Mohamed Salah (£14.5m) or no Salah? Salah and Erling Haaland (£14.0m)? Salah and Cole Palmer (£10.5m)?

Why not have all three?! Costing a whopping £39m, it’s not easy to fit them into a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) squad.

However, it could be worth it; the trio scored 739 Fantasy points between them last season, and that’s with Palmer and Haaland having significant patches of poor form.

In this article, I’ll talk through a hypothetical ‘threemium’ FPL draft and weigh up the pros and cons of such an approach.

‘THREEMIUM’ DRAFT

As a non-Salah, non-Haaland draft, what do you think? I have no plans to play chips in the first 5 gameweeks.

    Raya
    RAN Mykolenko AWB
    Palmer Saka Gakpo Ndiaye
    Isak* Gyokeres Bowen

    4.0 4.5 Senesi Heaven

If Isak is fit and moves to Liverpool asap. If not, I’ll go J.Pedro and bank the money.

Wirtz instead of Gakpo, and downgrade either Raya or Mykolenko.

I have Mykolenko, but I'm worried after reading that Tarkowski is injured. Would you rather double up on NFO defense?

I'm considering just that, or some suitable 4.5 defender in order to upgrade Enzo.

I'm avoiding Everton at the start. It's rinse repeat. Will happily head there autumn time, particukar when other premiums get into Europe etc.

Tark/Bran may be 5ish by then!

Diego Coppola (£4.5m) is one to watch. 6"4 Italy international, scored twice in Serie A last season and has already scored a header for Brighton in preseason.
    Average CBIT per 90 = 11.57

    Current 15

    Kelleher (4m)
Van Dijk Wan Bissaka Van de Ven (Mykolenko Esteve)
    Salah Wirtz Rogers Reijnders Ndiaye
    Isak Welbeck (Larsen)

    2m itb

    Thoughts?

    RMT?

    Sels (Kinsky)
    Cucurella Aina AWB (Esteve Guehi)
    Mitoma Palmer Ndiaye Salah Wirtz
    Solanke Welbeck (Strand-Larsen)

Very much undecided still, but I think Brighton are usually in the habit of starting the season strongly, particularly mitoma. Feel like strikers are good to have for fixture rotation until one of the premium strikers becomes clearly good value. Or should I be downgrading one of the forwards to improve on Mitoma? Is Wirtz honestly a trap?

      or other option is:

Is Anderson at 5.5m the best pick to start the season ? Good fixtures, DC and the odd goal/assist. Are Malen/Reijnders possibly more exciting better picks ?

    1. LangerznMash
      • 10 Years
      1 year, 1 month ago

Anderson is probably the safest pick followed by Dan James.
Malen could be a hidden gem if he nails down Villa's RW spot. Looked good in preseason and scored 13 goals in only 1784 mins in 2034/24 (playing right wing).

    2. luk46
      • 8 Years
      1 year, 1 month ago

it‘s a question of how much risk you wanna take - anderson is steady 5 points ceiling with the odd return, malen looks good if first choice with their fixtures and reijnders is wait and see but could be great value if hes nailed which is impossible to call imo

Speaking in Hong Kong on Tuesday before Spurs face Arsenal in a pre-season friendly on Thursday, Frank said: “Destiny got a knee injury that we're assessing at the moment that just kept him out for this pre-season tour. When we know more, we'll update more."

    Verbruggen - (Kelleher)
Udogie - AWB - Neco Williams - (Guehi - De Cuyper)
    Cunha - Rogers - Wirtz - Mitoma - Palmer
Raúl - Haaland - (Strand Larsen)

I'm assuming that Cunha will actually play up front for United, or certainly an advanced role, unless they sign a striker.

Think I've had every player possible come through my team in the past week.

Thought so . Question is what are the chances of him going and is it worth him moving , probably guaranteed 90 mins a game at Leeds instead of sharing game time with Raul .

Did that last season. Haaland scored 10 in his opening 5 or something and then City played Southampton at home. Haaland was very poor - as was the whole of City's attack - and was lucky to get away with 1 goal. Terrible FH choice as my original Salah team did much better.

How nailed will Kudus be? Could be relatively safe, assuming Spurs sell Son, employ Johnson at LW and Kudus at RW.
