Gameweek 4 Captaincy Poll: The top selection

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 4: Scout picks 2

Unsurprisingly, given his top form, WBA’s Isaac Price (M) has emerged as the leading captaincy option by a narrow margin, backed by 15% of voters.

The number 21 has scored 30 points in just two matches for the Baggies, netting three of their four goals (+18) in that time, helping them secure back-to-back wins.

He’s also capitalised on the new shots on target rule, with five of his seven shots hitting the mark (+5).

With two straight wins, Ryan Mason’s side are favoured to beat Portsmouth (H) in Gameweek 4.

This is an ideal matchup for Price, as Pompey’s defence was among the worst on the road last season, conceding 50 of their 71 goals.

Second place

Given his status as the highest-scoring asset in Fantasy EFL, MK Dons’ Jack Sanders (D) was a predictable inclusion. He received 12% of the votes, trailing Price by a narrow margin.

We’ve seen numbers from Sanders like never before, scoring 48 points in his first four run-outs.

In a stellar performance during Double Gameweek 3, he hauled in 28 points. This included a massive 26 clearances in their 1-1 draw against Crawley Town (A).

The Dons have made a strong start, undefeated in four under Paul Warne. They take on Newport County (A), who have lost their previous two games, scoring just four in four.

He’s selected by 17%, as his stock continues to rise.

Third place

Colchester United’s Jack Tucker (D) has also made a strong impression, earning 11% of the votes, owned by 4.5% of managers.

Averaging 8.8 points, the centre-back is yet to blank for the U’s, having recorded two 10+ hauls. Despite keeping just one shutout, he has made 51 clearances and also has two goal involvements (+10).

Danny Cowley’s side face Barrow (H), who have scored just two goals in four, losing three of those.

With the potential to score points at both ends of the pitch, Tucker is a compelling option.

The 6% club

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 4: Scout picks 1

Two names came joint-fourth for votes this week: Barnsley’s Davis Keillor-Dunn (M) and Birmingham City’s Jay Stansfield (F).

After a brilliant start to the season with 23 points in his first two games, ‘DKD’ cooled off during Double Gameweek 3, earning only seven points across two matches.

Still, he remains a solid option for the upcoming game against AFC Wimbledon, who have lost two of their four games so far. Meanwhile, the Tykes have won three of their first four.

However, with other options available, we feel there are stronger candidates.

Stansfield has two goals in two for the Blues, totalling 16 points. The League One record signing faces Oxford United (H), who have lost both of their opening games.

Many expect the Blues to extend their incredible 26-game unbeaten streak at St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park. Stansfield is a top choice this week.
