Igor Tudor gets to manage Tottenham Hotspur for the first time this afternoon.

Arsenal are the visitors to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where the action gets underway at 16:30 GMT.

TEAM NEWS

Mikel Arteta has made two changes to the Arsenal team that drew at Molineux on Wednesday.

Eberechi Eze and Leandro Trossard come in as Noni Madueke and Gabriel Martinelli drop to the bench.

Bukayo Saka is consequently fit to start.

Martin Odegaard is named among the substitutes, but Kai Havertz misses out completely.

As for Spurs, Tudor has made two alterations to the starting XI they sent out in their last Premier League game.

Joao Palhinha comes into the team for the injured Wilson Odobert, while Randal Kolo Muani starts up front in place of the benched Dominic Solanke.

LINE-UPS

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Vicario, Palhinha, Dragusin, van de Ven, Gray, Sarr, Bissouma, Spence, Gallagher, Simons, Kolo Muani

Subs: Austin, Richarlison, Tel, Solanke, Souza, Olusesi, Williams-Barnett, Rowswell, Wilson

Arsenal XI: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Hincapie, Zubimendi, Rice, Saka, Eze, Trossard, Gyokeres

Subs: Kepa, Mosquera, Odegaard, Jesus, Martinelli, Norgaard, Madueke, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly

For anyone starting multiple Arsenal defenders, you’ve completely underestimated the emotional and mental aspects of football. First, with the way Wolves recovered a 2 goal lead, and second, in how much Tottenham will want to show up vs their arch rival.

I find it fascinating that some people don’t see the signs that the wheels are falling off.. I have total respect for Andy on Lets Talk FPL, but someone challenged him on starting double Arsenal defence and he said (something to the effect of), “if thy concede, Ill do it again vs Chelsea and the week after that, and the wee after that… because they’re the best defence””. He’s not wrong but that statement (and stats) are based on what went before, perhaps with less pressure on Arsenal’s results.

As much as I don’t like Arsenal and I’m quick to mock them - Rice is a quality footballer.
They all have their worse and better moments.

Is he as good as Gerrard - no
Is he far off - no

I've taken a 52 point hit across the last 3 gameweeks. Scored 222 points across the three gameweeks, two 5 digit gameweeks ranks and gone up in overall rank.

Double game weeks help, as you have more room for error. Don’t think it’s sustainable in single gameweeks.

To be honest, I was basing it off previous games I’ve watched. I only just put it on and he immediately made an error trying to dribble out of defence. Fair play to him if he’s had a good game prior to that.

Considering the points below, any reason not to WC now?

    1. Triple Arsenal def
    2. Non playing bench
    3. Enzo and Sarr
    4. Wirtz potentially injured
    5. Ekitike could be a sell as well

Just WC now and try rolling up to 5FTs?

Well not really.. I just pick players with a long term plan and stick to the decision not to rage them out. There are some positives ... like I still own O'Reilly who would surely have been a rage transfer out. But I benched him for 2 last hauls (:

With the way luck decides this game its entirely pointless to make rage transfers.

Timber is such a waste of money. No DC and he doesn't even take his man on or put a cross in. All he does is a short pass to Saka who has a better chance of getting an assist

he did first half of the season, but he's been overplayed and fatigue is stopping him from being dynamic

Thing is, you’ll probably want him on WC for 34 onwards

Arsenal players leaving my team with each GW.
They’re a shadow of what they were right now. If they don’t win this, it’s all over

I can see Rice scoring here to make up for his mistake.

I was thinking the same. He IS that type of player. But...I can only see arsenal crumble here.
