Gameweek 11 arrives with momentum building across WSL Fantasy. This week, injuries, rotations and standout form all shape the landscape, making every transfer call more important than ever.

In this article, @Schurrle_FWSL breaks down his Gameweek 11 team reveal, the key decisions behind it and the players who look best placed to deliver returns.

TEAM REVEAL

We head straight into Gameweek 11 with a rapid turnaround and a Thursday deadline that opens the long-awaited double for Liverpool and Aston Villa. I scored 69 points in Gameweek 10, helped by a fortunate nin-pointer from Olsson off the bench and a strong captain haul from Bunny Shaw, which pushed me back inside the top 100.

With one final deadline before the month-long winter break – and the unlimited transfers that follow – here’s how I’m planning to set up my Bench Boost squad:

GOALKEEPERS

A second goalkeeper transfer in as many weeks brings Anneke Borbe into my XI after Arsenal confirmed Daphne van Domselaar will miss the rest of 2025.

With the Bench Boost active, she partners Kinga Szemik, who has an appealing home fixture against Liverpool. The West Ham keeper has hit the visionary threshold for consecutive weeks thanks to her save numbers, and I’m backing her to reach three saves or more again.

DEFENDERS

Kerstin Casparij continued her remarkable run with another clean sheet on Sunday. She has been the standout defender in the game by a distance, sitting thirteen points clear of the next best, and a home fixture against Villa gives her every chance of extending that lead.

Anna Sandberg and Wassa Sangaré are locked into my team for the deadline. Sandberg has been exceptional for United at both ends of the pitch, leading all defenders for xGI and already producing three attacking returns. Sangaré carries real attacking threat too, especially from set plays aimed at her front-post runs – a pattern that has delivered two assists in her last three matches. Leicester away also offers decent clean-sheet potential.

Katie McCabe is the first defender likely to make way. Sunday’s benching followed by 90 minutes in the Champions League makes me uneasy about her minutes, especially given Arsenal’s habit of making early substitutions. She would join Oceane Deslandes on the chopping block after the Wolves defender’s red card leaves her suspended for the first half of Villa’s double – and only available for a tough meeting with Manchester City. If I proceed, Lily Woodham and Jenna Clark would replace them as visionary Liverpool options.

MIDFIELD

Despite three quiet weeks, Mariona Caldentey and Ella Toone stay. Both retain high ceilings and remain among the top-scoring midfielders this season.

Lucia Kendall keeps her place as my first double gameweek midfielder. Losing her visionary status is frustrating, but she’s nailed and has already shown scoring ability for England.

Hannah Cain holds visionary status and has an attractive home fixture against London City. Injuries elsewhere in Leicester’s attack could boost her minutes as a number ten or even as a striker. I’m hoping this is finally the week she rewards the patience.

My final midfielder is Freya Godfrey, who continues to impress in her debut WSL campaign with four goal involvements from 0.55 xGI/90. I’m debating a move to Kirsty Hanson – now playing up front for Villa – which would allow me to keep McCabe, but the more likely outcome is that Godfrey stays in my team for the deadline.

FORWARDS

Georgia Mullett remains a doubt after missing Sunday’s match through injury, but Natalia Arroyo’s update sounded cautiously positive, and training photos suggest she’s close. With issues elsewhere and no ideal replacement, I’ll hold in the hope she features in both games of Villa’s double.

Bunny Shaw reinforced her elite status with two goals and an assist away at Leicester. She’s a lock in my team and stays there unless injury forces my hand.

Beata Olsson is my standout captain this week. The Swedish forward has scored in four of her five WSL starts and holds visionary status heading into an excellent double against Aston Villa and West Ham. Her ceiling is massive. If I wasn’t committed to the Bench Boost, she would be in serious contention for Triple Captain.

Great article as always, thank you.

I hadn’t realised we got a wildcard during the winter break. Time for some 1 week gambles then.

Best of luck in the DGW! I bought Mullet last week for an unexpected injury, and have sold her again this week(!)

May well have been better to play her over another player but hate those questions marks over minutes(!)
