Fantasy EFL Gameweek 6 gets underway on Saturday afternoon, so there is not long left to finalise our 7+2’s.

This is a Blank Gameweek for all Championship sides, with four League One matches also called off due to the international break. With this limited range of players in mind, here are our final Scout Picks.

After careful consideration of the Scout Squad submissions from Lewis (EFL Editor), FPL Reactions, plus contributors Danny, Dan Dave and Merlins, we finalised our selections.

These picks are based on the highest-selected players from our resident experts.

Fantasy EFL Gameweek 6: Scout Picks

Goalkeeper

We have opted for Jake Eastwood (G) between the sticks for Gameweek 6. The Cambridge United shot-stopper has a strong chance to register his third clean sheet of the season this weekend against Oldham Athletic (H).

The newly-promoted Latics have a mere three goals in six fixtures so far, making Eastwood a strong selection.

Defenders

Joe Low (D) has four clean sheets in six games and continues to be Huddersfield Town’s best defensive contributor. His 7.5 Fantasy point average speaks for itself as he vice-captains this side.

His Gameweek 6 opponents, Peterborough United (H), have scored just twice across all six league games this season.

Undoubtedly, the most consistent defender to start the season, Jack Sanders (D), once again takes residence in our back line. His 97 clearances lead the EFL and have heavily contributed to his EFL-high 62 Fantasy points.

Despite Grimsby Town’s (H) offensive proficiency, multiple defensive contributions are expected for Sanders.

Midfielders

Unanimously selected by our experts, Amario Cozier-Duberry (M) captains our side. The 20-year-old’s dazzling displays recently have not gone unnoticed, as he is selected by 10.1% of managers and counting.

He averages 6.7 Fantasy points through a combination of assists, interceptions, key passes and shots on target.

Newly-promoted AFC Wimbledon (H) will have a very difficult time containing the dynamic midfielder.

Ben Wiles (M) has been equally consistent to start the season, averaging 6.8 Fantasy points himself. Huddersfield Town’s main man has three goal involvements (+13) and four interceptions (+8) so far.

The Posh have let in 11 goals already, the second-worst record in the division.

Cambridge United’s James Brophy (M) was also a popular shout and earns a place in our Scout Picks. He is one of just five available midfielders to score three or more goals already this season and now faces Oldham Athletic.

The Latics have not won a single game so far this campaign and Brophy is in a prime position to capitalise.

Forward

We have gone for a 1-3-2-1 formation, meaning our sole striker is Matthew Dennis (F). The Notts County summer signing has 39 Fantasy points through his last three games alone.

His five goals (+25) and three assists (+9) in six games make him an undeniably elite Fantasy pick.

Fleetwood Town (H) are a side that struggled hugely on the road last season, conceding 39 goals in 23 games.

Club Picks

Huddersfield Town are an obvious club selection this Gameweek as they face 24th-placed Peterborough. The Terriers have three wins in three home games this season, keeping clean sheets in each of them.

The Posh meanwhile have lost all three away games and conceded 2+ goals in each. There is no reason not to select Huddersfield in Gameweek 6.

Bolton Wanderers are our second-best club pick. The Trotters have only lost once so far this season and face off against a Wimbledon side who finished fifth in League Two last year.

The Dons have lost two of their three away games this campaign, conceding five goals across these fixtures.
