It’s team reveal time as we count down to Gameweek 3 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Next up, Tom Hadley, a one-time FPL world number one who is the newest addition to our ever-growing team of contributors. He’ll be providing plenty of data-driven articles throughout the season.

Two weeks into the FPL season, we’re already hitting the chaos button. But perhaps what we need right now is a little calm.

For myself, sitting around the seven million mark is uncharted territory, something I never thought I’d say. The urge to panic and make somewhat impulsive decisions is very strong, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this.

However, in reality, I don’t hate my team at all. And its upcoming fixture run still looks very good. The plan, since pre-season, has been to hold the majority of them until Gameweek 8’s Wildcard and that hasn’t really changed.

Besides, if I were to activate the chip now, I don’t think there are enough assets to confidently pursue. We are always one good Gameweek away from an entirely different FPL perspective, and I’m hoping this is the case with my lot.

Unpredictable injuries can’t be accounted for when planning and, of course, it isn’t ideal when the team itself is struggling. But perhaps rectifying injuries rather than making hasty moves on underperformers is a good thing, as it prevents a scenario where I sell a player right before his haul.

I own both Bukayo Saka (£9.9m) and Cole Palmer (£10.4m), with both out for at least one league match. Armed with two free transfers, I have a few possible ways to deal with this issue.

Far from being confident but bought ISarr and Kudus last night, waiting for all the other mid priced mids to punish!
