Leeds v West Ham team news: Darlow + Stach benched, Diouf starts

Gameweek 9 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) gets underway at Elland Road, where Leeds United and West Ham United meet in a 20:00 BST kick-off.

TEAM NEWS

Daniel Farke makes four changes to his Leeds side.

Lucas Perri, Jaka Bijol, Ao Tanaka and Noah Okafor come in, while Karl Darlow, Pascal Struijk, Anton Stach and Jack Harrison drop to the bench.

As for West Ham, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and El Hadji Malick Diouf are both handed recalls.

They replace Kyle Walker-Peters and Mateus Fernandes, who are named among the substitutes.

The line-up suggests Nuno Espirito Santo will use a back three formation, which is the system West Ham used in the second half against Brentford on Monday.

      If Rodon was gonna be benched and stay on the bench then it’s a success already. If it ends up that he would have come on as a sub, then it might well turn out to be a letdown

        This is true. But it's still a great 13 points.

        Rodon could have got 2 and Gabriel misses out and it's a clear disaster

        The 13 points has kinda insulated me from gabriel np show and potential for other bb players to fail

    That goal against just cost me 150k places in the OR. Never mind!

    Is there a way to check where Rodon is on people's benches in the game? i.e. the average across the whole game on a site like Live FPL etc? I basically want to know how many people have him first on the bench. I played him but a lot of my ML rivals that have him, which is not many, have him last on the bench.

      He is good with his head and WHU are weak from set pieces..... that isn't lucky, it is looking at the stats. This is why I played him.

        I made my one free transfer earlier this week, then this morning I decided to use my Free Hit. I assumed the player I had bought earlier in the week would remain in my squad next week and all the subsequent transfers I made AFTER playing the Free Hit would be gone next week.

        So not only this, but I've also lost the free transfer now? Why don't I have 2 free transfers next week instead of 1?

          Doesn't matter when you play the FH, it undoes all transfers you made that week.
          You don't gain an extra transfer the week you FH, same with the WC.

          The trick to playing Rodon this week is to not have a good team where you can afford to bench him. That’s what I did.

          (Also played DCL and Kilman tho)

              Thanks.
              The only week I'll play DCL is BB11 and then perma bench (maybe downgrade further when I get the chance).
              I think Ndiaye and Rice look good value, they have multiple routes to points. Could get Sarr instead ?
              Petrovic to Pope makes sense, Bruno to Mbeumo would give me enough for that.
