao Gomes, Andre, Ait-Nouri; Munetsi, Bellegarde; Cunha

Subs: Bentley, Bueno, Doyle, Djiga, Sarabia, Hwang, Gomes, Guedes, Lima

Given I accidentally missed deadline, is Saka likely to play, get rested or get limited minutes? Everyone in my league swapped him to mbuemo so praying he doesn’t haul

Savinho... WTF to do with him? I ditched injured Rashford and Saka to get Mbeumo and Bowen. 1.6 itb is not enough to upgrade to KdB and has the train left the building (station)?

I don't know and this is my private thinking only, but KdB and Pep have long term relationship. KdB hasn't been in form earlier, but Pep is human also. I have a feeling that he has given these starts as a possibility for KdB to show that he is still good enough. Do remember tgat Gundo made the return.

I have 7 other attackers. We will prolly get a leak before DL. He has Sou next. Pep isn't happy with 1 goal margin win. He could easily give him start vs Sou.

If Man Utd and Spurs both make the Europa final on Wed 21 May, Man Utd play Chelsea on Fri 16th and Spurs play Villa on Sun 18th. With Man Utd having 42 hours more recovery time to the final, presumably Spurs just completely rotate for the Villa game. Watkins (c) could be the one that GW!

Rather than tinkering, my hope is they ditch it altogether. Also hope they never plan to change the rules mid-season again. Set out the rules at the start of the season - even if they state the chip wouldn't be available until GW20+, that still leaves them having to introduce pricing mid-season. It's a mess.

Thinking of free-hitting next week to take advantage of City and Forest's fixtures. Thoughts?

    Current team:

    Pickford | Verbruggen
    Branthwaite | Kiwior | Livramento | Kerkez | RAN
    Salah | Rogers | Mbeumo | Murphy | Kluivert
    Marmoush | Wood | Isak

Could also be convinced to save until GW37 when Newcastle play at Arsenal and Bournemouth at City, but the other fixtures are kinda meh with Everton playing Southampton and Leicester and Ipswich going against each other.

My defence has done so well this season. I just always got the most attacking defenders who were less than 5 mil. I gained so much value from it too.
