Minutes played + late returns: Every FPL player on international duty

The September international break reached its conclusion in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Well over 200 Premier League players have been representing their countries over the last week.

In this piece, we tot up how many minutes each FPL asset clocked up while on duty. Amassed game-time is sometimes a factor after an international break, although as we’re still in the early stages of 2025/26, ‘fatigue’ is probably not going to be as big a deal as it will be later in the campaign.

A follow-up article will round up all the injury scares that have emerged ahead of Gameweek 4.

The game-time compilation is now automated thanks to his wizardry, with the subsequent tables coming from Datawrapper.

With this being a relatively new process of logging the game-time, let us know below if you spot anything untoward.

ANY LATE RETURNEES?

Players from non-European countries are often the last ones back through the door at their respective clubs, which raises concerns about their availability for the upcoming Gameweek.

While those concerns frequently amount to nothing, there are occasions where international exertions have been a factor. 

As usual, there were some international fixtures taking place in the Americas in the early hours of next Wednesday morning:

    Have an interesting dilemma in the 5th mid spot.

    I could cheap out on King which looks a sensible pick at 4.5 or, spend the .5 more for Dewsburry-Hall who has also emerged as an intriguing option, or, find a bit more funds for Paqueta. I know it's West Ham but he is more central to what they do than the others and is rightly a touch more expensive.

      The current WC template seems to be 13 decent outfield players, with lots of points likely to be sitting on peoples benches.

      It's worth considering how you'd get to a Palmer / Saka / Isak in a couple of weeks time. I think that a 4.0 def + 1 cheap Mid or For will save transfers down the line, so if you want 3 decent forwards, go with King as a set and forget (swallowing price drops if he loses his place). If you don't mind a cheap forward, go Paqueta.

      Kind of also depends on whether you've BB'd or not - If you still need to use it, I wouldn't go King.

    Wasnt sure whether to have Elliott over Paqueta due to slightly better fixtures, but on the other hand Paqueta roatates quite well with Grealish. If did go Elliott gives me 0.5 to upgrade Andersen to O'Brien or Burn

      I have gone Elliot over Paq but it’s close and Paw is a bit safer and DC, pens and all that. If you do end up saving .5 I think there are probably better options than Burn with some of the fixtures not too far away.

    I personally think rotating Paqueta and Grealish is a bad idea. You’re going to lose out on some points.

    You might as well swap out Grealish for Dewsbury Hall if you’re planning to rotate and save 1.7m.

    Squad looks good though.

        Does the logic make sense here?

        If you're rotating players surely you want to be playing the strongest possible player in the fixture. I think Grealish outscores KDH over the season.

        But yeah, point taken. Points will be benched!

      Were random spot checks carried out on the international minutes played or did scout just do what it normally does: publish first, ask questions later?

      The state of the members area which we are paying to access is a disgrace. I wouldn't blame people for jumping ship to Hub especially when they have exclusive Ben Crellin team reveals.

      Even more of a disgrace is that no one is responding to the support@ emails about this.

      Now I know why that mod so publicly resigned. Anyone who knows anything about website development knows that it is unfathomable to make changes to a website without testing it first.

          This is a new low though. The members area is literally broken and no one is bothered. In fact they are giving away 14 day free trials for people to "enjoy" it without charge.

          You always test website changes before publishing them. I just can't get my head around it.
