Man City v Liverpool team news: Cherki starts, Reijnders + Gakpo subs

Sunday’s 16:30 GMT kick-off is set to be a big one for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers, with Gameweek 11’s most-captained player Erling Haaland in action against Liverpool.

TEAM NEWS

Pep Guardiola makes three changes to the side that started the 4-1 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund.

John Stones, Tijjani Reijnders and Savinho drop to the bench, with Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Rayan Cherki coming into the starting XI.

Liverpool are unchanged from the midweek win over Real Madrid, which means Florian Wirtz keeps his place in front of Cody Gakpo.

Alexander Isak is named among the substitutes.

    I have Dubravka as sub if/when Mamardashvili loses his spot to Alisson which might be immediately after the IB.

        I hate the idea of a non playing third forward and I’ve never done it that I can recall in 15 years or more playing the game.

        To me Thiago is a great pick at the price he is as am more than happy to rotate with a DC cheap def.

        depends on the threshold, as during IB some get trigger happy, but he very well could surge based on yesterday. He also could get injured on England duty.

        Comfortably the best defensive numbers in the league. Definitely a viable choice, though far from a "must" . Probably depends on team structure, transfer plans, chip strategy, etc.

        It's good. What does it look like without Pool players, a Arsenal defender or two or one with Raya? Not fond of double Villa defence. Try a 4m ish defender for one and go again.

        Own 6 out of that front 7 with Sarr instead of Xhaka. I would get an Arsenal defender, Tuanzebe instead of Pau/Senesi to make some more cash if necessary. Have owned Minteh since GW5. He's good value and saves you a transfer etc but is no different to say a 5.5 defender. Think about getting a Calafiori/Munoz/LaCroix instead of Minteh but it means playing 4 or 5 defs which can be quite boring.
