Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has grown from esoteric diversion to mainstream hobby over the 20+ years of its existence.

Now the game is everywhere, from newspaper columns to sports TV channels.

From 76,000 managers in 2002/03 to 11.5 million last season, the rise in interest has seen some famous names take a shine to FPL.

One of the most recognisable faces is snooker’s Neil Robertson, the current world number eight.

And ‘The Thunder from Down Under’ has been good enough to share his first draft for FPL 2025/26 with us! Our thanks go to him.

The 2010 World Champion has built a team with the proviso that Alexander Isak (£10.5m) secures his long-touted move to Liverpool, which sounds like it will be contingent on Newcastle United bagging a replacement.

Who is the best pick at 5m in mid, and 7.5m up top? At the moment im on this with Sarr/Wood but unsure on the pair of them currently.

    Sanchez
    VVD - Konsa - Neco
    Wirtz - Salah - Palmer - Rogers - Sarr
    Gyokeres - Wood

Perri - Rodon - De Cuyper - Guiu

Im currently favouring Mateta as the pick of the 7.5m fwds.

5.5 mid bracket for me is between Adingra, Anderson & Reijnders. Tonali could be the dark horse.

      Wood hands down up top.

You mean 6.5m mids right? I'm thinking about Rice, Cherki, Kudus atm.

I think he means Sarr from Spurs and 5 mil mids.

Neil Robertson! Will it be a well loved Eastenders star next?

If we have right now in the team Wirtz/VVD/Salah + Isak for example, and Isak move to the Liverpool, that means that we can play with 4 players from Liverpool right?

Correct. And first time you go to make a transfer, you’ll have to drop one.

Throw in Guehi too and you may have 5 Liverpool players.

Thoughts on this GW1 BB team that doesn't necessarily need wildcarding after?

    Sanchez Areola
    VVD Neco VDV AWB Rodon
    Salah Palmer Rogers Ndiaye Kudus
    Wood Bowen Welbeck

Nice team, I'm looking at something similar. Not sure about the double WHam defence though.

Any Chelsea fans able to provide insight on where Enzo will play this season? Was occupying the #10 position in the CWC and got 4 attacking returns

if you ask Neil Robertson, he'll probably say Enzo is a Blue... so he'll start in the centre ... 🙂

La Croix, but if budget tight Richards defcon per 90 is over 10.

Lacroix is worth the extra 0.5m imo but Richards is also a good player to own if you invest that money wisely elsewhere.

completely depends on how badly you need the 0.5m. Lacroix is better but Richards is one of the best 4.5m options based on last year's data

So, daft answer as Richards is the same... but Lacroix anyway. I think more assurity of minutes.

here's today's "no premium defenders" draft. could do something like Bowen/AWB to JSL/Virgil for balance but I really don't know if that's the better play

    Sanchez (4.0)
    Richards, Andersen, VDV, AWB, Rodon
    Salah, Palmer, Wirtz, Eze, Mitoma
    Watkins, Bowen (4.5)

The spurs front 3 is so bad imo, you wouldn’t think we have champions league football this season. Where do you think Spurs’ front 3 is compared to the rest of the league? I’d say teams like West Ham probably have a better forward line.

Can’t believe so many people have Solanke in their teams.

If spurs don’t sign a left winger and forward, it’s going to be miserable.

I think it's a very good front 3 personally and Solanke is a very good striker when fit

Solanke is the same level as Hojlund. The guy had one good season. He will be lucky if he scores 12+ goals this season. Not sure why you think he is great. He is trash imo

My biggest concern is the injury. He is in my current draft. Frank focuses on creating big chances for his forwards, which is partly why Wissa and Mbeumo did so well for FPL points. With Son going a good chance of pens too.

A for me! Bruno beasting it in a rebounding Utd team, Evanilson consistently scoring in a pretty attacking side, Lacroix with strong attacking numbers and some DCs chucked in for good measure.

    Raya
    VVD-Colwill-Konsa
    Salah(C)-Palmer(V)-Sarr-Rogers
    Bowen-Solanke-Evanilson

    B: Kelleher, Udogie, DeCuyper, A.Ramsay

Stopped reading after “Wirtz & Isak can cover Salah nicely”.

No such thing as cover, every player scores points for themselves.

Cover to an extend works for defenders where clean sheet points are awarded to the whole formation but offensive players are all working on their scores individually.

Started last season with a very cheap defence and it worked wonders, leading to my best ever finish, may do the same again!

    Watkins Wood
