Brighton v West Ham team news: Welbeck + Paqueta recalled, Wilson benched

The first of two Premier League matches to be contested on Sunday takes place at the Amex Stadium.

West Ham United are the visitors to Brighton and Hove Albion, with the match set to kick off at 14:00 GMT.

TEAM NEWS

Nuno Espirito Santo makes four changes to the West Ham side that drew with Manchester United.

Max Kilman, Guido Rodriguez, Crysencio Summerville and Lucas Paqueta, who returns from suspension, are brought in.

Soungoutou Magassa, Freddie Potts, Tomas Soucek and Callum Wilson drop to the bench.

Brighton have reinstated Danny Welbeck to their starting XI.

The injured Stefanos Tzimas makes away.

Fabian Hurzeler’s one other change sees Georginio Rutter come in for Brajan Gruda, who is named among the substitutes.

There is still no Yasin Ayari or Kaoru Mitoma, however.

    After this gameweek I’m going to pick midfielders just for DEFCONs and be done with it

    Pointless owning the likes of Minteh when a player can hoover up DEFCONs, get a clean sheet and basically have a points floor of an assist every game

      Yeah, it's either defcon specialists or players with direct goal threat. As things stand, assists are neither reliable nor highly rewarded. Not easy to justify picks like Minteh (Kudus would be another example) .

      Depends what you want. Raya is probably going to finish top due to Arsenal’s defence keeping CS. He’s also the cheapest way into Arsenal’s defence for nailed-ness.

      Roefs is probably the best low priced option and probably the best value keeper of them all, but Mukiele and Alderette are both cheaper, so unless people are doubling up on Sunderland defence then he’s not the most popular choice.

      Donnaruma is good too, and nailed on.

      Pickford is good but Everton defenders like Tark and Keane are cheaper and better value.

      Henderson is good too but the Palace defenders are better value, which kind of stops Hendo being a popular pick.

      The rest are really much of a muchness.

      I think with Gabriel out, Raya makes the most sense with Dubravka as the £4m playing back up.
