Saudi Fantasy managers head into Round 18 with several key decisions to make, as fixture swings, form trends and value picks all come into play.

Our Round 18 team reveals provide a clear snapshot of how managers plan to attack the Gameweek and where the biggest opportunities may lie.

NOTES

  • A 114-point return in Round 17 sparked a strong green arrow and lifted me back inside the top 10k. Captaincy paid off, with patience rewarded on Rúben Neves.
  • A huge 21-point haul from Enrique proved decisive. He stepped in as first substitute and helped secure another 100+ score.
  • I made no transfers once again, choosing to roll the free move.
  • Marcelo Grohe retains his spot between the posts.
  • The defence remains unchanged, with Nathan Zézé starting and Mohammed Mahzari moving to the bench.
  • In midfield, the setup stays the same apart from Neves, who misses out through suspension.
  • Up front, Cristiano Ronaldo and Enrique continue to lead the attack, with the captain’s armband handed to Ronaldo for this round.

NOTES

  • A successful Park the Bus call last round delivered a strong green arrow, lifting me to 2.3k overall. I briefly pushed inside the top 1k before late returns from Rúben Neves and Julián Quiñones pulled me back.
  • On paper, the squad still looks solid, but I’m considering a goalkeeper switch. Moving to Bono or Kewin would rotate well with Marcelo Grohe and allow me to bench Grohe this week, avoiding any hedging between dual assets.
  • The captaincy stays with Cristiano Ronaldo, and I don’t expect that decision to change.

NOTES

  • A strong round delivered 102 points, leaving me with one free transfer to use.
  • I decided to move on from Mateo Retegui, who hasn’t shown his best form recently, and bring in Ivan Toney, who arrives in excellent shape. He has scored 11 goals and registered four assists across his last 10 matches for Al-Ahli Jeddah.
  • I’m backing Cristiano Ronaldo this week against Al Taawoun. I expect him to outscore most alternatives in the round.
  • The captain’s armband stays with Cristiano Ronaldo.

NOTES

  • I may choose to roll my transfer this week, but I’m also considering selling Josh Brownhill for Musab Al Juwayr if I decide to make a move.
  • The captain’s armband stays firmly on Cristiano Ronaldo, who once again looks like the standout option.
  • Best of luck to everyone this round – hopefully the points flow and the green arrows follow.

NOTES

  • My plan for this week is to bring in Ivan Toney in place of Cristiano Ronaldo.
  • For captaincy, I’ll hand the armband to Joshua King and back him to deliver this round.
  • Good luck to everyone – hoping for a strong week ahead.
