FANTASY EFL DOUBLE GAMEWEEK 3: SCOUT PICKS

Goalkeeper

Backed by four of the five experts as the number one goalkeeper pick, Josh Keeley (G) returns to our side.

The number 24 has kept consecutive shutouts for Luton Town, totalling 14 points. He faces Bradford City (A) and Wigan Athletic (H) in ‘DGW3’.

The Bantams are also unbeaten, but failed to lose last time out against Northampton Town (A). However, their impressive home record last season – winning 17 of 23 games – means Keeley should be in for save points.

Conversely, the Latics scored just 20 goals on the road last season, and lost 2-0 last time out to Leyton Orient (A).

Defenders

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 2: Scout Notes 2

Carl Piergianni (D) has helped Stevenage to consecutive wins in League One, picking up 14 points.

Last time out, he banked 10 points in their 2-0 win over Rotherham (H), and faces Northampton Town and Port Vale (A). With 29 clearances already to his name, this number is likely to continue ballooning.

Mickey Demetriou (D) registered his first double-digit haul of the season last time out against Accrington Stanley (H), helping them win 2-0.

They’ve won back-to-back games and face Crawley Town (H) and Fleetwood Town (A). Crawley have scored just one goal and lost two, while Fleetwood have also won back-to-back games. At least one shutout and clearances are expected at a minimum.

Completing the defence, Jack Sanders (D) is backed by just 2.4%, despite recording consecutive 10-pointers for MK Dons.

The Dons are yet to concede, and in the process, he’s made 23 clearances and further defensive returns.

They face Cheltenham Town (H) and Crawley (A), who have scored just one goal between them in four matches.

Midfielders

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 1: Scout notes 1

Davis Keillor-Dunn (M) continues to dominate Fantasy EFL conversations and wears the armband in our side.

The “midfielder” playing up front has two goals (+12) in two games for Barnsley, helping them to a perfect start under Conor Hourihane. He went one better in Gameweek 2 and picked up 12 points against Burton Albion (H), following his 11-pointer against Plymouth Argyle (A).

The Tykes face Bolton Wanderers (H) and Peterborough United (A). The latter continues to look defensively shaky, having lost both of their opening games.

Looking at the upside of another out-of-position asset, Jaze Kabia (M) continues to lead the line for Grimsby Town and has two in two for the Mariners.

Notably, he continued his impressive record, scoring from the penalty spot in the Carabao Cup against Shrewsbury Town (H).

Dave Artell’s side face Newport County (H) and Walsall (A). They’ve scored six goals in two, and Kabia is central to the attack.

Forward

Up top, Huddersfield Town’s Alfie May (F) was backed by all experts and returns to our seven.

The talisman opened his goalscoring account in Gameweek 1 (+5) from the penalty spot, which adds upside to his appeal.

The Terriers are yet to concede, and have scored five goals in the process.

They face Blackpool (A) and Doncaster Rovers (H), and May will be licking his lips at the prospect of playing against a porous Doncaster defence that has already shipped seven goals – the most in the EFL.

With a history of scoring at Bloomfield Road, he’s a player to watch.

Double Gameweek 3 Scout Picks: Club picks

Mirroring our May selection, four experts backed Huddersfield Town as their standout option.

Lee Grant’s start to life at Accu Stadium couldn’t have gone better: five goals, zero conceded.

The Terriers have scored an impressive 20 points, the most of any club in the league.

They’re expected to continue this strong performance at Bloomfield Road with another emphatic victory. Although the home fixture against Doncaster will be more challenging, experts predict the Terriers will secure their fourth consecutive win in League One, strengthening their bid for the title.

Completing our IX, MK Dons are also unbeaten under Paul Warne, and recorded their first win last time out.

Both Cheltenham and Crawley are currently in a slump, struggling to find the back of the net while simultaneously leaking goals.

Coupled with the Dons’ decent start, two wins look inevitable.

If both sides haul, 56 points are up for grabs.
