Still take gyok out, stopping him from getting to the ball. His touch is not significant enough to clear the ball

why do people even think that can be a pen when pope got the ball first? truly going towards a non contact sport at this point

The ball glances his toe in an awkward challenges on Gyokeres’ knee. They’ve dissected it in slow motion to find that silly little excuse not to give it. It’s a penalty all day, especially as it was given by the referee already.

Just adds to the list of the weird decisions I’m afraid. PGMOL have an awful reputation.

The goalkeeper “gets a toe on the ball”.

Awful awful decision. The referees have had a nightmare all gameweek.

what’s interesting is that Saka clearly grabbed the ball to take it.

without pens I think 9m might be expensive for Gyok compared to Saka at 9.8m - only pens and talisman

Noticed this but I still think gyo is the pen taker it was decided before the season

I always assumed Saka still had pens anyway, don’t see why a new signing would take them off him.

Would be like Joao Pedro taking pens off Palmer or Sesko/Mbeumo/Cunha taking them off Bruno, never gonna happen.

Grabs it and then he gives it to someone else. Arsenal do it all the time. Saka/Gyokeres will rotate though.

Saka had hold of the ball and looked like he was going to take the pen which is interesting. Of course he may well have passed it to Gyokeres.

I thought it was a penalty still

Gyok would have got to the ball for a shot regardless of the slight touch from Pope on the ball

The knee was more of an impediment
