General Gameweek 36

I almost achieved the elusive grey arrow in Gameweek 35! The troops ended up on a tiny red arrow, dropping from 25,153 to 25,334. Hopefully, that’s the last red one for the remainder of the campaign. 

The transfer was rolled so there are now two available for the upcoming round of fixtures. The armband went to Bryan Mbeumo (£8.2m) in the end, having contemplated going with Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m) or Omar Marmoush (£7.6m) on the Friday night.

Double Arsenal defence and triple Crystal Palace let the side down. The Palace guys, in particular, are on the chopping block this week with the FA Cup final around the corner.

      BCA for me

      Spurs have a mid-week game involving a 2400 mile round trip. I doubt they'll be at their best.

      Murphy probably gets the least minutes too.

    I really want Cunha for the last 3 but KDB vs Southampton is very tempting. Maybe it’s worth -4 to get both?

      I don't mind the minus four for Cunha and KdB
      I expect though that whichever striker you are taking out (Mateta I expect) will probably score. Just need Cunha to score twice, which he could.

      I think it might be on the basis if Haaland starts and unclear how Pep will fit in Haaland/Marmoush/KDB. I don't think Pep has started all 3 before, it's been Haaland/Marmoush or Marmoush/KDB

    2FTs. Which is the better option? I personally prefer A but not sure if its the right option!
    (A) Take a -4 and get Neco Williams + KDB + Wissa for Dias, Murphy & Mateta
    (B) Dun take a hit and get Bowen and Wissa for Murphy & Mateta

    Regarding Spurs v Palace according to Sofascore: Last time Crystal Palace has won at Spurs was a 2016 in FA cup tie.

    On Premier league last time Crystal Palace has won at Spurs was in 1997...
    (Crystal Palace did spent quite a bit of time in the Championship after 2004-2005 season)

    15 matches (between 1994 - 2024)

    10 wins for Tottenham at home
    3 draws
    2 wins for Crystal Palace away

    Goals average: TOT 1.47 - CRY 0.33

    And suddenly now i am second guessing whether to keep Sarr & Mateta...

    If Murillo is out I'll have to use my FT this week to get in another defender, but strugling to see the good pick. Any good shouts? Have considered just bringing in Aina or Milenkovic, but a boring move. Ruben Dias another option to double on City.
