It’s time for another team reveal as we approach Gameweek 24 of Fantasy Premier League (FPL).

Dan Wright – who you can find here on X – has five top 10k finishes, which means he ranks 17th in our Career Hall of Fame.

Gameweek 23 proved to be another difficult round. My squad managed just 34 points, which saw my overall rank slip to 35k.

Who to bench to play timber? Or should I BB?

    Gabriel Chalobah Mukiele
    Bruno Rice Rogers LeFee
    Haaland Ekitike Thiago

    Dub Szobo Timber Collins

I'd be very tempted to bench boost. You should get 15 out and wouldn't need to worry about it when wildcarding later

Morning guys. Had a rough few weeks on FPL and life in general. Could do with some FPL advice

    Verbruggen
    Dorgu* Gabriel Keane
    Mbeumo BrunoF Garner Rice
    Haaland Pedro DCL

    Dubravka VdV Thiaw Miley

    2FT 2.9m ITB

    1. Dorgu + Miley > Maguire + Enzo
    2. Dorgu + Miley > Chalobah + Buendia
    3. Dorgu + Garner > Maguire + Rogers
    4. Dorgu > Chalobah & roll 1 FT
    5. Something else (open to suggestions)

Anyone on my bench I should sub in and, if so, for who?

    Thanks in advance

      Dorgu and garner out.
A Chelsea defender in. Chalobah is a good choice.
In midfield it’s more open. I guess you cannot afford Rogers or Rice.
      Enzo?

Hi Bobby. I can’t get to Chalobah and Enzo. If I do Maguire for Dorgu I can get Rogers if I sacrifice Garner, Enzo if I sacrifice Miley

    Verbruggen

    Timber Gabriel VVD (Richards Dorgu)

Rice Enzo Rogers Bruno F (C) (Anderson)

    Bowen Thiago Haaland

Very much out of the loop so not sure how this looks going forward..

Besides the match where Fulham had two red cards and Bruno scored twice in the end to win 3-1...

It's often close between Fulham and Man U, 0-1, 1-1, 2-1 etc in recent games.

Do you place any reliance on team head to head history's?

    1. Viper
      • 16 Years

Not really but it can be useful confirmation bias 🙂 All I know is Bruno could end on a 10 pointer from 1 assist

        True

Predictive models for betting markets etc are based on the historical record, head to head, venue etc as they are a correlation with past performance.

But you're also right, currently I've talked myself out of Semenyo to Bruno for free because of it!

Nope. One team has Bruno Fernandes & the other doesn't

They drew 1-1 in the last two

Benefitting from a Bruno goal and a Muniz OG along with a Bruno penalty miss in that match.

A massive RA* constituting Ruben Amorim* should be applied to all historical records to mark his involvement in such atrocities

I think Fulham is a very different proposal to City or Arsenal (where frankly they were lucky with a howler and two worldies) …. Can United actually attack?

        They can counter attack

What can they work with possession?

A score draw might be the reasonable prediction for tomorrow

I don't think history counts for much unless its very recent and with the same managers and players. It'll be interesting to see United under Carrick at home when the onus is on them to attack more.

That's logical but there's also a club v club record that transcends personnel

        It's quite interesting to see

I don’t see how an FA Cup game where our front line, keeper, and manager are no longer at the club is relevant

            I meant in general

Club v club rather than an individual match

As a United fan, in recent years it's not uncommon for us to turn up in the big games. The issue has been replicating the same effort etc in the games against sides we *should* beat. Fulham will be well organised and will probably be happy to let us have more of the ball. I am between Haaland and Bruno for C but in general I struggle to trust United in these sort of games. Hopefully I'm wrong though

Is going with a back 5 a wild choice? Mukiele Gab Chal Guehi and Dalot in the back. Dalot would be who I’d bench but idk, think i’m just chasing those few 15 pointers he’s had.

Bruno G Wilson and DCL subs.
Thoughts opinions concerns? First two in particular could easily score some pts. Less confident in DCL.

    A. Play Keane (Thiaw first sub)
    B. Bring in Chalobah for -4
    C. Bring in Timber for -4

Will likely hold onto WC to navigate any dgw's and blanks. On the face of it a hit not good, but might pay off longer term if I do hold onto the WC.
