NOTES
- I finally have two free transfers available, and with the first half of the season coming to a close, I can now be more aggressive in how I use them.
- My current plan is to Free Hit in GW16, as four blank fixtures are simply too difficult to navigate – especially with most of the big hitters coming from Inter and Milan.
- I then intend to use my first Wildcard in its final available slot in GW19, which should set me up perfectly for the Double Gameweek in GW21. All of this shapes the approach for my current squad with just four Gameweeks left to manage.
- My next move is to bring in a Roma defender. They continue to register plenty of clean sheets and also have a very favourable run of fixtures. However, upgrading Filippo Terracciano to Wesley leaves me with very little budget, particularly as I still need to replace the injured Domenico Berardi. My preferred option would be Manu Koné from Roma, but I’m frustratingly 0.1m short. As a result, I’ll have to settle for Perrone from Como instead.
- The fixtures against Inter and Roma aren’t ideal, but as a defensive midfielder, Perrone still has a strong chance of returning 5-6 points even in tougher matchups – and that’s all I really need from him.

- My planned GW13 move to replace Luka Modrić with Christian Pulisic will go ahead this week, provided the American is fit for AC Milan’s clash with Torino. Berardi is also set to be moved on, with reports suggesting the Sassuolo midfielder will be sidelined with injury until the New Year.
- One of Medon Berisha or Alexis Saelemaekers will come in as Berardi’s replacement. Meanwhile, the out-of-favour Albert Guðmundsson is also likely to be transferred out if Pulisic is unavailable again this week.
- In that scenario, the Fiorentina forward would make way for his teammate Moise Kean, who I’m tempted to punt on ahead of a run of winnable – and potentially must-win – fixtures for Fiorentina.

- Another week in Serie A brings another injury to my squad – no surprises.
- Berardi misses the next few weeks, so I will sell him immediately. This transfer ties directly into my chip strategy.
- I already used my Wildcard, so I now target players who double in GW21. Ylber Ramadani, Riccardo Orsolini and Hakan Çalhanoğlu lead my shortlist.

- I have two free transfers this week, and although I would like to replace Francesco Camarda, I think that can wait one more week at least.
- Most of my focus will be on midfield, as I think this is the most important position.
- With the return of Pulisic, I’ll be straight-swapping him in for teammate Modric, who has been extremely disappointing.
- With my other transfer, I’ll have to replace the injured Berardi. Number one on my list is Lecce’s Medon Berisha, who costs just €5.4m. I want to go cheap here because I’ll need money to make an upgrade on either Camarda or my defence long-term.
- I still have all of my chips left as well, so I’m not concerned with the recently announced blank and Double Gameweeks.
